21:30 i wish someone would say "postseason draft" where playoff teams can pick 1 player from a noncontending team It'd fix our frustration with Mike trout and shohei ohtani never making it to October I heard it some time ago and thought it was so great idea that it would spread quickly
I like the theory of it but the devil in the details kill this idea unless a lot of minds smarter than ours figured out the details for how this would work and not just leave baseball in the hands of the "great empire" teams AKA, Dodgers, Yankees and the like.
@Redpoppy80 i don't see how it'd do that. Surprise teams make it in all the time. Think of the 2020 marlins I think it'll help smaller teams more since the percent improvement of adding shohei to the twins i think is higher than to the yankees Idk if the order they pick should be in date when they clinched their spot, or in win% @ the end of the season. I'm partial to date since it puts emphasis on winning your division for more variety
I am an A’s fan who grew up in Berkeley and Oakland. The A’s were magical and the Giants boring. No brainer to be an A’s fan starting in 1971. Will NEVER switch to the giants. In fact I’m so disappointed in MLB, I will never watch or follow it anymore. I was a fairly successful High School player so not just a fan. BTW Hunter is real asset to baseball. Intelligent and entertaining.
When I was working at an outlet mall right next to a minor league stadium I went to throw the trash away. I opened up the gate and there was Pablo sitting on the ground with more food than I thought possible to eat. He must’ve been put on a diet and was hiding
I've never seen a bashed helmet, except in the Army when someone ran over one with an LMTV. Ask Pence if he can post a picture of it somewhere. I've thrown helmets, in my playing days, and they bounce like bouncy balls, so I've always been scared deep down to hit it with anything. Definitely over 10 cups. I drink two cups every day and did the math one morning. I don't drink two. I drink 5-10, depending if i brew a second pot. Large mug.
If Anthony said that if baseball got in the way of faith or family, he's leaving. does that mean there's never been a pta meeting? His wife never needed him to open a jar, there was never a bible study group during the 6 month baseball season or training? Cuz that's a damn lie 😂
It’s pretty awkward how the hosts kept making this whole interview about Pablo Sandoval. There’s a lot of different topics to talk about, but they just hyper focused on Pablo for like eight solid minutes. Just awkward.
The Giants have their own version of moneyball 2. Farhan and Melvin were in Oakland together....and won nothing. Moneyball ruined baseball. It gave the owners an excuse not to spend on stars. It brought phrases like "competitive" to many teams.
What’s the mystery with Rendon? Doesn’t every industry or workplace have someone who hates it and goes through the motions? You can’t change that guy, so don’t waste mental space and move on. Rendon is a non-topic.
LA is the same way, yet players want to play for the Dodgers. The reasons SF has trouble signing free agents are: Oracle Park punishes hitters Although not as cold as Candlestick Park, Oracle Park is still cold at night Speculation here: perhaps players don't have confidence in ownership/baseball operations
Hunter’s enthusiasm is infectious and there’s no cure! Loved watching him play. 🤪😀
Man, Pence is the best. Been lovin' that guy since his time in Houston. Hated that we didn't keep him. Loved this interview!
really good takes by Hunter Pence!
Best baseball discussion forum ever.
💯
really liked the way pence asked them who their favorite hustle guys were
Great show today!

Lol
The Puerto Rican winter league does this and it’s awesome. Each round you win in the playoffs you get to take a player from the team you beat too.
@@PabloRamosKing oh that's really cool. Lmao taking the spoils of War

I’m taking the 10 cups of coffee OVER too 😂
Pence brings great energy, passion, and knowledge to these discussions. I get the feeling he would have succeeded in any number of professions…
Christopher Morel is a gamer!
burst of energy and good vibes!

Can't hate Pence, definitely liked watching him goofy throw yet be really good
Astros legend Hunter Pence. 😁
Appreciate Pence being positive, but the Giants are sneaky good?! ROFLMAO, they'll be a .500 team.

Sal Frelick reminds me of Hunter Pence

Thairo Estrada couldn't hit his weight in NY lol...now .270 every year since...

Hunter's a very optimistic treasure.
Bring Brett the Gardy on next!

He got paid and checked out.
Pence seemed like he loved hanging out with FT
No wonder pence had a wonky swing. Tea and coffee, He was zooted out of his gills.

In Morgan Freeman voice: "But this Giants team will not be good."
People don’t want to go to San Francisco because it sucks. Taxes suck the crime and theft is terrible and there’s doo doo all over the street

SF is a hellhole.
False. The people who say that have an unfortunate worldview.
Hey look an echo escaped from its chamber!
So is LA, yet players want to play for the Dodgers.
Go Dodgers!!!
