The best 4-3 teams that we’ve seen, had that ability to drop a DE into the HS boundary on passing downs.
They became more versatile to the boundary with the traditional “5 tech”
Nice
Another beauty Coach Mac! Thanks for sharing!
Thank You
Coach,
A video on stopping the 2 tight & wing formation with a 4-2-5, or 3-3-5 would be awesome.
I can try
Here's a playlist of how we work to defend it primarily from a 3-4 structure.

We employed similar concepts when we played a 3-5-3 structure.
Double Tight Double Wing?
Double tight and wing I
Great stuff coach! I coach a 4-3 structure and have done some of the very things you discussed.
I cut my teeth on Pat Narduzzi's structure it's great stuff. However, I don't like pushing both OLB's out to 50/60 techniques vs 10 personnel. I have high school kids playing both ways and I like to keep it a simple 1 gap responsibility without having to teach them to fall back in from outside the OT. I'm not good at teaching it is what it boils down to. So it ends up looking like a 4-2.
Regardless, I have solved a lot of problems watching your quarters & 2 Read/Palms stuff over the years. Find myself reviewing my notes from those videos all the time (like last night).
Wish I could have been a fly on the wall in that zoom call though...
It was good
What's your thoughts on press quarters coach? I'm going to talk to some college level folks about it, but college football isn't high school football.
Thanks for all you do Coach!
@@silz53m It’s good stuff, but if the safety has anything to do with #2 Out i can’t call it Quarters!!!! Just my brain
Coach doing Gods work
