I used to refurbish 3DS systems, and one of my favorites was taking a North American board from a destroyed system and dropping it into an exclusive color for the LL. Region change with no effort before putting in CFW.
I picked up a pretty mint New 3DS XL in August for $200 and have loved tinkering with homebrew and playing DS and 3DS games I missed back in the day. You're gonna be super happy with your purchases!
Dude, I bought mine during the pandemic in 2020 and I don't regret it at all. As for handhelds, nothing really beats playing those on original hardware. Once you mod it you will be very happy.
I modded them already as I was pretty excited to get playing on them and I'm very happy so far. Worth every penny. Emulation for DS and 3DS stuff just doesn't feel the same as playing on native hardware. Great to hear you're enjoying your purchase as well!
@@KeiRetroGamingyou should get a DS next if you don't have one already. The 3DS adds blur to DS games and doesn't have that crisp look. Plus they are dirt cheap right now.
got a new3DSLL from japan for similar prices , but first things i did was region changing it, and them doing a SOAP transfer to be able to recover eshop/pokmon Bank/old3DS nnid acces on that new one ( you cant accep any nnid related feature on a region changed consoleexept in rare cases ) so now it's even better device
You might be able to revive it with a good clean on the inside if it only got wet. Of course the screens might need changing as well but those are relatively cheap from what I'm seeing.

I haven't seen any local 3ds sales around that price here in Canada. Might be different in other parts of Canada though. The cheapest I've seen locally is about 120 ish... Still crazy expensive compared to what we've seen before the pandemic.
