Hi Michael,
I am a metal fabricator by trade and do work in the residential, commercial / hospitality industry. I am curious what your thoughts are on the x12 in terms of providing utlity with regards to being able to design our weldment profiles directly from point cloud model generated by X12. The idea is that we would essentially come in with our scanner once footings / stem walls have been poured and do our initial scan. From that point forward, every design phase we are involved in we would do subsequent scans. In my mind, if the scans generated are accurate enough for us to build from, this would save a tremendous amount of time for us, as well as avoiding headaches when it comes to install day.
There is not a lot of content talking about the X12 being used in this capacity. I have seen a few videos demonstrating it's value "in-house" in the actual production phase but I would like to essentially be able to use the device prior to that element, to collect the raw data which would then allow us to generate the weldments we need.
