If you’re curious as to how such great sound is achieved in these busking videos, here is why. Ren has always done the sound mixing for his own music as well as for The Big Push’s videos and has said he is obsessed with making each song sound perfect. He explained the process for recording and mixing the busking videos in the comments of one of their videos: “Line inputs running from each of the busking amps into a H4N recorder. Then the H4N condenser mic placed in front of the amps to capture the ambience of the street, then another iPhone mic recording the drums (just set on voice recorder), then mix all that together in post on logic with some light compression and EQ to make everything pop, and voila!”
On the flipside of this, if you listen to their busking sessions which others have filmed on their phones and posted, they sound pretty dammed good, without all of Ren's efforts!!!
War pigs mashup is the same Red Suspenders Big Push busking session ❤ right after this mashup at the beginning of the war pigs mashup video you can hear Ren say going from the I shot the sheriff mashup to war pigs mashup is like getting kicked in the face right after getting a massage 😂

My favorite line from War Pigs is the intro - "Going straight in from that (this mix) to Black Sabbath is like getting a massage then kicking them in the face." "Cool, the old massage kick in the face!"

They have a way with the arrangement of their mash ups that is unlike any other. @@CyberSkullMediaa fun thing about LM1 is that you get to hear Ren talk about his view on life, back when he was a lil baby; it was written wayyyyyyyy back in like 2010 or something while he was still with his 1st band Trick the Fox. (there's a video of Ren & bandmate Charlie Fowler performing it in front of an Adidas store on Trick the Fox's RUclips channel although I think the videos were uploaded well afterwards, if I remember correctly? But TtF was when Ren was 19/20, just as he was first starting to get sick & leading up to getting signed to Sony & then not being able to continue in the studio because he was terrifyingly unwell. So no matter what the date is on the RUclips upload, the video can be dated to those years). Edit: but the recorded version of LM1 is on RenMakesMusic. 👍 Just in case that but of long-winded babbling gets anyone interested.
The next song in this set is titled "War Pigs" and should definitely be your next Big Push. "The Hunger" is a fun one of Ren flexing a crazy variety of flows, but "Genesis" is my kind of rap. Absolute 🔥 and there's an acoustic version as well if you have time for a double feature. 😉 So glad Ren's inspiring more art & really, really happy when anyone remembers dead prez. Ren is thorough in h8s appreciation 9f many genres of music, but he's clearly a loving student of 90s hip-hop. ❤ Great job everyone!
This was a GREAT one to do after the HEAVINESS of the tales. It was really fun to watch. Even got Shades to head bop. Thanks again guys. Have one AMAZING day. ❤🤗❤
The irony of Shades having rather stoic reactions on a REACTION video is quite comical, but you know he really vibes with something we he does get active! Shades is the introverted audience relatability factor 😂 have a great day yourself!
Oh I am so down for this ride. You guys are fun as hell and the Ren rabbit-hole is deep and wide. He's got a pretty decent catalog of his own, then there's the pile of the Big Push songs that are just banger after banger, his duos with folks like Chinchilla and Sam Tompkins. Looking forward to enjoying the ride with y'all
This is where you find out the Ren Rabbit Holes has more n more Rabbit holes to go down, The Big Push as a band and the individual members as well as all his collaborations friends 😂 btw nice move with the Mighty Boosh clip

Love the reactions guys! Just be yourselfs shades or not, i simply couldn't care less. Pause as much as you want so you don't miss anything. Love that you go down the Ren rabbit hole! And for more about his illness and background listen to troubles. Again love the reactions and that you keep your reactions close to yourselfs👌
I'm sure someone's said already, but Romain Axisa (lead guitar here) and Gorran (bass here) were also Ren's roommates through lockdown. Both also sing and all three of them switch instruments... Ren plays bass as often as Gorran, all three play acoustic and rhythm and lead electric. Glenn is the drummer. I think Gorran's last name is Kendall... I forget Glenn's (sorry, Glenn!) Don't forget that The Big Push has great busking videos, but also actual videos and original songs as well as covers. I'm really big into the original songs right now. It's too had they had to (very amicably) break up when Ren went to Canada for treatment and the other guys went their own ways, too. Romain is the guy under the hood playing guitar in Money Game p1 and in last week's live televised performance of Money Game p2, though. And he was also at Ren's festival, Secret Garden Party, both with Ren and with his own set. It's so nice they're still super tight, their friendship really looked like the best. Gorran's traveling the continent busking and Glenn settled down, got married and got a "real job" as an engineer or something.

Just in case that but of long-winded babbling gets anyone interested.
So glad Ren's inspiring more art & really, really happy when anyone remembers dead prez. Ren is thorough in h8s appreciation 9f many genres of music, but he's clearly a loving student of 90s hip-hop. ❤
Great job everyone!
Thank you so much!!! War Pigs will be our next TBP video, probably won't happen until next month!
OMFG, I want that hat, Shades!!!
His hat game is strong 😂
My favourite happy place is TBP. They are an absolute joy.❤
Shades is the introverted audience relatability factor 😂 have a great day yourself!
here for more!!!!!!!!
Hell yeah!
Glad you enjoyed this.👍💕🦇
Loved it!
Thanks for reactng to this banger. Super excited for when you get around to doing Losing It.
Can't wait!
Looking forward to enjoying the ride with y'all
Look forward to having you along for the ride!!!
Well done! You will love war pig cover with big push also.
It'll be the next Big Push we cover!
😂😂. Ren can absolutely rap.
Baaaaaaars. Ren has bars.
Talent , Ren is talent.
CANDY BARS
Amazing performance and reaction..🔥🔥
We thought so! Thank you!
This is where you find out the Ren Rabbit Holes has more n more Rabbit holes to go down, The Big Push as a band and the individual members as well as all his collaborations friends 😂 btw nice move with the Mighty Boosh clip
SOOOOO MANY! Thundy is a massive Boosh nerd and he finally gets to use it for cutaways for a crowd who appreciates it!
There cover of War Pigs is just as good 🎉
Guys, this was SO worth the wait! Loved it ❤ xxx
Sooo good! Thank you for being here with us!
Ok first off, an extra like because cat.
Then another like because cat also appeared in thundarius studio - 2 more likes for teleportation.
Another like because of Shades hat. (make it 2)
Then another cat - 5 likes.
All up thats 12 likes for this. great reaction. Well done
😂😂😂 Thank you. We are quite wizardly indeed.
Love the reactions guys! Just be yourselfs shades or not, i simply couldn't care less. Pause as much as you want so you don't miss anything. Love that you go down the Ren rabbit hole! There is soooo much waiting for you!! Ren can do everything. If you want rap look for; the hunger, murderer or losing it. If you want ren singing look for; back on 74/massage in a bottle retake, fred again mash up. If you want more of the theatrical videos watch all the money games. And for more about his illness and background listen to troubles. Again love the reactions and that you keep your reactions close to yourselfs👌
Losing It won the poll so that is Friday's drop this week!
I forget Glenn's (sorry, Glenn!)
Don't forget that The Big Push has great busking videos, but also actual videos and original songs as well as covers.
Thank you for all the lore!!!
Another fun thing about Ren/Gorran/Romain being roommates... their Brighton flat (& surrounding streets) figure in numerous Ren & TBP videos...
Love both kitties, but kittie #2 is a beast! 😍 Welcome to the "more of The Big Push club" There are alot of us who hope and pray that circumstances allow them to get back together one day🙏🤞🙏🤞❤❤❤
Thank you for being so welcoming!
Ren loves music and it shows.
It absolutely does!
This is the perfect mash up with perfect performances. My favourite busking video.
It's great!
I love this performance! One of my favorite busking videos. the big push is fire!!!🔥
ABSOLUTELY!
God your intros always have me laughing 😂 why'd you have to bring old Greg into this 😂 also kitty cam should be a cameo in your videos haha. Also shades I also love sushi 😂 miss the Thundarius's lyric recall haha. Thank you for the reaction. You guys are amazing, thank you for this! ❤ much love guys!
Thank you! Glad we could make you laugh! Thundy is a big Boosh fan and finally gets to put it to use! We always add the kitties when they show up for our videos, they don't always lol. Didn't really need to dig down the lyrics on this one since they are covers! Thank you so much for being here!!!
i think you guys would appreciate REN 1990, real nostalgia vibes Fire
Noted! So much left to cover. It’s going to be fun!
One of my friends used to play a Weber grill and a ride cymbal. He was in the band Violent Fems.
Thats awesome!!! have not heard that name in a while!
Whoa!
Great reaction. Subscribed 💐😻
Awesome! Thank you!
The Big Push are 🔥 Icarus, English man in New York, are two of my faves .. loved your reaction
Thank you!!!
My favourite cover, this week, is their "Englishman in New York". Totally different vibe again!
Very nice!
You realize, at one Ren video per week you have about 3 plus years to complete his existing works. Just saying!😁 When you get to it, you'll love War Pigs.
Job security! 😂 I mean we wish we could cover him more than once a week but even if our other videos only get 100 views we will still continue to cover the music and artists we want to! A few renegades have trickled over into checking out our other stuff. After all, our tastes brought us to Ren so they can't be that bad right?
You've gotta to do war pigs mash up with killing in the name and crazy train amazing
It will happen!
The Hunger. He rap raps
Don’t forget the other band Trick the For. Song ‘Lost Boi’
Noted! Thank you!
Need to see the Ren & The Big Push do their version of “War pigs” .. same location it’s epic
We will!
Massively recommend Power by Ren and his cover of 74/message in a bottle is beautiful! He’s also done some great work with a female singer called Chinchilla who is f*cking 🔥🔥reccomend “Chalk Outlines” and “How to be me” by them too. And if you like Chinchilla off the back of that she has a live version of her song Fingers on RUclips which is insannneeee! And another by her is Little Girl Gone which is a great powerhouse, kick down the door kinda song
We've gotten several requests for her now! We will absolutely cover her in the future!
Dead Prez is so fire. One of my favorite hip hop artists of all times, my respect for Ren went up after hearing this.
Goran (the guy without the shirt on) he sings a wicked Johnny B Goode for the Big Push
NICE
Love you guys and your sense of humor. I found you a few days ago and subbed.
Thanks so much!
Omg i havn't seen old Gregg in so bloody long, i had to pause this video after seeing that small clip of him to watch the orginal video i saw of him years and years ago.
Old Gregg got a man-gina!
awesome reaction guys, love the energy keep up the good work.
Thundy is a big Boosh fan and finally gets to use it for things lol. If you haven't seen our recent video covering Lyric Noel's cover of Cry Little Sister from The Lost Boys, there is another Boosh cutaway!
More The Big Push!❤
We’re just getting started. We hope to cover as much as we possibly can!
Ren Hunger pls 🙌✨
Soon enough!
Would to see you react to the big push "what kind of woman is this" 😊
Noted! Thank you!
