The Cranberries hold a special place in Irish hearts. Dolores was an incredible talent and an utterly uniquely beautiful singer/ songwriter. Her fellow bandmates Noel Hogan, Niall Hogan and Fergal Lawler's supporting instrumentals perfectly evoked the emotions that Dolores brought through her voice. Sadly I'm too young to remember them in their prime but thankfully my parents introduced me to The Cranberries and I fell in love with their music. Dolores's legacy will live forever in the incredible volume of exceptional songs she and her bandmates gave us. Your reaction was so genuine and thoughtful. Thank you. Subscribed. My girlfriend and I laughed our heads off the other night telling stories about him. While I still have not been to Ireland, it certainly shapes my thoughts about it and it's people.

I can because a lot of people get judged for how they feel or what they went through or even worse some never feel comfortable enough or trust anyone enough to share. So I think putting her feelings in music was brilliant and had to be some form of therapeutic.

"Cause we were raised to see life as fun and take it if we can." She is talking about the loss of innocence of being an adult. This song was written about being homesick for Ireland while on tour in America and the UK. She’s not complaining about her youth. She longing for the days of the past to come back and was sad for her present and future away from home, at the time.
