Ubisoft has been trying for years to chase this dragon that is far cry 3. Just getting bigger and bigger stars to play the villain role. No offense to any of the actors who starred as villains but none of them will ever be a Vaas Montenegro. The amount of fun and dedication Michael Mondo brought has still been unmatched. I also forgot to mention the brilliant writing on display for this game.

Vaas is honestly one of the most interesting villans I’ve seen in a video game. The way he speaks to people and talk to his victims is honestly something that hooks me. Everything he does you can break down and each fact about him is more interesting then the other. Ubisoft makes a lot of mistakes but one thing about them is that they know how to do Vaas justice each time

I would love, love, LOVE to see a collective AE for Far Cry 4. Not only was Pagan Min an excellent antagonist in his own right, but the way game paints Kyrat itself as the true antagonist is second to none. The conditions it places on every character puts everyone from Ajay, to Pagan, to even his deceased mother Ishwari somewhere on the monster scale. From the twist at the ending, to the gradual decay of Sabal and Amita, to De Plure running a torture operation while lovingly talking to his daughter on the phone. Truly an excellent game to show the subjectivity of evil, the lengths humans can go to rationalize their situations, and how one person's violent terrorist is another's noble freedom fighter.

Vas -Vaas : “Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?”
Vas is my favourite FPS title villain. I wish he was in the story longer. However, Vas being the main villain wouldn’t fit his role as a sociopathic puppet. Vas was really just a high ranking enforcer.
I really enjoyed your breakdown of a sociopath vs a psychopath. Throughout my life, I am certain I have encountered both sociopaths and psychopaths.
I think one of my university professors was a psychopath, as she enjoyed emotionally manipulating students and using her position of power to intimidate people, despite her lack of stature. Conversely, one of my ex-roommates who was a narcissist, seemed to become mentally unstable whenever he didn’t get his way. He would try to manipulate and intimidate people to get what he wanted. But unfortunately for him , he didn’t have the stature [being 5’4” and 225 pounds] nor the intelligence to be successful at using the previously mentioned methods to get what he wanted. However, he could easily manipulate his parents into getting what he wanted due to his spoiled upbringing.
    Excellent villain analysis as always.
    Villain Profile Suggestions:
    1. Frank Underwood/Francis Urquart (House of
Cards)
    2. 001 Squid Game)
    3. Petyr Baelish (A Song of Ice and Fire)
    4. Frank Gallagher (Shameless US
    5. Marty and Wendy Byrde (Ozark)
    6. Dudley Smith (L.A Confidential)
    7. Lorne Malvo (Fargo)
    8. Idi Amin (Last King of Scotland)
    9. Kratos (God of War series)

    • @kimberlysactualghost
      @kimberlysactualghost 6 месяцев назад +3

Vaas truly loved Citra, but Citra was infatuated with the prospect of taking up her purpose in leading the Rakyat, the superstitious and mystical ancient culture that is implied to be foundational to the tribes history on the Rook Islands; Vaas was disillusioned with what was essentially equivalent to religious ferver. Hoyt and his sociopathic detachment to reality- so much so that human trafficking was just modernization of global industry to his nihilistic world view, unironically so, only reassured Vaas.
Citra was happy to utilize Vaas as the sacrificial lamb as she does Jason in the "Join Citra" ending in the name of fulfillment to her people and their ancient culture, a means to an end. She was in love with her duty, Vaas with her.
"Everywhere I look, all these mother fuckers, everywhere I look, doing the exact same thing, over and over and over and over again, THINKING, 'This time, it's going to be different- no no no, please... THIS TIME, it's going to be different- I'm sorry, I don't.. LIKE, the way, YOU ARE LOOKING AT ME.'"
As we see in the Insanity flashbacks, Citra tried to manipulate several Rakyat warriors into coupling for what will ultimately accumulate into the ritual in question.
Vaas found Citra to be firstly foolish and later on, selfish and shattered his heart when it all finally clicked.

Vaas changed my whole expectations with villians in games honestly. I'd went from stiff villians like in Final Fantasy 10 and the like where you most definitely despise them to someone I couldn't help but like even as he did messed up sht. Truly a well written villian. Also I'm wondering if you have done Reapers from the Mass effect series yet? I hadn't seen it at least.

While Vaas is an awful human being, he still shows a lot of humanity helping an old disabled man❤

I usually have a show playing on a second screen while I’m playing video games, but when I played Far Cry 3 I would pause the show and turn up the volume every time Vaas was on screen. By far the best villain in any game I’ve played.

Yes!! 1 of my favorite video game villains ever! This has to do with this upload I was wondering if you'd do 1 on Handsome Jack? Also for a movie suggestion you should do all of the Reservoir Dogs. I WILL copy and paste every time you upload till you see it and do it. Love the content tho.

Suggestions for villains I'd love to see featured in upcoming episodes:
    * "Long John" Silver (Treasure Island)
    * Rosa Klebb (From Russia With Love)
    * Helga Brandt (You Only Live Twice - James Bond 007 franchise)

The best part about Vaas is that he wasn’t even in Far Cry 3 originally. Mando’s audition was so good that Ubisoft specifically created the character around him, in turn giving us one of the best villains to ever grace gaming

Should we get an episode on Jason Brody? Even if we take the canonical "good" ending as the only option, Jason still winds up being pretty vicious during Far Cry 3 and calls himself a monster by the end.
I think it's pretty obvious that we could conclude he's not evil, but it would still be a fun episode to explore nonetheless.
