Rust - My Favorite 2x2 Fully Extended - Rust Base Design 2021, i believe the bunnkers no longer work and you never made a pt. 2 with the compound. Loved this base and would love to see a remake. Welcome back
fun tip for the electricity aspect. i usually set the electrical branch to a small battery then the battery to the turret. this way if they get the main battery the turrets remain active for a while longer.
You're one of the few people who explain how to use these things correctly. A lot of new people in the game, a lot of new building metas, you're one of the few people who put them together perfectly. Thank you for help teaching the noobs.
You can also use low walls to block in your turrets. They can still target and shoot at people from behind them and it makes it way harder to kill them.
Another good strat is using heartbeat sensors connected to doors that the auto turrets are behind. So they turret is only exposed when the raider is in a position where he can be can be shot. You can actually use one heartbeat to open 2 doors at once if you use and switches which will make it even more difficult for them when 2 auto turrets appear at once
This is what I do. 1 heartbeat sensor opens 2 garage doors exposing a turret; with everything placed so that 2 turret pods will open for any 180deg angle. The next tip is to then feed the "No Ammo" output into a blocker, blocking the flow of current to the door controllers. This way, if they do manage to bait your turret until it runs out of ammo, the doors will close and remain closed, regardless if they are in range of the sensor or not. Protects your turrets and the guns inside of them when they have no more ammo.
@@randomutubr222 such a good idea with the blocker! So I would just wire up the auto turret as normal, but through a blocker, with an extra wire from the no ammo part in to the side of the blocker right?

E branch for sensor -> E Branch for turret -> rest of power goes into AND switch + sensor output goes into AND switch -> blocker -> door controllers. Then the No Ammo output on the turret goes into the Block Passthrough on the blocker, which will prevent the door controllers from powering / opening the doors. Many times I run multiple test genny's and switches to a single light or some useless item for the sole purpose of distraction and forcing the waste of explosives to ensure an increase in the cost of the raid. probably the best part was making sure that a sweet target base was void of LOOT. There's NOTHING worse than spending several hours and massive amounts of explosives on a Raid to yields ONLY what's in TC, a bit of HQM and Metal. I will put 100 large boxes, all locked, either empty or with a Note that says "Arg ye found me loot" or some other cheeky thing just to piss the Raider off to the max.
