It's the big goodbye and we say farewell to our sailing home.
And as if it wasn't challenging enough to leave our home and friends behind. We're bringing our lives on our backs to get to the other side of the planet. With a 2 year old. And a baby on the way. In a pandemic. We're many many overlapping jurisdictions and covid regulations, and it can be pretty hard to keep up.
And as we get back to Oz, it's straight into quarantine. It's back to living in close quarters but without the sun and the sea, and as such, we're bound to go a little bit crazy.

I don't comment often. I am a landlubber living in The US state of Utah. I have been following for a number of years now. I know it sounds creepy but I just love you guys, especially since Lenny came along. This was an emotional episode.
Congrats on your new precious boy, can't wait to meet him. May you continue to be strong through this transition. 💪you are an inspiration to many, even some of us who don't aspire to be sailors.

That was my favorite vlog ever actually. I traveled from Asia to Amerika to Europe with my 3 kids and 2 dogs and hubby and it was no joke with covid …

This episode actually had me on a mini emotional rollercoaster, like I know little Darwin is born now and yous made it but I was still on the edge of my seat for you's especially Lenny saying goodbye to his first home 😭🙈 great episode as always !

I can fully empathize with this video! I just flew the opposite direction (well almost, Papua New Guinea to Canada) and when we got to our first transit point in Singapore were denied boarding. One piece of paper was missing. With my wife, a three year old and an eight year old now stuck in Singapore, it was an all night marathon to get re-routed, re book quarantine, re do everything. Thanks to some miracles by the travel agent, and some diligent work by some airport workers in Singapore, we got to Doha, then direct to Canada. I think we sat at that same gate in Doha, shame we missed you!

Longest flight of my life was a $600 economy class special from New York to Sydney. 2 hour stop overs in LAX, Tokyo and Singapore. It was absolute hell and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.

Love the "belly" dancing in the intro. There's nothing more beautiful in the world than a mother with child. That view is probably why my wife and I have so many kids. Lol
I'm 70 and my kids are grown up but there's still something magical about cuddling a pregnant Lady. I once asked a complete stranger if I could borrow his Wife for a few seconds for a cuddle and he said help yourself (with a huge grin on his face)

@@JRheu ya the title is an exaggeration, but honestly not a reflection of the content luckily. Check out some other sailing channels and you'd see some real negativity and small-mindedness. I feel like these guys showed mostly the positives while also showing a bit of the reality. They didn't go over the top negative or undermine the severity of the need for quarantine in that area and i appreciate that.

oh I love how Elanyna soaking up the 20 mins of sunshine between buildings..., I had a job in SYD, near town hall, n would walk 10mins on my half hour lunch break to Darling Harbour, to sit in sun for ten minutes, then walk back ten minutes threw the shadows of the city shade.. 🌞.., so good..

I can’t imagine how you solved your dilemma with the Covid tests and your travel. Elayna you are a real trooper, trying to get home to give birth and facing all the trials, you had every right to not only cry but have a full on meltdown.
When we were transferred from Australia to Indonesia we lived in a hotel for three months. My son was much older, but when he was bussed to school and my husband went off to work I was so lonely I couldn’t stand it. I paced around our room like a caged animal. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be quarantined as well. So at last you are home and things turned our for all of you.

I little while ago I pulled up next to a car in Newtown Sydney at a red light. I looked across and saw Riley. I was gunna say hi but was like naaaah they aren't in Aus I just watched their latest video island hopping the azures. Now I'm kicking myself.
OMG! I just went through all of that and am four days into quarantine in Sydney right now! We needed a visa, Electronic Travel Authority, a waiver to enter Australia, and a negative COVID test that must be within 72 hours prior to departure! Your videos are helping me get through this!

My partner was in quarantine there, 14 days and said it was great? The best food, beautiful accomodations and lovely people taking care of him and his family. I would emagjne after having the freedom of the sailing life 14 days stuck in a room would be "hell!"
