In terms of cases the Hylian Adventures Pouch case works great for me. I have the same grip and top shell as you do in the video, the case fits my NN3DSXL snugly. There's no extra room for a charger, but I usually will put the 3ds case in a backpack anyways so I can store the charger elsewhere. Also the two extra long stylises it comes with are amazing, especially for the DS Zelda games.
Also note on the batteries. Just buy 1, unlike our modern batteries these will lose their charge as the years go on so no sense in hoarding like 3+ of them when in reality 1 would be more than enough!

Screen protectors just because. Clear hard shell, just using the top half, like you did. Now I'm looking at getting a bluetooth transmitter for the headphone jack. The 2DS XL speakers aren't very good. Thankfully the grip prevents my palms from blocking the sound, but still, my sony WHH900s would be much preferred
The extra battery tip really catches my attention. I would never have thought of buying an extra battery, considering that the batteries in my GameBoys are still doing fine. Although I am more interested in keeping my DS's alive as opposed to my GameBoys. Both the 3DS and the NEW 3DS models have different batteries so I'll have to pick one up for both since I have both. For those watching now I wouldn't recommend the grip at 2:00 When I first ordered it it arrived broken, so I returned it and was given a fixed one. The new one was also fragile since one of the back pieces that holds the DS came off after a month. As for comfort, I'd say it's fine, but I prefer the one made for the 2DS XL.

The extra battery thing is definitely worth it! I recently just got an extra battery, and it was great timing, as I popped the back cover off and found the original battery had started to expand! Spicy pillow in the making, lol. They're unfortunately going to be come harder and harder to find in the coming years, so definitely try to get an extra or two of backups.

What is the largest size micro SD card the New Nintendo 3DS can utilize? I also recommend getting a lanyard for your 3DS. It prevents those slipped, knocked out of your hands moments.
Infinity as long as it's FAT32 formatted, but it has issues scaling. The bigger the card, the harder the 3DS has to work to load data off of it. Very good recommendations, I already ordered the first two on ebay, I already have the crystalline plastic protector but I didn't like it because when playing long games it leaves a plastic smell in the hands, apart from that it takes a bit of a struggle to remove it, more than anything in the area of the screen.
Nice recommendations! I've never tried a grip for my handheld but with my big hands it might be something to consider! I wonder if they do one for 2DS XL? Yes a carrying case is a must if you bring that system on the go! Mine is similar to the black and blue 1st one you showed and yes it would be nice if it had space for the charger! Great video and keep up the good work!
I've got a 256 GB from a huge sale and yeah I never have to think about it ever again. I could install every game worth considering with space left over.
Do you know a way to remove a stripped screw without damaging the 3DS? I tried to replace the battery, but a stubborn screw prevented me from opening it up
I think the logevity of the parts market is going to be alot longer then you think. the Gameboy advance sp is 20 plus years old and parts are still readily available and low cost to buy. getting a battery for example today, by the time you need it, it will have degraded and could even be worse then the one you have now.
Dang I'm sorry it isn't available. I know amazon does have some but unfortunately I don't have any verified links to send you. I'll keep an eye out and come back to this comment if I can find anything.
Thanks man. Great video. I have one question. Maybe I'm being paranoid or maybe I'm not. I bought a 64 GB SD card and I'm totally good on space. However, what happens if that SD card decides to crap out on me one day? Do you think that could happen? What can I do to preserve my 3ds legacy?
There have been issues where SD cards can die out. It wouldn't be the worst idea to make a copy of your saves and SD card to external storage or even another card as a fail safe. Great point I hadn't considered mentioning.
@@HallowedBeThyGame I'm just trying to play it safe. This system is a gem and I want to always have access to it. Thanks. I may just play it safe and buy another SD card AND my external HD. Yolo.
All storage has a life expectancy. Just create a backup of the data every so often. If you install homebrew, applications like Checkpoint and JKSM will even let you create multiple manual save backups easily
I just purchased the outer shell and the grip. So I assume that you can't combine the backside of the outer shell with the grip??? Basically, I can only use the top side of the shell with the grip, is that correct? If so, does the grip scratch the 3ds? It does not have the soft material that the shell has. Thx. 😁
Thanks so much! I don't like to take the grip off so I just use the case at 5:26 as of late. Not perfect but has been nice for the charger/games. Have a good one!
See im not worried about future batteries a console that is love so much will always have a supply official or otherwise, look at the gba sp you can buy batteries nearly 22 years later. The Internet will keep your aging consoles alive well into the future.
Quick Question is there actual Size Differences between the New 3DS XL vs The Other One Due To There is an Accessory Call Circle Pad Pro And Was Wondering If it fits the newest 3Ds and does it work with all games? Please And Thank You.
No the circle pad pro only fits the og 3ds xl, but you could do a psp 1000 joystick cap mod to replace the c-stick. I did it to mine and it was completely worth it
This is just me, but an accessory I recommend would be a headphone amplifier. They are affordable. The reason being is the audio on the 3ds is pretty weak, and when you plug in headphones, many games dont really give you that "umph". If you get a headphone amplifier, it really takes it to the next level, a good example would be SMT4 apoc where the music is so banging you'd regret not having a headphone amp.
It's not just you. Before I bought a set of Avantree HT4189 wireless bluetooth amplified headphones, I could barely hear the in-game dialog and the loudest sound level was extremely low. With the Avantree HT4189 headphones, the sound is loud and crystal clear.
Bruh don’t fret about parts! Look at the GBA. Aftermarket is NUTS. Ds is next, you know our classic 3ds will get it as well if some company makes a battery that works, then it’s not a bad product after all! This is more reason for Nintendo to STOP UPDATING TO COMBAT CFW. Serious I still see updates.
Hi there! I just got the same grip case for my N3DSXL; wanted to ask, is it that hard to get it off the console once you put it on? Like, I like using it for when I am at home but I'd like to use the normal case for when I'm out so I can carry my 3DS on my pocket alongside my phone, and when taking it off it just feels way harder than when putting it on, almost like I'll break off the little tab that holds the console in place Once, that little tab even stuck under the 3ds shell and it almost came off, would be so hurtful to have it damaged since it's the SNES design Idk if I'm doing it wrong, any tips? thanks!

Very good recommendations, I already ordered the first two on ebay, I already have the crystalline plastic protector but I didn't like it because when playing long games it leaves a plastic smell in the hands, apart from that it takes a bit of a struggle to remove it, more than anything in the area of the screen.
I bought that same 3ds shell in blue and when I tried to put it on it ended up with a deep scratch on the top screen 3/10
I just had someone link me a 2DS XL grip so they are there. I'll update the description with a link to that grip. Thanks so much for watching!
I got a 1 TB SD card and it's definitely worth it
Since you use a bag for your 3ds would a regular bag be safe enough for it because I can’t find any of those bags for cheap
Oh for sure that'd work! Tons of alternate options
Ok thanks for the tip!
You can get more than 64 gb of storage on the 3ds but honestly it's a bit much but worth considering
I've got a 256 GB from a huge sale and yeah I never have to think about it ever again. I could install every game worth considering with space left over.
When I run a 128GB SD card and take the hit on initial loading times 😂😅
I wanna buy that grip but I have a new 3ds standard not the xl
Do you know a way to remove a stripped screw without damaging the 3DS? I tried to replace the battery, but a stubborn screw prevented me from opening it up
I think the logevity of the parts market is going to be alot longer then you think. the Gameboy advance sp is 20 plus years old and parts are still readily available and low cost to buy. getting a battery for example today, by the time you need it, it will have degraded and could even be worse then the one you have now.
i wish i could purchase the battery from nintendo but they don’t ship to puerto rico 🤦🏻♀️do you recommend another place to get them?
Dang I'm sorry it isn't available. I know amazon does have some but unfortunately I don't have any verified links to send you. I'll keep an eye out and come back to this comment if I can find anything.
I just use the wrist strap instead of a case I’ve never dropped it
Thx. 😁
That's correct, top portion of shell combined with grip. I've had no scratching issues with my grip and 3ds. Hope you enjoy!
@@HallowedBeThyGame sweet deal! Thank you for that confirmation and the recommendation! Take it easy! ✌️
No problem and you as well!
7:10 MY BATTERY BARELY HOLDS A CHARGE I HAVE TO PLAY WITH THE CHARGER ON Xd ... Damn caps
Hey bud, great video.
What travel case do you use with the grip u have.
Thanks so much! I don't like to take the grip off so I just use the case at 5:26 as of late. Not perfect but has been nice for the charger/games. Have a good one!
what is the music? do you have a link? Its sooo catchy
xD
Anything for the New 3DS (not XL) only?
Damn, bought an outer shell from TNP and it doesn't even fit sadge
See im not worried about future batteries a console that is love so much will always have a supply official or otherwise, look at the gba sp you can buy batteries nearly 22 years later. The Internet will keep your aging consoles alive well into the future.
Which game is it at 7:45??
Fantasy Life
Does the blue 3DS branded case hold a New XL?
How would you store the battery correctly
Quick Question is there actual Size Differences between the New 3DS XL vs The Other One Due To There is an Accessory Call Circle Pad Pro And Was Wondering If it fits the newest 3Ds and does it work with all games? Please And Thank You.
No the circle pad pro only fits the og 3ds xl, but you could do a psp 1000 joystick cap mod to replace the c-stick. I did it to mine and it was completely worth it
how long the battery last in the 3ds?
what game trailer is being showed at 7:28?
Bravely Default
@@HallowedBeThyGame thanks man! great video btw!
Is good for big hands?
If u have digital games it doesn't matter for the grip
what is the game at 7:44 called?
@@mitchellazevedo6637 Hell yea
What's the game playing in 6:15?
Ever Oasis
@@HallowedBeThyGame ty ty ^^
What games are featured in the video?
Specifically at 6:26 And 7:56
My 3ds is 89% red and 12% black
The batteries are sold out 😭
Is youre 3ds modded
Bruh don’t fret about parts! Look at the GBA. Aftermarket is NUTS. Ds is next, you know our classic 3ds will get it as well if some company makes a battery that works, then it’s not a bad product after all! This is more reason for Nintendo to STOP UPDATING TO COMBAT CFW.
Serious I still see updates.
Hi there! I just got the same grip case for my N3DSXL; wanted to ask, is it that hard to get it off the console once you put it on?
Like, I like using it for when I am at home but I'd like to use the normal case for when I'm out so I can carry my 3DS on my pocket alongside my phone, and when taking it off it just feels way harder than when putting it on, almost like I'll break off the little tab that holds the console in place
Once, that little tab even stuck under the 3ds shell and it almost came off, would be so hurtful to have it damaged since it's the SNES design
Idk if I'm doing it wrong, any tips? thanks!
1. Absolute trash shell and I’ve had the same one and it was all bent when it arrived in the mail
2. Still waiting for mine
3. Carrying case yeah
4. No shit sd cards
5. Battery yeah, they’re cheap on Amazon right now and this is an actual good suggestion
6. Useless screen protector, don’t need it
chill bruh
Game slot? LOL Who even uses that? 🤣
who cares about the gameslot anymore? lol
only thing that sucked about this video was this dude saying he has "OCD" and gets bugged when there's a scrath. that's not OCD, you just want stuff to look neat...
What happen fi i put a circle pad pro to a new 3 ds witch have the c stik
Skip to 00:45. Dude takes 45 seconds on an intro
🤣
What was the 3Ds game at the end of the video
Langrisser Reincarnation Tensei
@@HallowedBeThyGame thankyou!
I upgraded my main 3DS to a 128GB microSD card, and it's been so worth it.
It was super easy to do, too.
Even though a 128gb sd card isnt exactly needed, its certainly worth it if you want to fill up your console with totally legit and legal games 😉
