I've tried to locate this mine site (up Silver Fork) but have not been able to find it. I'm guessing that it has been totally reclaimed and made completely unrecognizable by now. I've been up to a mine (which is being used for watershed purposes now) that I believe is just up the fork from this.

Yes, but sadly the whole site has been reclaimed. No structures or portals remain. You can see where the portal would've been, as there's water coming from the hillside there. I thought this mine site was further up Silver Fork up Big Cottonwood Canyon. It is down in the bottom and is easily accessed from the main canyon road. About a quarter mile below the Silver Fork Lodge there's a dirt road called "Upper Pine Tree". You get off on it, park by the rocks and follow the old double track road straight towards the creek. The Lost Emma Mine site is across the creek. The best remaining open mine for adventure up there in the Silver Fork area is the Woodlawn Mine, which is up Honeycomb Canyon on Solitude's back country. There's some neat cabin remains up there. The Woodlawn Mine's main haul tunnel is close to 2000 feet straight back. That isn't too dangerous as long as you stay on that main tunnel. It looks crazy dangerous in other areas, though.
