Check out "From Beyond 1986" if you enjoyed this. I met Barbara Crampton at a convention in the 90's, absolutely gorgeous, sweet and adorable. Really nice lady.
Re-Animator: The Musical is an American musical stage-play based on the 1985 film Re-Animator which was adapted from the stories by H.P. Lovecraft. First performed in 2011 at The Steve Allen Theater in Los Angeles, California, the show won several awards including the LA Weekly award for Best Musical. Wikipedia
'From Beyond' 1986 is another great Barbara Crampton & Jeffery Combs (Herbert West) (different characters) movie it is also based on a different H.P. Lovecraft story and was made by the same director Stuart Gordon.
there is another version of re-animator, the intregal cut, that is longer by about 30 minutes, it’s mainly just dialogue but it is fun to watch and gives more depth to the characters. there are quite a few fun dan & herbert scenes in it that only make me ship them even more !! bride of re-animator is a super fun movie too, 100% a great movie to watch during pride month !! although i wouldn’t bother watching the third one. another great movie is from beyond (1986) it stars barbara crampton (megan halsey) and jeffrey combs (herbert west), it’s another lovecraftian adaptation by stuart gordon with music by richard band (who created the re-animator soundtracks), and is just as silly and camp as the first two re-animator movies
I'm SO happy to see you guys watched this, it's a yearly classic in our house! If you're up to this, Bride of Re-Animator is also good, but stay away from Beyond Re-Animator--Combs is the best part of it (of course) and still brings the Best West, but you can tell even he knows what a trashfire he's in. Also, will you be watching Silent Hill?? The second movie is supposed to come out this fall! It's a fantastic, gory, scary movie. :) Thanks for another great video!
You guys should watch FROM BEYOND, still has Barbara Crampton and Jeffrey Combs, another HP Lovecraftian body horror, personally I think has the wackiest, nastiest body horror!
Whenever you react to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, I suggest you watch the unrated cut, which is 101 minutes. I also suggest that you watch Repo first followed by TCM2, which will you get you in the mood to cap it off with House Of 1000 Corpses since all 3 star Bill Moseley as an unofficial Bill Moseley trilogy
Honestly if there was like a Halloween Pride dance night or something, I’d go to it if the theme to this movie was going to be played! I have it added to my Halloween playlist and always crank up the volume when it gets to that song lmao
(Pro tip: skip the Reanimator sequels, but look into director Stuart Gordon and of course Barbara Cramption. Chopping Mall isn't nearly as gory as I'd like, but it's camp overload.)
Cody is like the late Vincent Price he was fine with horror. But he hated lots of blood and gore he felt an said it was not necessary or needed. He was fine with it to some extent if it was really needed for the story. But if it wasn't he was not a big fan he even stopped watching the remake of The Fly when. Jeff Goldblum regurgitated acid on the Donuts he said that's gross an not needed an stopped watching the movie. So Cody has similar tastes an standards as the late Vincent Price.
@@thehorrorbandwagonThen you need to watch Theater of Blood. That was Vincent Prices favorite horror movie he ever made. Because he got to do what he loved in it that is actually Theater acting. By that I mean things from William Shakespeare because. Vincent Price was a classic theater actor before he got into horror.
Great reaction guys! This is a great film, a masterful take on Lovecraftian stories and Frankenstein. Cody said he loves Lovecraftian movies, so I would suggest watching The Color out of Space. It is very Lovecraftian, the movie was produced by Elijah Wood from Lord of the Rings so you know its gonna be good.
One of my all-time favorite horror movies. A fantastic combo of cringe, gore, and camp. Combs is creepily perfect for the role. Re-Animator: The Musical? Yes, please.
OMG once Cody said I wish this was a Mel Brooks movie I instantly thought of his movie Dracula, Dead and Loving It. I would love to see you guys react to that movie!
Although those chest compressions were terrible ( you have to be careful b/c actually doing compressions on a healthy person, could cause physical damage/pain). But the scalping scene is spot on (for a planned surgery), reattaching it is it easier b/c sutures are hidden by the hair.
"We are this close to him just killing people so he can bring them back to life." SO...fun fact about some of the stuff he gets up to in the original short story... Also; you guys are gonna need to watch both Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Enterprise at some point. Jeffrey Combs (who plays Herbert West) is in both of them and he is AMAZING.
Man I wish I could have watched this movie for the first time! if you want to watch a great roll with Barbara Crampton you gotta watch Chopping Mall from 1986 she was my first hollywood crush!
Please react to the second movie ’Bride of reanimator’ I don’t think i’ve ever seen a reaction to it which is a shame because i think it’s pretty great too
I’d never seen this until today and it was…an experience to say the least. I mean, it was pure insanity. I love how Cody was trying to validate the science in an 80’s horror movie. That was a particular highlight of this video. For me I think taking the story away from West kind of detracted from it a little, because that Hill guy was just nowhere near as good a potential villain as Combs. He thinks he’s doing good and nobody could convince him otherwise. And he’s an absolute psychopath. He has no feelings of empathy for other people at all. He’s a great character.
Aw man I don't know what my parents were thinking letting me watch this when I was 12 but I'm glad they did. You need to check out more Gordon/Yuzna joints, like From Beyond and Society.
Yeah, I never thought I would revisit this movie because it disturbed me so much because I made the mistake of watching this when I was seven, but I’m willing to revisit childhood trauma to see your guys’s reaction
You guys - look up Aconyte Books new Lovecraftian novels. They're doing so much in that vibe but with (gasp!) Women! And Gays! And Coloured People! Lovecraft would hate it and it's just brilliant.
Talking about Lovecraftian, I cant believe you guys haven't reacted to Mandy with Nic Cage yet! Also, The Frighteners and From Beyond for more Jeffrey Combs.
This movie is one of the worst things I ever saw back in the day, it terrified me and literally made me just about puke. I absolutely hate it! 😂 I’m just here to give you boys another view , but I’m gong to do it with my phone muted and facing the other way, 😂😂😂
I ❤ this movie so much! Also, thank y’all for being so inclusive to gay and/or queer people💜 It’s refreshing to see gay content creators that are completely cool and normal AF people. Thank you💅
H.P. Lovecraft's "From Beyond"(1986) is a visual companion piece to this one. Very different story, yet similar in tone. The practical gore makeup and body horror VFX are grimace inducing. Very juicy/squishy/sticky/icky. You guys enjoyed Re-Animator, you will feel the same about From Beyond.
omg omg omg! I'm so happy you reacted to this, it's one of my favorite movies. I applaud you for editing this to get it RUclips friendly - that could not have been easy. Barbara Crampton was recently in Suitable Flesh, she was also in You're Next (2011). This same team of Stuart Gordon (dir.) Barbara Crampton and Jeffrey Combs made two other movies, From Beyond and Castle Freak. Jeffrey Combs is also in *a lot* of horror movies.
I absolutely loved watching your reaction to this movie. I love, love, love this movie! It's just so wacky! The music's amazing But, I love Bride of Re-Animator more. You guys really, REALLY need to watch Bride. It's such a good movie, more crazy campiness, and is heavily queer-coded. Also, in recent years, the creators of this movie and Bride have come out to say that Herbert is asexual and I believe heavily alluded to Herbert being gay.
Definitely recommend checking out the Dead Meat Killcount for this movie, they cover a lot of cool bts info! They also did some research while visiting morgues and body farms, which is why the body horror and gore in this movie goes hard!
Fun fact: my mom and dad’s first date was seeing this movie at the movie theater. She said she absolutely hated it and it was the worst movie she ever saw at the time, but she still ended up marrying my dad 2 months later lol
Hope that they get to that movie next, especially I consider it a good movie that fits as a companion to the Re-Animator series (some of the same actors being involved helps). ^^
"I'm expecting camp."
This film understands the assignment. Jeffrey Combs was _born_ for the assignment.
"this seems perfect for pride month" honey you have NO IDEA
😂
Dan Cain and Herbert West are the perfect Himbo/Dom relationship. The sequel (Bride of Re-Animator) is even more unhinged. Oh and there IS a musical!
The muscular corpse in the morgue, the one they reanimate, built an entire career being Arnold Schwarzenegger's stunt double.
Herbert West and Dan Cain my favorite couple 👨❤👨
"It's gonna get into the wrong hands."
And when Herbert West's hands are "the right hands" by comparison, you know you're in fucking trouble.
😂 so true
Also you should check out From Beyond which is also Lovecraftian type film. It also starts Jeffery Combs and Barbara Crampton again!
2. Bride of Re-Animator, (1989)
3. Beyond Re-Animator, (2003)
Check out "From Beyond 1986" if you enjoyed this. I met Barbara Crampton at a convention in the 90's, absolutely gorgeous, sweet and adorable. Really nice lady.
Yes! That was a great movie too!
You should watch Bride of Re-Animator too it's a lot of fun.
Combs is a beast, undeniable fantastical nonsense. 🎉😂

I have a buddy who was in the musical of this. Now that's love
I am LIVING for this reaction 💚 I’m so glad you guys enjoyed it.
You need to see From Beyond. J Combs and Crampton are both in it. Same director as well.
i was gonna suggest the same thing, almost every october i do a double feature of reanimator and from beyond. classics
'From Beyond' 1986 is another great Barbara Crampton & Jeffery Combs (Herbert West) (different characters) movie it is also based on a different H.P. Lovecraft story and was made by the same director Stuart Gordon.
Barbara Crampton is a queen! ♥ She always serves, in every movie.
there is another version of re-animator, the intregal cut, that is longer by about 30 minutes, it’s mainly just dialogue but it is fun to watch and gives more depth to the characters. there are quite a few fun dan & herbert scenes in it that only make me ship them even more !!

This is my favourite movie of all time! So happy to see a video on it ❤
37:46 I totally got that vibe
Yesss one of my favorite horror franchises! Please do the rest 🙏
I'm SO happy to see you guys watched this, it's a yearly classic in our house! Thanks for another great video!
As a comic book reader, I always loved the Re-Animator comics. My favorite was the crossover with Evil Dead: Army of Darkness vs. Re-Animator.
You guys should watch FROM BEYOND, still has Barbara Crampton and Jeffrey Combs, another HP Lovecraftian body horror, personally I think has the wackiest, nastiest body horror!

You guys gotta watch the color out of space with Nicholas cage. Cody would love the lovecraft of it
watch From Beyond! its kinda like a sister movie to this one (made at the same time and barbara crampton & jeffrey combs star in it as well!)
Honestly if there was like a Halloween Pride dance night or something, I’d go to it if the theme to this movie was going to be played! I have it added to my Halloween playlist and always crank up the volume when it gets to that song lmao
You boys reacting to From Beyond is gonna be a blast. It's even more wild, and seriously more perverted 😀
(Pro tip: skip the Reanimator sequels, but look into director Stuart Gordon and of course Barbara Cramption. Chopping Mall isn't nearly as gory as I'd like, but it's camp overload.)
Jeffrey Combs went on to be perfectly cast as the voice of The Scarecrow in Batman: The Animated Series
the only reason the cat scene doesn’t bother me is the ridiculous puppet they use haha
Happy Pride to Dan & Herbert ❤
Another more recent Barbara Crampton movie you guys would like is You're Next if you haven't seen it!
there absolutely is a Re-Animator musical and you gotta bring a poncho if you sit in the front row.
Honestly that is the best compliment! We love Vincent price here ☺️
@@thehorrorbandwagonThen you need to watch Theater of Blood. That was Vincent Prices favorite horror movie he ever made. Because he got to do what he loved in it that is actually Theater acting. By that I mean things from William Shakespeare because. Vincent Price was a classic theater actor before he got into horror.
Put You're Next, on your list. Barbara is in it
If you want to see more of Jeffrey Combs (Herbert West) along with Michael J Fox in a movie directed by Peter Jackson, check out The Frighteners.
You guys have just watched the most underrated horror film of all time
Yay! Re-Animator! 💚💚💚💚💚
Great reaction guys! This is a great film, a masterful take on Lovecraftian stories and Frankenstein. Cody said he loves Lovecraftian movies, so I would suggest watching The Color out of Space. There actually was a song made for one of the Re-Animator sequels. "Move Your Dead Bones" by DJ Reanimator. Classic.
Although those chest compressions were terrible ( you have to be careful b/c actually doing compressions on a healthy person, could cause physical damage/pain). But the scalping scene is spot on (for a planned surgery), reattaching it is it easier b/c sutures are hidden by the hair.
Beyond the Gates is a really fun Barbara Crampton movie. It's a really good gateway horror as well that you might both like.
"We are this close to him just killing people so he can bring them back to life."
SO...fun fact about some of the stuff he gets up to in the original short story...
Also; you guys are gonna need to watch both Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Enterprise at some point. Jeffrey Combs (who plays Herbert West) is in both of them and he is AMAZING.

DUA LIPA DANCING GOT ME
Please react to the second movie ’Bride of reanimator’
I don’t think i’ve ever seen a reaction to it which is a shame because i think it’s pretty great too
Ohhhhh im looking forward this vid😂!!!
You guys are going to LOVE Dead Space, I can't wait for the streams.
I love the idea of a Re Animator lady Gaga jukebox musical 😂
you guys should totally watch bride of re-animator next
One of the better examples of accidentally creating something else I've seen is in Braindead aka Dead alive.
Reanimator with Lady Gaga for the win 🙌
Aw man I don't know what my parents were thinking letting me watch this when I was 12 but I'm glad they did.
You need to check out more Gordon/Yuzna joints, like From Beyond and Society.
"Here's your meatball."
“From Beyond” is another movie with some of the same actors, it might even be considered more gross, and moist than this one.
WATCH FROM BEYOND!!!
Please do bride of re-animator please
This is my favorite horror movie ever! ❤️ I love Jeffrey Combs!
Watching this during Pride month was a perfect decision
Yeah, I never thought I would revisit this movie because it disturbed me so much because I made the mistake of watching this when I was seven, but I’m willing to revisit childhood trauma to see your guys’s reaction
Please, more Jeffrey Combs
I recently just heard about this movie and actually enjoyed watching it!
Also Herbert is asexual
There is remake. Herbert West: Reanimator.
Sleepaway Camp
You guys - look up Aconyte Books new Lovecraftian novels. They're doing so much in that vibe but with (gasp!) Women! And Gays! And Coloured People! Lovecraft would hate it and it's just brilliant.
Hey guys, you could react to the movie called "the black phone" please 🙏🏻❤
👍🏿👍🏿
waving at the other transmascs who are obsessed w/re-animator, hiya boys
this movie is very DomTop4DomTop
Talking about Lovecraftian, I cant believe you guys haven't reacted to Mandy with Nic Cage yet! Also, The Frighteners and From Beyond for more Jeffrey Combs.
Omg this is one of my favorite movies 😭 the queer community surrounding reanimator is INSANE! Herbert west and Dan cain are my favorite couple 😖
This movie isn’t hugely popular with the gay community for no reason 😂😂😂 danbert on top
This movie is one of the worst things I ever saw back in the day, it terrified me and literally made me just about puke. I absolutely hate it! 😂 I’m just here to give you boys another view , but I’m gong to do it with my phone muted and facing the other way, 😂😂😂
The moment-to-moment realizations (predictions, almost?) are hilarious 😂"This seems perfect for pride month". "This would make a great musical".
OMG FINALLY FELLOW GAYS WATCHING RE-ANIMATOR 😭💚
HAPPY PRIDE BTW !!!!!!
Great news guys. It was a musical. It was directed by the same director of the film aswell.
yet bride of re-animator goes to whole other level 🙂↕️🙂↕️
I would love to see you guys get into Bride of Re-Animator. I describe it to people as Dan and Herbert (spoiler) become domestic.
There actually was a musical! I believe it never made it out of LA. There was a splash zone for blood.
there actually is a re-animator the musical ! i don't think it ran very long though
Huge Lovecraft fan. My favorite of his works is Rats in the Walls. Which I think would make an AWESOME movie.
I ❤ this movie so much!
Also, thank y’all for being so inclusive to gay and/or queer people💜
It’s refreshing to see gay content creators that are completely cool and normal AF people. Thank you💅
H.P. Lovecraft's "From Beyond"(1986)

My favorite Combs movie!!! YASSSSSS
yall should watch bride of reanimator!!!
If you want more Barbara Crampton then From Beyond is a must after Re-Animator! Same production company, same cast, same campy fun!
Jeffrey Combs makes everything better 😅 The man is a horror icon and his particular brand of overacting tickles my funny bone.
A manipular… 😂😂😂 I’m going to start using that.
perfect movie for pride indeed
From Beyond ❤
Hope that they get to that movie next, especially I consider it a good movie that fits as a companion to the Re-Animator series (some of the same actors being involved helps). ^^
Watch Dolls from 1986!!
