How exciting! Being part of the grand opening for a new sports card store is like stepping into collector's paradise! Hope you had a blast exploring all the goodies!
In north Carolina to have a card shop in a mall ,you have to sell alot of any card to make rent ,must less a profit , but back in the day there would be 3 or 4......the good old days 😂
So sad really. Going from shop to shop with my dad on Saturdays is one of my best memories. Where I live, there is one shop about 40 minutes away. And he's more of a travel dealer and his shop is more of a warehouse with packs for sale
Hey Jabs - this video brought back some memories. My grandparents lived in Greensburg and I spent some time as a kid in the late 80’s/early 90’s going to Westmorland Mall and Tobacco Village! Surprised to see it’s still there!
Tobacco Village at Westmoreland Mall was my first “LCS” as well! 😂 Always thought it was funny with the guys talking cigars, etc. and kids going in and out buying cards.
WOW!! I have a lot of videos to catch up on! Hope everyone is doing well and had a great Easter!! 🐣🎉 Thanks for the video Jabs, always appreciated, Sir! 🙏
Must be nice to live in an area where a new one open occasionally, I think we've had one new one open since the junk wax era... back then there was a shop about every 5 miles... eBay is more my LCS than anything else.
I've started collecting all the different versions of Oneil Cruz Topps RC and am having the most fun I've ever had collecting. The cards are fairly cheap and I believe have plenty of upside. Even if they don't make me a fortune I'm having fun like I did collecting as a kid!
The Ernie Banks is cool. My dad's family was from farm country outside Chicago. My great gramps gave me my favorite heirloom a 1929 cubs team pic from the the newspaper and their World Series year signed by most of the team and framed. The coolest thing I own still. Many hall of famers
Nice card store! So few and far here in Northern Illinois... As a WhiteSox fan I never liked the uniforms that they wore on that Jordan sp. BlackJack McDowell was a monster with the Sox for awhile...
Mr Jabs sir, this was a great video. That store looks amazing. I'm a huge Roger fan. Two Dollars for a bowman pack of any year is insane, especially for hobby. If my undefeated Tigers play the undefeated Pirates at PNC, I might have to visit Westmoreland Mall and Kennywood to ride some rides and get some goodies.
I wish them the best but just don't see how the economics of a shop like this can work out for sustained success. It looked like there were several employees to pay too.
Mall card shops tend to be awful for vintage material, but here it looks like they have some nice stuff. Typically mall card shops tend not to last very long, either. Best of luck to them and thanks for the video, I especially enjoyed the Score jumbo pack opening (even though not a fan of that set).

Grew my sideburns out like Brady Anderson as well! And to this day they are exactly the same. Other than being gray now😢
i have a card store about 20 mins from me in charleston sc its called collectors corner and i got 3 wax boxes for 15 with a sale
Thanks for supporting your LCS. Have to do a return when the shop is complete.
