Tremonti is a monster and grossly underrated as a musician. Between Creed, Alter Bridge, and all his solo albums, the man has some epic music to his name and each album is different. His solo stuff is phenomenal.

Mark Tremonti is not only an amazing musician. But he's a great male role model. His music speaks volumes about his soul and values. And he's shown plenty of ways that he is a loving father and husband that in the multiple times I've met was a very well mannered humble man. We are lucky to have this man making music. God bless Mark Tremonti and all of you. If you're here you have the same goodness and I hope you're all alright and you know you're not alone in this world. There are people that are praying for your safety and happiness. ❤

I needed this reminder to not give up and to remain strong. Even when life seems to be falling apart before my eyes. Jesus Christ laid his life down for every single human being because we are all wicked sinners. Jesus Christ is our creator and wants us to come home from this wicked world. Once you have him this world doesn’t matter anymore because he is the answer.

    "Marching In Time"
So many lives marching in time,
Move to the beat of the old and the blind,
    Under the skin, hollow within
Sift through the ashes we've all left behind,
    Oh please promise me
    I'd do anything
    I'd do anything
Don't let this cold world change you
Don't ever go astray, and don't you
    Fail to keep on giving
Don't fail to show your strength... No
Like so many lives marching in time
Never let go, hold onto hope
Know in your heart that you'll never be alone
I know you will see if you believe
The more that you give, then the less you'll ever need
    Oh please promise me
    You're my everything
Don't let this cold world change you
Don't ever go astray, and don't you
    Fail to keep on giving
Don't fail to show your strength, no
Like so many lives marching in time
    Don't ever forget
This worlds not claimed you yet and all you've come to be so go in peace
    So am I
    I'm worn and I'm tired
    Take your life
    And go and thrive
Don't let this cold world change you
Don't ever go astray and don't you
    Fail to keep on giving
Don't ever lose your strength, no...

I love how mark has come so far, I remeber in an interview back in the 90s , mark talking about lead guitarist soloing and shredding, he said he could never do that. But even with creed, you can tell he was limiting himself, at least mentally.

One of the greatest lines ever written in a song…. “The more you give, the less you will ever need”. I have taken that to heart in the last year. To the guy who needed a couple bucks outside 7-11, to the lady on the corner with the sign saying “homeless, please help and God bless”, to a coworker down on their luck…. It has made me humble. It has also rewarded me in ways I never expected. Tremonti rocks, and inspires me in my guitar playing in both his solo work and with Alter Bridge

  • @HeathClark
    @HeathClark 3 года назад +58

What a listen. First off, his vocals have improved so much. His tone when he sings “So am I, I’m worn and I’m tired”, was beautiful. He is really coming into his own as a singer.
I was worried about the drumming after Garrett left (good luck to you bro), but Ryan’s drumming on this song couldn’t have been done by anyone else. His style is such a change from the last few albums, but its just what the songs need. Incredible, glad to have you on board man.
Erock killed it as always. His and Mark’s vocals mix so well together and is the staple behind this band. While Marks vocals are so powerful and raw, it wouldn’t be the same without Erock being there to lift them up in the choruses (And in If Not For You;’s verses, wow.). Stay strong Erock.
I haven’t seen one comment about Tanner’s sound. I follow the dude on Instagram and he plays just about every instrument made. I give him props to the biggest change on these first two singles: the bottom end. Go back and listen to If Not For You, when the choruse kicks in, the bass sound underneath the rest is so different that before in a good way. The sound is thick and heavy. His bass adds the glue and finishing touches on the songs so far, keep it up Tanner!
Overall, I’m so glad the mixing came out good. Whether you agree or not, AB’s last few albums mix’s weren’t the greatest. I’m a big fan of Walk the Sky, but it could’ve been pushed to the next level with good mixing. These first two songs take me back to the early Tremonti and AB: A nice rich guitar tone, gold bass and drums and top tier vocals. What a great song Mark, thanks for continuing to work and put out music. I know its easy to get lost in the negative things this industry has to offer, but here you standout among the crowd with your solid roots and that’s why you have the fan base that you do. We listen to everything on our ways to work in the morning and when we’ve had a bad day. You’ve talked (sang) me through some rough times and I know that you hope your music is helping people and it is. Keep going dude, no matter what they say.
BTW, this is the lineup. You four play so well together, and it shows through you musicianship. Keep it up fellas :)
