If you had told me 8 years ago that this company would become so big that they'd have hundreds of employees, a movie, a million different shows and podcasts, and multiple conventions dedicated to them, I never would have believed you. It's insane how large Rooster Teeth has become. I consider myself a huge RT fan, but I realized that I don't even watch like 80% of their content. There's just too much content. But I guess that's a good problem to have lol.
11 years ago I watched the first 3 seasons of RvB on youtube and thought "That was cool, I'll probably never watch that again though" Dipped back in 2013 and never left
"I have seen the top of the mountain, and you will worship me as though I were a god!" **Gets killed** "I regret nothing, I lived a life that few men dared to dream" Probably one of the best quotes known to man
I can't believe they sold out to Fullscreen and gained access to triple A quality actors and assets. How dare they rapidly grow my favourite content creators into world class internet celebrities, giving them the incredible opportunity to produce unrivaled content that is mostly free.
Rooster Teeth is the kind of company that puts a lot of effort into shows and podcasts with employees that stick eachother on walls with tape and raise a table for a joke.
or have one of their own unwittingly change his gamertag..... or dump a five gallon bucket of Smarties ground up to a fine dust on someone's computer..... or duct tapes an air horn to someone's chair so every time they sit down, it goes off lol
They've made it to the big leagues! If any of you read this and do not know these guys, they are as they say, a very diverse company that does animation, letsplays, vlogs, podcasts, news, merchandising, and much more. They have practically anything that youtubers nowadays do and it is recommended for people 13 yrs old - senior year of college and beyond. They put love and care into anything that they do because their staff is close-knit and their determination to grow their fanbase and company excels any other I have seen elsewhere. "If you are as lonely as them, have nowhere else to go for fun, or are just plain bored you can surely hire" Rooster Teeth Productions LLC
This is why I love Rooster Teeth, you can feel that what Bernie says is truth but you can also feel the "Why.... please let this end.... this is so uncomfortable." Also, this makes me realize that while I am an RT fan, I mostly only watch Achievement Hunter on a regular basis and Death Battle on ScrewAttack.
Something people need to remember is that the fun content we see in videos (Achievement Hunter, Lets Plays, the podcasts,) are a finished product. We don't see the hard work that goes on behind that stuff. So to us, it can look like a bunch of guys goofing around; especially if we ignore the more serious productions RT does. What we don't see are the video editors, financers, writers, 3D artists, 2D artists, programmers, set designers, safety instructors, event coordinators, all that jazz. RT is a serious company, one that started out tiny and grew massive. If you see a business or a company soar, and you can't for the life of you figure out how they did it with such little work-- chances are, it's one of the ones that have done the most work to get where it is. You just don't see it.
Rooster Teeth is life! I guess it would need min 3h video to show what these guys really do, and how amazing it is. Matt? Geoff? Gus? Joel? AH? LP family? ExtraLife? ....etc
I remember downloading RvB in QT format before RUclips was even a thing. So proud of this company, their growth, and their success. I'd love to work for the company that has been such a huge part of my life for over a decade.
were totally professional... cut to @1:18 and Jeremy has 2 huge bottles of booze on his desk while filming. Sometimes the best content is a small muscular man getting drunk and trying to avoid a barrage of bouncy balls...
Two bottle of booze, and also a couple pouches of Capri Sun. Because they're all actually 5 years old. (Also Michael still has the framed Geoff photo on his desk, its so sweet, and also surprising that it's managed to survive so many moon balls)
So many brands, even when they had humble beginnings, start to develop a more corporate and superficial feel to them and a disconnect between company and audience begins the bigger the company gets. Rooster Teeth is the exception to that, I think. They've only gotten bigger since they're beginnings and never lost their connection, and I think it's because they make their audience feel like they're part of the company.
Agreed 100%. They know that with the Community, there would be no Rooster Teeth. So they listen to their audience, and they have an open forum for communication. They keep their finger on the pulse of their fans, and that's what keeps their company healthy and thriving. Longtime RvB watcher, huge AH, FH, and SP7 fan. Cockbite through and through.
I legit get so happy when I see Rooster Teeth mentioned in videos and articles. I've personally been watching them since 2007 and to see how much they have grown makes me feel like a proud parent watching their kid grow up. Keep on being amazing!
Wow this was incredible. I’ve been watching you guys and been apart of this journey since 2005 and it’s crazy to think that I’ve been here since then and how big you guys have got. I am so proud of all of you and I’m glad you guys really didn’t change too much once full screen acquired you. Here’s to another 15 years 🎉🍻
Been watching RT content since season 5 of RVB and they've truely been a big part of my life ever since! Always glad to see little insights into their goings-on.
There's a significant section of the interview when Burnie's talking about the merger where I can almost see the lasers in Ezra's eyes pre-charged to annihilate him when he says the wrong thing. Great job avoiding vaporization! I at least hope you had Gav and Dan on call with their gear set up to capture the moment if it happened.
I remember when I first found you guys when I wanted to watch people play minecraft on Xbox in 2012 and I remember I spent an entire summer just lying on my bedroom floor with my laptop and I would watch your minecraft, gta 4, and red VS blue videos all day everyday and I also remember you guys being in that kind of small building before this place you guys have now and I will always remember those times watching the old videos and those videos I still like to go back and watch
I still remember the first time I watched red v blue season 1 like, 10 years ago or something. And remember waiting for what I thought was the series finale at episode 100. Love their work and watch their podcasts every week.
I’ve been a fan since I was in like the 5th grade. Now I’m a senior in college and man has the company changed. I’ve lost touch because of time but man I wish I could just spend a year catching up on content
Rooster Teeth on Forbes... wow guys! I am so happy for you! Thank you for the stories and full blown laughter (that were at a time a salvation and lifeline), in the past 10 years I've known you. CONGRATULATIONS!
The boys of AH are my favourites and will always be my favourites. It’s amazing to see how far rooster teeth has come in the past few years. I remember some of the earlier years and they’ve grown and progressed so much. To top it off they’re an amazing group of people. :)
This looked waaaaaaay too polished. As though the teacher told her students, “you guys, the principal is coming in on Tuesday to sit in on our class. I need you all to be on your best behavior. Please!!!”
I found these guys in 2010, it was the episode where Tex beats everyone into the ground and i loved it. Then i stumbled across achievement hunter about a year later when they made the Assassin's Creed lets plays in brotherhood and revelations and ive been hooked since.
I love how roosterteeth has evolved into such an expansive entertainment company from the confines of a small bedroom...and achievement hunter has pretty much been the same 6 guys yelling at eachother over playing video games - and that is why I love them.
I'm so thankful for these guys and what they have accomplished. I've been with them since the very beginning and I feel like a proud mommy watching her boys grow up. Happy 15th Anniversary, Cock Bites!
This is honestly the most compelling argument for them getting acquired by Fullscreen that they've ever done. I actually mostly support that decision after what Burnie's said, despite the fact that I thought it was a bad idea at first.
@RoosterTeeth I'm so proud to see how far Rooster teeth has come, I first learned about you since RvB, and started following videos since the RWBY red trailer came out. I hope to see this company grow bigger and better, and can't wait to see what you guys come up with next! :)
Excellent and diverse company that expand 10 fold built with sweat and tears. You guys sacarficed a lot to get to where you guys are today. Awesome job and thank you Forbes for doing a video on one of my favorite companies.
Just the fact that RT made FORBES!!!!! That blows my mind by itself. I grew up with these guys since their beginning days. Its like watching your immature little brat, turn into a bigger immature brat, but going to college and being successful.
Holy moly, has it really been that long? I remember visiting 636 but not being able to meet many people because they were working on the first season of RWBY in the back. Looking back on it now I wish I had just run in a hugged Monty right then and there!
That's what I was thinking. Like, I know they acquired more buildings around then, that's around when the realized having AH in a room without a roof right next to the podcasts may not be the best idea.
Rauhaan Inamdar um it’s been 10 years. You know how many articles Forbes post. I like rooster teeth but they are not and never will be mainstream. When it comes down to it they’re adult babies.
Go to 1:19 and pause. There’s a bunch of stuff shoved under desks, and especially on the side they didn’t film on. It’s 100% all just been shoved into a corner. 😂😂
Soooo THIS is why they cleaned the office 😜
Kaleigh Newby your so right lol makes sense
lol so true
Lol
This is the best comment.
sarajade86 you're*
If you had told me 8 years ago that this company would become so big that they'd have hundreds of employees, a movie, a million different shows and podcasts, and multiple conventions dedicated to them, I never would have believed you. It's insane how large Rooster Teeth has become. I consider myself a huge RT fan, but I realized that I don't even watch like 80% of their content. There's just too much content. But I guess that's a good problem to have lol.
Long live the Golden Gus!!
*2 movies ;P
I'd have believed it.
11 years ago I watched the first 3 seasons of RvB on youtube and thought "That was cool, I'll probably never watch that again though"
Dipped back in 2013 and never left
This is what happens when you sell the compamy
"Hey, You ever wonder why we're here?"
It all started with that one question.
"No. I never, ever, wonder why we're here. Semper Fi, bitch."
perfect amount of likes tbh
nope, this was in my recommended
You mean in this canyon?
If you watch this without knowing what this company is you’ll think they’re
“Professional”😂
Derpy_Gamer BOOM wow so much truth 😂
Well, they always call themselves "trained professional" in their stunt videos like Immersion 😂
That's because they kept the view of the Achievement Hunter crew to a minimum
TheChapelx yeah too many moon balls
Then they go to just one AHWU, and in the first 5 or 10 seconds it's immediately a complete 180 of what they just said lol
Did anybody else click because of Geoff in the thumbnail?
no geoff sucks
Oh yes daddy
Nick Slayter If i said no I'd me lying
I admit it
Yes! I feel ripped off.
Of all the clips they could have shown, they chose a scene with Sister. Perfect.
maverickmak91 and of course it’s one of her ‘wait, what?’ moments. lol
They said girls can't ejaculate, but guess what!
That was one of the first Red vs Blue lines anyone ever quoted to me.
"I have seen the top of the mountain, and you will worship me as though I were a god!"
**Gets killed**
"I regret nothing, I lived a life that few men dared to dream"
Probably one of the best quotes known to man
I'm honestly surprised that they didn't go with the first scene of the show.
The Achievement Hunter Office looks so clean! :O
Anna Bo Wonder if that's specifically why they cleaned up or if it was just a coincidence.
Tasanoki Ranoko They cleaned it up for sure. Guarantee you it was a pigs pen after they left
With the way Burnie danced the line about Rooster Teeth and the acquisition, AH must have been under Microscope when this video was made.
I can hear Michael's tears of joy already
If you see their usual aheu videos and before games videos the room is a mesd
I'm happy my Geoff quote sign was used a b-roll :)
Trickstress good shit
Trickstress 👏👏👏
I paused the video just to read it. So funny!
Trickstress 👏👏👏👏👏
Wooooah that was yours? That's awesome 😍
Now Achievement Hunter's clean office suddenly makes sense.
I can't believe they sold out to Fullscreen and gained access to triple A quality actors and assets. How dare they rapidly grow my favourite content creators into world class internet celebrities, giving them the incredible opportunity to produce unrivaled content that is mostly free.
I know, right?
Yeah they should have just stuck with producing rvb from their bedroom
You and I have a very different idea of what "unrivaled" means.
Despicable.
Read this in Michael’s voice.
In other words,
Roosterteeth doesn’t need youtube.
Beast Fatboy they just choose to
They really haven't for a long time. I'm glad they stick around for the fans though.
Yes they do
They've existed before RUclips, and they'll probably still be around after RUclips no longer exists.
Roosterteeth definitely needs RUclips to grow its fanbase.
I get the feeling they cleaned just for this video haha
LOOK AT ACHIEVEMENT HUNTER
1:11
I DIDN'T KNOW THEY HAD A FLOOR
Rooster Teeth is the kind of company that puts a lot of effort into shows and podcasts with employees that stick eachother on walls with tape and raise a table for a joke.
punch3870 I like how these both reference Jeremy
or have one of their own unwittingly change his gamertag..... or dump a five gallon bucket of Smarties ground up to a fine dust on someone's computer..... or duct tapes an air horn to someone's chair so every time they sit down, it goes off lol
Zip tie their willing boss to a wall, that is also covered in weaponry.
Just don't forget that someone got a raised... But not the one they expect.
Renashi 012 they literally said that
I've been watching Rooster Teeth productions / Achievement Hunter Lets plays for 8 years. You don't need TV, these guys are quality.
pffft only 8 years
so THIS, is why they cleaned the AH office. i cant remember the last time i could see that much floor in there.
shawn zylla I didn't even know they had carpet flooring and I've watch them for at least 4 years
They've made it to the big leagues! If any of you read this and do not know these guys, they are as they say, a very diverse company that does animation, letsplays, vlogs, podcasts, news, merchandising, and much more. "If you are as lonely as them, have nowhere else to go for fun, or are just plain bored you can surely hire" Rooster Teeth Productions LLC
Is that the battle buddies intro at the end?
Battle Buddies!
I think it's kinda funny that you use that as an example, because I've been watching RT from when I was 13 to my senior year in college (so far)
I came because RvB. I stayed because of achievement hunter

Right after they finish shooting this, Moon balls start flying everywhere.
I didn't know the part of them acquiring the old Austin Airport... that was really cool
They didn't acquire it. The Austin film society bought it and turned it into Austin studios. RT just rents three of the soundstages (and a bungalow).
Rooster Teeth is life! I guess it would need min 3h video to show what these guys really do, and how amazing it is.
Matt? Geoff? Gus? Joel? AH? LP family? ExtraLife? ....etc
They just released a documentary about their 15 years. It's for first members on their site
good to know! yay! excited for that.
Will it ever be put on RUclips?
RT Docs don't typically get put on YT, it's a benefit of being a FIRST member for the most part.
I laughed a little, that was the cleanest the AH room has been in like. Forever.
I'm a simple man i see Geoff I click lol
I remember downloading RvB in QT format before RUclips was even a thing. So proud of this company, their growth, and their success. I'd love to work for the company that has been such a huge part of my life for over a decade.
Love RoosterTeeth. They truly did pioneer this space.
I love Rooster Teeth!!!
were totally professional... cut to @1:18 and Jeremy has 2 huge bottles of booze on his desk while filming. Sometimes the best content is a small muscular man getting drunk and trying to avoid a barrage of bouncy balls...
Shane Hanson don't forget the two boxes of Cheez-its tucked away on the floor next to Lovely Ryan
CLASSIC
Two bottle of booze, and also a couple pouches of Capri Sun. Because they're all actually 5 years old.
(Also Michael still has the framed Geoff photo on his desk, its so sweet, and also surprising that it's managed to survive so many moon balls)
This is like watching a family member make it on Forbes, I’ve been watching and supporting since the beginning. This is so tight!
0:42. Ezra looks like a shaved Ryan Reynolds.
Indiscrimi holy shit he does and I can't unsee it. You can really see it at 4:19
or a joel
Indiscrimi was just gonna comment that he has Ryan Reynolds eyes
deadpool
More like a shaved Seth Macfarlane

Longtime RvB watcher, huge AH, FH, and SP7 fan. Cockbite through and through.
This is probably the cleanest the buildings ever been
I am so proud of how far Rooster teeth has gotten. I've been following them since 2007. What a long way they've come
Most open, well knitted, family of a company I have ever seen. Everyone is so bonded together what a great company Roosterteeth is
I legit get so happy when I see Rooster Teeth mentioned in videos and articles. I've personally been watching them since 2007 and to see how much they have grown makes me feel like a proud parent watching their kid grow up. Keep on being amazing!
Rooster Teeth is a national treasure.
Blacksmith for Rooster Teeth. Bet that is the coolest job ever.
It has always blown my mind what these guys have accomplished. I have been a fan for a long while and can’t wait to see what’s next.
They are one of the companies I'm DREAMING to work for.
Its so weird to feel proud for people youve never even met, but Ive been watching RT since 2007 and its been one hell of a ride.
And to think all this started with 5 guys making machinima in a garage...
Rip rooster teeth 😔

How have more people not seen this!

Joel lost his hair early :o
This looked waaaaaaay too polished. As though the teacher told her students, “you guys, the principal is coming in on Tuesday to sit in on our class. I need you all to be on your best behavior. Please!!!”
I found these guys in 2010, it was the episode where Tex beats everyone into the ground and i loved it. Then i stumbled across achievement hunter about a year later when they made the Assassin's Creed lets plays in brotherhood and revelations and ive been hooked since.
It's crazy when you put into perspective just how much content Rooster Teeth and all its divisions create on a daily basis.
"HEY EVERYBODY ITS GEOFF FROM ACHIEVEMENT HUNTER"
Cant believe ive watched RT for 10yrs and theyre this huge now
I'm a simple man. I see Geoff Ramsay in the thumbnail, I click.
RT has made my life better every day since 04! Thank you!
It’s good to see a company still made up of people who, collectively, have a genuine passion for their products.
I've wanted to see more of the art department for a while, and I'm over the moon to find out they have a forge and power hammer! 😍😍😍
I love how roosterteeth has evolved into such an expansive entertainment company from the confines of a small bedroom...and achievement hunter has pretty much been the same 6 guys yelling at eachother over playing video games - and that is why I love them.
8 years ago I became a fan . They kept making videos I kept watching still do much less now kids and work but still follow them
I want another recap, like one of those documentary-style RUclipsrs to cover Rooster Teeth now, because I'm pretty sure they kind of suck currently.
Is that Ezra guy the one who ran RT into the ground? Burnie doesn't look happy sitting with him like he is with everyone else at RT
Nice one Forbes, been watching AH for years!
Brings me back to Cow Chop’s first video. They got interviewed first. What success!
You've made it boys! Been watching for nearly 6 years now, so cool to see this video.
Been a fan of rooster teeth for over a decade!!!
I’m so damn proud of them..
Love Rooster Teeth, nuff said.
Gen Lock spoiled here
@RoosterTeeth I'm so proud to see how far Rooster teeth has come, I first learned about you since RvB, and started following videos since the RWBY red trailer came out. I hope to see this company grow bigger and better, and can't wait to see what you guys come up with next! :)
I remember back in 2012 when they were so much smaller now it's so amazing how much they have grown
Excellent and diverse company that expand 10 fold built with sweat and tears. You guys sacarficed a lot to get to where you guys are today. Awesome job and thank you Forbes for doing a video on one of my favorite companies.
Sister never fails to entertain.
Just the fact that RT made FORBES!!!!! That blows my mind by itself. I grew up with these guys since their beginning days. Its like watching your immature little brat, turn into a bigger immature brat, but going to college and being successful.
0:49 Unreleased SP7 shirt design? I really like it, I hope it's not just a sample piece and they actually release it on the RT store.
Aaahhhh oh how they’ve grown.
I been watching these guys from they first Red vs blue episodes
YESS ROOSTERTEETH!!
Wow this is surreal my favorite channel and business is on forbes
Click bait, Geoff didn’t speak once. Disliked and reported.
I love hearing the origin stories from each one of the RT founding fathers
they're all so different lol
Burnie said they had been there since may 2015 but they’ve been there since may 2014
Holy moly, has it really been that long? I remember visiting 636 but not being able to meet many people because they were working on the first season of RWBY in the back. Looking back on it now I wish I had just run in a hugged Monty right then and there!
That's what I was thinking. Like, I know they acquired more buildings around then, that's around when the realized having AH in a room without a roof right next to the podcasts may not be the best idea.
Ayyyy never thought they’d be so recognizable!!!
They basically built what we call the internet now
I still like the story how Gus didn’t even get mentioned last time a major publication visited RT
WHAAAAAAATTTT!!! :O FORBES WE HAVE MADE IT!!!
Rauhaan Inamdar um it’s been 10 years. You know how many articles Forbes post. I like rooster teeth but they are not and never will be mainstream. When it comes down to it they’re adult babies.
This was my dream job, not anymore unfortunately
Anyone else been around since day dot? Feels like yesterday, man 15 years went quick.
Congrats guys on all your success! Here's to another 15 years of great content :'D
Love you all! Especially Funhaus.
1:16 I just imagine MOONBALL!!!!!
No way the Achievement Hunter office is that clean right now. They threw everything into the hallway and moved it all back in when filming was done.
Go to 1:19 and pause. There’s a bunch of stuff shoved under desks, and especially on the side they didn’t film on. It’s 100% all just been shoved into a corner. 😂😂
lovable Burnie and feared Ezra lol
Great highlight on an amazing company!
every company i worked for ALSO had a blacksmith and a mocap studio.
