- The show was "Off The Grid" and they raised these stretchy things up above the corp which made a cool 3D effect but one fell over and they ended upl with a mess.

No one got hurt, the staff made a mistake and didn't place a weight on a prop that needed a weight and didn't realize it. We couldn't have fixed it during the show if we tried. We handled the problem well and I think we had a good run. It was a simple mistake.
Johnston Family Lights yeah. When the trumpets are facing backfield behind the fallen one, I’m the 2nd one that gets caught in it for a good second. It was definitely somethin... yikes.
Shit happens... they handles it well.
They handled this so unbelievably well
Battery still killing it
I felt bad for the kids when I saw that happen but jeez the commentary makes me laugh
I marched this show and was on the other side of the field. I had no idea a prop fell.
What was the score
I don't remember.... I just remember we were so worried for the kids - we didn't want them to get hurt....
RIP Tuba Section
Nobody was hurt, actions have been taken to make sure that this never happens again.
Still not as bad as our 2016 props. There wasn't a single day where we didn't break at least one
this happened bc they marched at alamodome
:,(
emp what are you doing here
Yet another reason why props should be minimal at most.
Finally, a show by the Cascades I could finally get into! We were talking about the props getting in the way here in Seattle at the Seattle Summer Music Games. Fortunately, limited problem and a very good show. Look forward to progression by the Cascades in 2020.
Is that nitro by Frank Tichelli? I remember playing that in high our hs show lol (minus the knocked over prop)
My cousin is in the color gaurd lol and i feel bad 😂 my props in my high school marchhing band fell 3 at once lol
This show was awesome
Ah yes
I hope no one got hurt!
Good on the players for avoiding catastrophe. They dodged several bullets here. If corps are going to use elaborate props like this, they need a crisis management plan for times when things go sideways. They can’t just stand there and fret about it. They’re putting members’ safety in jeopardy. Have a plan. It appears nobody did anything.
The director was told before the season started that this would happen if they went forward with these props and they didn't listen, literally put the kids at risk. And during the same season they ran out of food during move-ins and had a volunteer who refused to feed kids! Don't support Cascades, they don't care about the well being or education of their members.
