I think the reason you make everyday guy stuff so interesting is that you do what needs to be done, AND you usually do it RIGHT. And you have the RIGHT tools, or you make them when needed. Plus, you're a guy I can say without any doubts or reservations would be a great friend and neighbor to have. And as someone else mention, Levi gets a bit slower each passing video. What a great dog!

so last night i watched demolition of a trailer, work on the castle, digging trench and laying pipe and electrical and cable lines. now watching this truck rehab, in amazement of the skills of andrew.

He's a living legend to me (an attorney, and previously a mechanical illiterate and dependent consumer of all skilled labor), my surgeon wife (who I put through med school and surgery+colorectal residencies - who now coos at me about how handy I am after 22 yrs together), my 9 and 7 and 5 and 4 year old kids who know Andrew Camarata's name and voice by heart and now work on small engines and electric motors and have "operated" multiple excavators and a forestry CTL because of the confidence that Andrew's "can do" attitude gave me to enter a whole new universe 18 months ago when I bought 50 acres of woods and started developing it for a homestead farm. My wife wears one of his grey Tshirts, and displayed in my workshop I have a signed (and paw stamped) piece of his mini-excavator track. I turn 48 next month, and this channel has actually changed the life of my family. It's his attitude, and energy, and humility that really did it. So many RUclipsrs have an air of "me, not thee" about their skills. Andrews air is totally "you can handle this. Why not? K, let's get to work. "

Fix of the year for me!
They actually make a tool to do that same job. It hooks into the door latch and over the striker and you pry up. Made to "adjust" doors that have welded or bonded hinges and non replaceable bushings.
But Andrews is multi-purpose!

I had to do that once. Also used weight of the car to loosen and retorque two front suspension bolts. Gravity is a wonderful, underutilized force!
The only thing that makes me sad is to see Levi get a little more tired every month.
I have grown up always having dogs, but the grief when it ends is getting harder every time.
The hardest thing about owning dogs is when you have to put them down...even saying it just breaks my heart. And, you're right, Levi is getting "long in the tooth".

Some will pick apart everything others do
He'll replace them when the aftermarket ones get broken, which shouldn't take too long. The problems were with the OE wiring and not the lights themselves anyway.
he did specify being concerned about aftermarket parts only in the engine, if I'm not mistaken? funny comment though. l did think something along those lines when l saw those tail lights.

Sahadi420: I was taught that trick 50 years or so ago. Only we used a 2x4 and muscle instead of a jack. Wish we would have thought of the jack. Well, we probably did, but only had the standard jack instead of the good one like AC has.

Watched twice with this one. The way my father and I protect our trucks seats, we put a piece of cardboard on top of the seats or, a wide comfortable pillow, they last forever.
That's a nice camper, you can install home and start collecting a good rent off of it with a good decent person in there!

I love that I can watch and listen to him and there's no temper tantrums or bad language. He works through problems and repairs with patience. Know too many guys that are hot heads with volcanic tempers and hair triggers. It's relaxing to watch Andrew work it through, step by step. Patience, calm. No yelling or screaming. If extra steps or parts or tools are needed, that's ok. If a new problem is found, that's ok. He just accepts it and works through it. More ppl need that attitude. It ain't easy, y'all. Nuttin' s easy usually. But your attitude and how u react to it is everything.
I'm gonna call him " No drama Andy.". He just works through it. We have drama queen men who throw tantrums like spoiled 2 year olds. I'm not kidding. Screaming, livid, volcano heads. Bipolar, etc. Not fun.

Andrew... I realize this video is from last year but it is about the same time of year. When I was in the Army as a truck driver we always added a pint can of denatured alcohol to our 55-gallon tanks on our trucks in the wintertime. It helped to dry out the fuel and help remove any water. It is supposed to help fuel from waxing up in extremely cold weather. Like at Ft. Drum, NY. It doesn't help with five-foot snowdrifts in the motor pool though. That we had to get a bucket loader to get us out so we could convoy back to Ft. Bragg, NC.

lab cabbage it’s not that hard, especially it’s gonna come from a parts truck. I’ve put two in two different dodge 1500 trucks I’ve owned. One of them was a newly rebuilt motor that needed all the exterior components installed from the old motor, that takes a bit more effort but still pretty easy

I started laughing when he put his hands up like "where are you going?" lol
still got my 1994 Isuzu trooper turbo 3.1 diesel (Bighorn). had it 15 yrs, still good. Only had to replace the alternator, a set of wheels and 2 batteries. I had to replace the rear 2 doors after a Mitsi Canter truck ran into the back of me at the lights. The doors were bowed in by about half an inch and the front of his cab was stowed right in under the window. Use it to tow a 1.5 ton boat no worries. Best vehicle buy I ever made. Cheap to run. If you see a good one, grab it. With the seats folded in the back, the internal cargo room is huge and secure.

Trust me, he may be in his late twenties, but this guy has done more in the past year than most people do in a lifetime...and its all well documented. For example, building his own house/castle all by himself. My guess is that your truck stays spotless and you wash it every weekend. Those that can do, while those that can't like to play dress up and pretend.
@@jaybo3687 i drive dodges because they are simple and easy to work on. ***cough cough Cummins engines... but they've literally been truck of the year 2 years in a row... I was always a GM guy, but since they when bankrupt in 08 they've been tanking bad....

Dodge ram diesel owner here. Always turn the petcock on the bottom of the filter housing. It will drain the fuel and water out and you'll be able to clean the sludge from the bottom of the bowl. After draining and cleaning, reset the peacock. Next, put the cap with new o ring on the lid and replace the filter and cap. Lastly, cycle the key seven to ten times. The lift pump will fill the fuel bowl and the truck should kick right over.
