I LOVE Canare XLR cables. Great shielding, the connections are super solid, and I've never had a problem with them (after using several brands). To be super specific, here's the cable I'd get (since you want to boom in, you'll need a little length): amzn.to/2SPZVB4 (affiliate link) It's a 20 foot run, which should be long enough. Always good to a little more than you think you need, rather than not enough.
Chris Bryant Thank you! By chance, do they have the female XLR like this? The AZDEN SGM-250 is a male XLR... so I’m guessing I’d need the female XLR and then the other side to be a mini male to plug into my BMPCC4K?
Aah, you'd need an adapter like this: amzn.to/2SMGnxC I wouldn't recommend getting a single long cable that is the regular XLR on one end and the smaller on on the other - the adapter allows for you to use various lengths of cable with it easily. So you'll need that adapter, then whatever length of traditional XLR cable you need. =)
Can't hear the birds... 🤷♂️
So I guess that's good!
I am looking for a mike to record birds in the wild. what mic would you recommend?
What XLR cable do I get? I have this mic and I have the BMPCC4K but have no clue on what XLR cable to get... I wanna use it with a boom mic too.
