Hey, Will. Grab yourself some wedges and a spare bar and chain. You can always unbolt your bar and bolt on another and cut yourself out. Or carry two saws. There is a lot going on with windfalls such as tension, rollovers, and layovers. Never cut a large windfall dead center if you're bucking for firewood rounds. Start at the crown and work your way to the trunk. That's a big dangerous job you took on buddy, please take care. Kenny
Im moving back to my sweet spot of Stihl soon. I have to get a trailer first then when i sell the 576xp with all the extras i have, ill look into a 500i
Need to keep some wedges in you bag. I'm no expert by any means, but compression and tension wood is hard to judge. Also the masdaam rope puller would have helped tremendously as well on the branch hung up in other tree. Stay safe out there on these big ones.
You are going to get a lot of wood out of that monster. Have an extra saw on hand to get you out of these predicaments. Stay safe, be smart, and have fun!
What is in your hands? Go to hospital and have it removed immediately! Like the freeing, use what ya got 😅. Between that tree and the one in woods, you'll more than fill the yard
That's definitely a massive tree with a lot of wood. You'll definitely get better with your cuts as you get more experience. Stay safe my friend
That's the plan!
You have alot of work there Will. Take Care and be careful
There’s a lot of wood and work there Will , got to brainstorm that one, 👍
a tractor, dump trailer, and bigger truck wouldve been nice for this guy
A lodged tree is the most difficult…cutting trees are so different than logs. Be safe👏🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Larry. Yea this was one big project!!!
