We have seen her in this mode at her YG audition, playing late into the night on the documentary, and often in various reality videos when the members are filmed in more relaxed settings as "family." She simply loves to sing and always with emotion and great connection to the music.

I really feel that Rose’ can succeed in any musical genre anywhere she chooses. Her unique voice, total emotional commitment to each song, and undeniable charisma make her a musical citizen of the world.
I know you don't like ballads Mr. Coach but I find that it's only when Rosé sings a ballad that's when she showcase her voice because the music is not as loud so we can hear her voice clearly. When she sings a pop song with her members, her voice does not pop out as much as a ballad. I love all her songs in the Sea of Hope series and they are all ballads as far as I know.

A lot of people still haven't heard this and I agree with Fontviewer that this is Rose as a pure musician playing songs that she loves. I remember in one of the docs on BP Rose saying the one thing she missed about dorm life was wandering around the halls and listening to all the music coming from different rooms. Music has been her life and always will be her life, with Blackpink the interesting interlude that gave her the money and recognition to pursue her musical dreams. I wonder if the few people there knew how lucky they were to see her like this. She'll never be as flashy or forward as the others, but I think she'll be the one to continue in music no matter what. And, btw, if you want to see Knock 'em Dead Rose, look for her stint on the Masked Singer where she does a blistering "La Vida Loca." Trust me, the girl can belt it out when she wants to. (She should get together with Yuqi. They both have unique voices and the band version of "Giant" and "Bonnie & Clyde" would be a great duet for them.)
