@@Thescrantondude Yup. I used to say seasons 2-6 was peak TWD, but season 9 might just be my favorite season of them all
Season 9 is pretty fantastic aswell, however it was hurt because it came at a time when the viewership had reached an all time low and people stopped watching anything past season 9 cause of (spoiler, if you know, you know)
I wouldn't go that far
I mean they are but this makes it sound like they are the best of the show. Season 1 is too short, season 2 is too slow and season 3 has some major character writing problems (andrea). Like again I agree with you that they are some of the best I just think they overshadow the true best seasons which are 4-6 and then 9.
These first shows were actually shot on the streets of Atlanta. I know because I saw it in person.
You saw the “geeks” 😩 nah but that’s so cool you got to see the production!
This is not a spoiler because it’s not mentioned in the show but Rick was in the hospital for 59 days 2 months which does explain why the flowers died and why the Zombie Apocalypse already started.
But not how he didn’t die of dehydration. 😂. One saline bag can only go so far. But I am willing to suspend belief since the series is so great.
@@imanindeen I believe the "World Beyond" series covers that!! Basically, a nurse was there taking care of him and some other patients the entire time. It even shows how the "Don't Dead Open Inside" door came to be! You might be able to find it on RUclips

Me too! Only started watching last fall and I binged all the seasons over like two months. Crazy. I was hooked from the beginning.
@@cuethecommentary If you think the first season is good, you're going to be blown away by the rest of the show. Season 1 is great, don't get me wrong, but it's honestly one of my least favorite seasons. It's great to get to know some of the characters, and it does a fantastic job setting the scene of the world we now find ourselves in, but it's kind of what you expect from a zombie show. What makes this show so good to me (among 1 million other things), is the moral dilemmas our characters face, and really makes you think "What would I do in this situation?" The character arcs are amazing, and you'll be amazed by how some of these characters you're getting to know will change over the next several seasons. That's all I'll say bc I don't want to give away anything, but I envy you being able to watch this show for the first time! Can't wait to go on this journey with you.

I love you reaction! I binge watched this series during Covid season 1-9. Then watched 10 and 11 in real time weekly. Best show, actors, character development, special effects/make up and deep talented writing. Surprises at every turn👏🏽
Fun fact the actors that play Rick and Morgan are both British and excellent actors.

One of the best things about The Walking Dead is that it isn’t just a Zombie show It has great storytelling and moral dilemmas that make you think what would I do in certain scenarios Welcome to one of my favourites if not my favourite TV show I think you will love it.
I think your 100% right, I think we have list that in more recent shows! Also, what this show did well very similar to game of thrones was it didn't always decide for you who was good and x who was bad! Few characters were flawless morally, and decisions can come back to haunt them! Not to mention I love how not everyone is strong or a hero particularly right away. Modern population would severely struggle in this scenario!
This is my favorite show ever I’ve watched all the seasons several times plus all of the spin offs. The one thing I will say there is a ton of suspension of disbelief. It’s an amazing series and I hope you enjoy every minute. I will be tuning in ❤

The show was filmed just south of Atlanta georgia. They are using a Southern accent but Rick and Morgan are both British in real life! This show is amazing. You're gonna love it.

Robert Kirkman wrote the comic book this is based on. I believe he was involved in the show production including writing in the earlier seasons. All seasons are shot in Georgia in or near Atlanta.
This was filmed all over Georgia. Particularly around Fayette County and Atlanta
This wasn't on a set. It is actually filmed in Georgia. They shut down some of the streets downtown to do the city scene. I am enjoying your reactions!
Rick actually was in a Coma for 2 Months (which is 52 Days) and he didnt Know ALL OF THIS was happening.
Some Theories speculated that Rick was still in a Coma and that he was dreaming all of this happening in his Head, and that Society hadnt Collapsed and the Zombie apocalypse Never happened.
(these are just Theories their not confirmed if it was Real or Fake)
Guns are very loud especially in real life, firing one in that closed of a space could very much ruin your hearing that’s why he was disoriented in the tank

They're in GA but that actor's normal accent is British. It shocked me when I saw him in an interview. LOL

Robert Kirkman created the comic book waaaaaaaaay back in 2003. It became what you just saw in 2010.
George A. Romero wrote Night of the Living Dead which was filmed in 1968, Followed by Dawn of the Dead (1978) and Day of the Dead (1985), Land of the Dead (2005), Diary of the Dead (2007), and Survival of the Dead (2009).
Romero also wrote the Crazies in 1973 which was remade into a great movie in 2010.
I subscribed before I even clicked play. This show is so amazing. By far my favorite show, and Rick is my favorite character across every TV series I've ever watched. There are so many great characters in this show though, not just Rick. Can't wait to see your reactions, and hear your thoughts/perspectives on things!

Robert Kirkman: creator and writer of the comic book series, and part of the writing team for the show, as well as executive producer.
Frank Darabont: (a name you might recognize, because two of the movies he directed are _The Shawshank Redemption_ and _The Green Mile)_ main writer and showrunner for Season 1.
Other writers for this season were Charles H Eglee _(Dark Angel,_ _The Shield_ and _Dexter),_ Adam Fierro _(24,_ _The Shield,_ and _Dexter),_ and Glen Mazzara _(Nash Bridges_ and _The Shield)._ Jack LoGiudice (Sons of Anarchy) co-wrote episode 3. So yeah, they had a good team for this.

Just in case you didn't know and no one else has mentioned it, TWD was originally a Comic Book series. There are similarities between the TV version and the comics but they're not exactly the same. Once of the differences is that the comic is set in Kentucky while the TV version is set in Atlanta. Enjoy the early days of this phenomenal entertainment! 👏🏾🍿

This is incredibly rude. Why do you feel entitled to make demands? You could comment politely or move on if it’s not for you. If you like to watch braindead ppl stare blankly at their screen for an hour and then say “thanks for watching”, that’s you, doesn’t mean she needs to change her content to suit your specific preferences, plenty of people like commentary style reactions
u looking a lot to the camera, like those OA/exaggerating reactors, i get it that reactors will talk to the audience about the show, but the focus mostly should be the reaction of the show, we came here for the reactors reaction of the show, a genuine reaction. look up reactors like yaboyroshi, the react pack, semblance of sanity or haylo & kiss.
What are you talking about? This is such a weird thing to complain about.. looking into the camera? Your personal preferences aren’t the standard, there’s plenty of good reaction/commentary channels who look into the camera regularly (Billy Binges, Badd Medicine, etc), just because you have a weird issue with eye contact doesn’t mean her reaction is bad. If it’s not for you, move on to the next reaction channel.
