The melody is monotonous and hypnotic, unsurpassed voice...but man, the message, those lyrics has haunted me for years...That is the magic of this damn song... like a mantra.
Have a wonderful Wednesday! I didn't get into this song until about 1990-1991 when I bought the cassette on clearance. Loved it! It was my driving music to college back then. My boys are becoming big Fixx fans thanks to my continued 80s playlists
I was told to come listen to this song by a psychic. I’ve heard it many times and knew the words, but never knew the true meaning. I just read that it’s about reincarnation. Meeting up with your true love over and over in each lifetime. . . . Extreme Chillybumpers❣️
the tension they build on the jam is incredible. feeding the rhythm from all instruments. great mix and jam really makes me feel a sense of possibility. wishing you a happy ride fellow passngers !
It's a shame that the only FIXX song they ever play on the radio is "One Thing Leads To Another". (My least favorite song from them.) Walkabout is one of the top 5 albums of the 80s in my opinion. Every song on that album is great!
I'll bear one precious scar that only you will know again Passengers in time, free me I'll bear one precious scar that only you will know Passengers in time, free me
Amazing band that were just to dangerous for the mainstream. Their track "Driven out" is perhaps the song that Roger Hallam from Extinction Rebellion should walk on stage to .
The 80s in my opinion produced too many sound alike bands and little if anything remarkable. However, The Fixx is a marvelous exception and I applaud them for refusing to compromise. Amazing lyrics and incredible melody.

Not sure about your first stanza...maybe, "I'll bear one precious scar that only you and I will share (see)"
