I think a potential problem with his lack of exposure to the greater community is just his channel name. If I search "Installation 00" I get stuff related to the Ark. Which is yeah, no shit, but... I search "Xperia" and get HiddenXperia's stuff, I search HaloFollower and get him... I dunno, those two names seem pretty memorable and probably easier for the analytics to hit than Installation00.
Yeah I remember when he had like 2000 or so. Its exciting to watch the channels you love grow.

Just look at the US military branches Air force Army Navy and Marines. The UNSC is all of that melted together. It doesn't really need to be broken down because it just evolved out of the modern day military.
Just a note that material tensile strength, hardness, and breakability are all totally different things entirely. For example, graphene has a hardness and higher than diamonds and tensile strength around 1000 times stronger than steel, but because of it's crystalline structure it's also brittle and can be shattered. It's also why people tend to thing diamonds are the strongest material to take a hit, but while their hardness is basically unmatched, it's still brittle and because of it being crystal can be shattered if any damage is taken, and damage on the seams are extra effective.
Also note that some materials like metallic hydrogen are not something you can manufacture for casual use like steel. metallic hydrogen needs to be kept at that high pressure area it was created in or it will just turn back to gas as it's just a phase change and not an actual separate material. However you could in theory melt steel in a dense chamber to keep it dense when it cools, though obviously you can't do the same with gases or liquids and it needs to be a material which wouldn't convert to liquid or gas once the pressure is removed. Remember that melting points go up as the pressure is increased so bringing the pressure back down can result in passing back over that melting point again.

I do have to wonder something given the Ring's ability to sustain entire eco-systems to the point of having multiple environments. In theory if given enough time, even when considering how all the environments are artificially made, is it possible for new species to be created and evolved onto the Ring? Whether it be wild life adapting to the conditions of the Ring to even the formation of intelligent life whom grow and develop on these constructs? Or would it be impossible due to how artificial the Rings are, especially with the constant monitoring of the Monitor and Sentinels?
It maybe a weird question to ask given how the rings had partial purpose to preserve life on them but at the same time, given how old they are, it can be imagined that they've had some time for new life to appear on their surfaces (not exactly sentient life but emerging species to new variants of existing species).
Probably but the sentinels and monitors would zap it lol it's take millions of years for that kind of evolution though
I believe so because I believe the forerunners took samples of dna (i could be wrong) and saved it for when they first blew everything up when the flood was taking over so life could end up starting again.

That outro compilation of halo scenes really brought home the feel of this universe. I get distracted by the Master Chief because he is our primary medium to interact with this universe, but ultimately the mystery and majesty of Halo comes from the Forerunners. This unimaginably powerful empire that we can only find the remnants of creates the conflicts we navigate in the games just for having existed. Why and how they did what they did are questions that keep me coming back to this particular sci-fi universe when there are so many others competing for our attention. Clearly, 00 is just as or more fascinated by these questions as any of us. Thanks for bringing it to life even more

As someone who grew up with Halo as a game (raised by a parent who loved Asimov and Star Trek, and I loved astronomy), I absorbed this lore hungrily. You have collated and disseminated well over thirty years (yes, thirty years) of story lore and data in this single video. I've loved all of your vids, but this one is a masterpiece. It's the kind of thing I would've absorbed as a child and used to play LEGOs on a NatGeo Moon map under my kitchen table. No wonder why I loved this game series, and now your channel.

I remember how so many crazy amazing people at High Impact Halo went places that I knew weren't possible, touching them for the first times since the game was made. I remember the new awe I felt at Requiem's first level, vibing that Halo jive for the first time in ever.

I like to think that the Covies were way too many and way too strong for the ring's systems to destroy and Spark just decided not to engage to avoid them damaging the ring.

49:49 This answered a question that I’ve had for a while. The killing of all conscious life on earth would’ve left a massive scar on the fossil record both at the extinction and afterwards. The disintegration of the body’s solves the first problem but even the re-seeding wasn’t able hide the drop in planet wide animal population. I appreciate the lore acknowledging the massive evidence that would’ve been left behind that just isn’t there in reality.
Though I still have some questions. Human life appears to have evolved on earth. Was that done by the Precursors or the Forerunners. It’s especially odd since humans were alive before and after the Halo firing.
I get that there’s some suspension of disbelief but I do wonder if there’s an in universe answer.

I always wondered, especially with confusion reading the forerunner trilogy, is the life on a halo ring automatically insulated from the rings firing? This must be the case to some degree but it seemed in the book no special stasis was required, they only felt a burning sensation. If that’s the case how then was the palace of pain an effective test bed if the ring offers natural protection from itself, however ironic that may be.
Edit, I see you touched on this with the directional nature but I don’t remember that being explained in lore. It seems an important detail. I could see directional firing having an efficiency advantage but only if aligned to the galactic plane, another detail not described in lore as far as I know.

Amazing narration! The level of information you provided provides a level of immersion in the lore that proves just how awesome the Halo universe has over most other IPs. Great job friend.
The first 2 sentences got me hoked till the end. Thank you for being there eventhou im a bit late to this art of narration.
I honestly want one of the rings to activate in Halo Infinite. We’ve spent so much time stopping them that the stakes are losing value when we’re sent after another to stop it again, and win as usual again. What about when we don’t? What if we fail? What if it HAS to be done? I think even just one right activating to wipe even just the local area would be an incredible step forward in pushing the threat they pose to everyone.
But the only ones who can activate the Halos are reclaimers which currently are humans only. I don't think there's a bad enough actor able to climb high enough in the ONI ranks to uncover the rings positions and then gather a large enough force full of fellow bad actors on a scale capable of taking on the rest of humanity, let alone the Spartan-IIs.

I thought there were 13 original rings and 7 rings at the time the games take place. Why does he keep saying 12 and 6?
Out of the 12 original rings 1 survived (instillation 07) and was added to the later 6 rings...making the final count of halos 7

We did the same with smallpox. There are two officially sanctioned laboratories that still hold vials of smallpox. The CDC headquarters in the USA and the VECTOR institute in Russia.
To terrify you, there were six unsanctioned vials discovered in a storage room in a vaccine research facility in Pennsylvania.
It should be noted that it's not exactly a dumb idea either. There's no way to know if there's dormant flood spores anywhere else, frozen in a comet or something. Just waiting to be released. Having samples to find a cure was probably deemed necessary for that reason.
