Good luck, complete garbage and they don’t stand behind their products. And do not waste your $ on the POS foot pedal.

Just finished a two day outing 18hrs in total no issues. Best thing about getting a bargain second hand item, you don't need to worry, just send it 😉

@@tworodsdownunder I got mine new and it’s put me in the rocks quite a few times. Don’t waste your $ on the foot pedal.

Nice roomy tinny mate. Had an Xi3 for a couple of years and it's been good until yesterday, where it shit itself and lost steering. Still trying to work out what the issue with it is. Spot lock is a game changer esp for casting lures and holding over a school of reddies. Lithium batteries are a game changer, with regard to useable capacity and of course weight saving. Great for days out on electric only impoundments.

Great video, best part is that it's recent and Aussie.
How much did you get the Xi5 for? What length shaft? I'm about to pull the trigger on a 54 inch 12v Xi5 for the Macquarie River in Central NSW.
    Rivers look almost identical!

Glad you like the video it's a bit different to the norm, this is the 60" 24v 80lb version, would have went a shorter shaft for my boat if buying new, but it was a bargain. Picked it up for $800 with two 100AH batteries.

Hey mate, driving about 4 hours to buy one second hand tomorrow. Anything you’d recommend on looking out for? Mostly concerned about corrosion. Thanks

@@guydixon7012 Yep, check for corrosion, if it has some it doesn't have to be a deal breaker if it's just surface, can easily sand and touch up with paint. Check over the power cable to the head and make sure it looks decent enough. If you have access to batteries you can check it running and if the remote is working. Mines been solid, was a great buy.

You could probably troll for days on 24v with a small boat. How fast can you go just on the electric?

I did a quick test and was cruising around 10km/h. A fair bit of weight in the boat, floor and supports are all wooden, soon to be changed for alloy etc.

Looks good Kev, I’m jealous. Maybe instead of new carpet lay down eva foam, easier to clean and it’ll modernise the old girl a bit. I watched an awesome tinny boat upgrade series on RUclips by Adam Ryan and he does up his little red boat and it looks mint 👌🏻

I've had both the Xi5 and iPilot. I will say while the Xi5 was too difficult for the kids to deploy and stow by themselves. However, the head unit motor is MUCH quieter than the iPilot and i really miss that.

I was really surprised by how quiet it is, nothing like stealth fishing💯
