It took me a few tries to route internally the brake cable. a steer spider from FSA ACR will do the job but the cable folds enough it would ruin hydraulic braking... Profile design tri stem needs some machining to ease off that braking line. Maybe an ACR Stem from vision or fsa, whichever, will make it smoother. Once it's done the bike is amazing
Love the new bike. I have the zipp vuka aero cockpit. You can get one cheap 2nd hand they have a nose cone your Junction or blip box will fit in or most of the Tririg base bars will hold the junction box as well.
Nice! I think you got a decent amount of kit there for your money. Def paint it if your mate will do it, your Canyon looked great and I think a custom paint job on this would too! I'm trying to migrate all in with disc brakes as well, probably more a requirement due to my pasties / sausage rolls appetite than sole braking performance in the wet! :)
I ran the cable internally through tririg bars and an fsa bung. No fettling necessary. Dunno why cervelo didn't do this from the factory. Just keeping it cheap i guess.
Looks like a nice bike with future scope for upgrades. Quite nice to have some scuffs to as it makes you less worried about scratching it if brand new 😧
Hi Dan, thanks for the video! Would you mind doing a video on your search process... I am currently also searching for a TT bike but the prices are just nuts ... eg an old bike used for several years costs few hundreds less
It’s all subjective based on the courses you ride I’d say, I didn’t ride my TT bike outside of events as the brakes were poor in the hills near me, this will be lots better for that. Also got some lumpy / twisty events planned next year. Wheel tech is all in disc brake models too really
@TriathlonDan it definitely makes sense to give people more confidence on the decents, especially in the wet, chris froome did a very good interview about the bike industry tech forcing people onto the heavier disc brakes, it's just a personal preference, you'll have to mention it in one of your videos of the difference it makes And which you prefer, 👍
Nice bike Dan. Rim brakes need aluminium tracks, I've got a nice pair of campagnol Aly rims on my TT bike because I can't afford carbon rims to race on 2 or 3 times a year and rim brakes on carbon is dangerous on public roads
@@9Bijo good work! I’ve never trained on my TT because of the gearing / brakes / wheels and the hilly area I live in. Hope that’ll change with this, though I still prefer a road bike with clip on bars for training tbh
That Felt was the nuts, this looks like a big downgrade, both aerodynamically and with the disc brakes. Can't see what problem you've solved or how you've upgraded in any way.
I think the Felt looks faster than it actually is, like the majority of new tri bikes aren’t going super deep frames so surely it’s not that fast 🤷♂️ I’ll stand corrected if there’s data though. I’m heavy I need to be able to stop 🤣 got a few hilly events planned next year and my local area is all hilly & twisty, I hardly rode the Felt because of that. Blue is faster though I know ;!

Congrats on the new to you tri

Hose not cable
Thanks very much! I’m hoping it’ll be this easy, though I’m likely to use my Felt stem and aftermarket basebar
I’ve got Hunt’s on both Road and TT (with EZ disc) bike and never had an issue! Hopefully you’ll get on well with them
Nice one cheers for that! Looking forward to giving them a whirl
Great choice. I also went from felt to p series and have been very happy with my choice.
Nice one, thanks!

@@CycleXplorer thanks very much, exactly that, no first ride stress!
Hah, no way, you beat me to this on FB marketplace (assuming it was based in Hinckley!) Great buy
Haha sorry! Yeah seems all good so far! Not really spent any time on it yet but hoping to spruce it up soon

Will do! Cheers
How do heavier disc brake bikes ride better than rim??
Weight isn't important for a tt bike at all
Disc brakes belong to mountain bike and cyclocross, heavier, chances of Disc rub, if the pros had a choice they would choose rim for sure, 😊

Great deal that Dan given that the ultegra mechanical p series is £4.5k and the di2 Ultegra £7.5k
I hope Liz sees this 😜 cheers dude 👍
What do you mean riding a few times a year! I have 5 bikes but ride the TT from Jan to Sep for 90% of my rides, indoors and outside!

Great bike dan, and great price. Looks amazing, let us know how it rides
Cheers Patrick! With me on it at the minute, slowly 🤣
I have the 2023 version and I think it has some issues but mostly it's fine
Nice one! Mostly fine is good enough for me 🤣
Colour looks good to me
It’s growing on me!
If only you knew a bike fitter to help with position
Ahh it’s been a while since Dan has touched my Lycra clad body, he will be ecstatic with this news 🎉🥳
Speedmax!
This aged well 🤣
@@TriathlonDan My heart sank a bit when i saw this video. Todays video brought it back. Its been a rollercoaster!
Cervelo... excellent choice.
Cheers! Coming to a Belper 10k near you 🤣
Welcome to the c club! 😁
Nice! Hope you like yours 😬
@@TriathlonDan Love it, also p-series with lower tier shifting. Enjoy yours, Dan.
By the time you change all that stuff, you could have bought a new one 🤣🤣
Haha true but that doesn’t count then 🤣
Nice 😎👍🏼
Coming to a CX race near you soon 🤣👍
It’s not blue.
Yet 👀
