Is the Bluetooth and rear inputs 2 separate channels? Can they be used at the same time?

The Studio 5 doesn’t have Bluetooth, but the Eris 5BTs do. The inputs on the 5BTs can be used at the same time. You manage the overall volume on the front, Bluetooth volume is managed by the Bluetooth device, and the rear inputs are managed by their devices and/or a mixer.

How much is studio 5 better than E5XT?

I also had the Mackie MR524 and imo the Studio 5 sounds better. Better balance of sound, more even handed with all of the frequency's and while the MR524 has a deeper low it is not any clearer than the Studio 5, from memory at least. The Studio 5 certainly has a wider dispersion than my Mackie did, a wider soundstage which is nice. While they would not compare to the Adams in this video I think they are a very decent speaker. What I like about the Studio 5 is I can pop and drop these in my front room for playback with Spotify. I wanted to do that with the Mackies but the vocals didn't work that well there, far too forward almost separated from the rest of the music which made it difficult to listen to comfortably. I also have to say that these Studio 5s need a bit of time to bed in, out of the box the had next to no bass but after an hour or so the bass loosened up and started to flow. I use these for mostly Gospel Reggae and dance in general and have to say, I will be keeping them. They do get quite warm at the back but that should not be a concern especially if you buy these new with a 3 year warranty. They certainly do not get as hot as my old M Audio BX8 D3, those were volcanic! Incidentally, Presonus specifically designed these the new Eris Studio 5 to work with their new Eris Sub 8bt which is why they have only have mid and high tuning on the rear and no bass control other than low frequency cut off for what is needed for the sub, something people should bare in mind if they are going to purchase this speaker. The Studio 5 sounds a little cleaner than the older XT version.
