This song is a gift from Charlie Puth to BABYMONSTER. He owns the lyrics,music and everything of the song. He saw Ahyeon's Dangerously cover( Dangerously is his song) and he like it. So he gave his song to BABYMONS7ER as a gift. (Actually thats why the song is sounds like a nonkpop song.)
True, but you forget one one thing. Charlie as a artist knows that BabyMons7er is the ONLY group that can pull it off. A artist will not give a group a their own song with 100% certainty they can pull it off. NO other group is do it justice. BabyMons7ers is beyond Kpop. I don't think any other group can pull the type of song with simple beat and tempo because of the clarity of their pronunciation vocally/rap. Nothing like this in Kpop. XG can possibly but they are Jpop or Global group as K-netizens say. This is what makes them unique. It's next level. They are the only group who can sing and rap in English that does it justice. Pure hip-hop, R&B, rap and pure swag. They can really do all concept and genera.
@@jojocastillo6441 Well, besides their unnies Blackpink of course... No one, and I mean no one, not even BM(yet), does English lyrics better than them as far as non-native groups are concerned.
The real genius of YG is picking artists with very distinctive but complementary voices, making it very easy for you to pick them out by just listening. Training pretty much exclusively for live performance, encouraging teamwork, and then very clever marketing of each of them.
It certainly helps that they have some of the best trainers and mentors in the business.

Love the reaction and I agree with what you said about Rami, she has a very distinct voice. I feel that out of the 7 of them Rami always stands out. The 2 members I worry about that are getting no attention is Rora and Pharita. I know its a team, but right now it seems we only get small bits of screentime and lyrics from Rora and Pharita. And for me, that is a crime, both of them could be Lead/Main Vocalist in any other group, and they seem to be underutilized in BM.
Korean netizens actually like them ti the fact that they are all talented. They praise Babymonster for being to perform live and they praise their vocals and raps. Especially this days, some other groups have been criticized for performing poorly and can't sing live, so its a pleasant thing to see that Babymonster can actually performance without even a backtrack.
You guys are right - for a rookie group, BM doesn't have a weak spot. All of the girls can sing, all of them can dance, all of them are great performers, they have 3 rappers (and a couple learning). One of the most common remarks by reactors is that they seem like a veteran group. The "surprise" for me was Asa's singing voice. She has a lower tone with some huskiness that I find very appealing, and they've featured that more than I'd expect, and I'm pleased with that.
Like you said, it'll be interesting to see what they do in the future, especially once all of the members turn 18 and they don't have to be careful to not be seen as being inappropriate. They seem to be making a deliberate effort to present a wide variety of styles already, which is good. I'd like to see them do a hard R&B and a hard Hip-Hop song, since they have the skills.
The future is so bright they gotta wear shades. 😎

love those ad libs and vocal runs. i'm sure there are others but the only other group i can think of where those stand out to me every listen is Red Velvet who are also highly regarded vocalists. Babymonster are in good company.

The girlies always brings a smile to my face. Love'm! So happy this was my first Kpop-album (it is quite a few more now btw). This song is also quite the bop.
You are spot on about YG, btw. Probably not the best company in terms of always getting it right (why does Blackpink have like 40 songs? etc etc) but their training is fantastic. Their artists always come out well prepared for live perfomances and this group shows it so well. The fact that most people are feeling they are basically performing like a senior-group and they are still pretty much in their first year tells you everything you need to know. Also, considering the ages, the potential for great careers is really endless. They have the talent and the charisma, as long as the songs are good they will be knocking it out the park for a long time.
There will be a comeback in the fall, so exciting!

Hey there Coach and Mrs. Coach, you are correct. The rappers can sing and the singers can rap. I watched the YG production video and the main producer, Choice37 said YG said these girls are extremely talented and he wants all of their talents highlighted. So as we get more music from them we should see more of their individual talent showcased, at least briefly because there is only so much that can be done in a 3 minute song.
Also, I watched the a fan-cam clip of the Singapore fan meet from Today (yesterday in Singapore), on RUclips a few minutes ago and during their encore performance of "Stuck In The Middle Remix"" Rami actually rapped the first part of Ruka's rap with Ruka by her side groovin to it. Then Ruka finished it off like Ruka does. I must say, Rami did a pretty good job.

I don't have a bias, or rather I choose OT7 as my bias, but I agree with you regarding Rami. I feel she is the best vocalist in the group. She has one of the widest ranges, the best vocal stability, vocal agility, she knows how to convey emotion, and she has the power to belt.
That said, the others are also strong vocalists but I feel each of them may lack at least one of the qualities that Rami has. Remember, this is just my opinion and their vocals are what hooked me into being a fan. I actually watched a reaction video from a vocal coach who described Rami's voice as a "mature adult voice". They are still young and developing their voices so the future is bright for them. I can only image what they will sound like in 2 years.

BABYMONSTER didn’t win any Awards for SHEESH during their promotions but for their last performances on Inkigayo and M Countdown they did something isn’t normally done on these shows! Instead of using head mic’s they used handheld mic’s and brought a Live Band and did their performances with one hand! And M Countdown has invited them to perform Like That as well on June 13 and 20!🤘🙏🏻

I don’t know if they gonna win with like that cause new jeans and aespa will still be promoting their new song then and it is really hard to compete with new jeans. Please react to Poppy. Her music is like a blend between Baby Monster and Slipknot. X or Concrete are good examples of what she does. The music videos for those are gold. She also came out with a new one called New Way Out which sounds a bit more mainstream, but it's good too.
Note - her music videos are usually horror related (typically contains blood, but usually not the entirety of it) and switches back and forth from pop music and metal and the videos are like that.

Thanks your reaction and support.. Yg trainee make the best all rounders. As a whole group they have unmatched!!! They only compare vocals. Example, Kiss of Life Belle likely is a better singer, just because she is doesn't automatically make Kiss of Life better then BabyMons7ers??? They have only 2 vocalist. BabyMons7ers has 6 vocalist. Not We are not even talking about rap as well. BabyMons7er has 5, 3 main 2 training. So at a group they are Monster.
