Yeah, it was hard designing the glowing eye. But I finally got the glow effect right.
The fact that he implemented all boss mechanics like freezing the slowing scream boulders shadow hands and i frames to prevent cheese
And also the fact that deerclops actually has the same death animations as the Don't starve together one is insane attention to detail
Not to mention deerclops hitbox.

Man, its great to have you back. It feels so comedically timed on my end cause I just got back into terraria just before these were posted a few weeks ago, just totally fresh world. Happy to report I actually managed to beat a Mechanica Boss finally, and I’m currently trying to make a break through on my second. Turns out, Skeletron Prime isn’t as hard as I thought, especially with Adamantite, Shadowflame Knife, and Magma Stone with some good wings and what not. Its nice, all thats left is for me to know how to build something pretty in Terraria, and how to Fish properly, lol
Edit: totally forgot about this comment. But, a quick update! I beat the moonlord for the first time! Yippie!!!!

First off, never seen Deerclops with that high level of expression before.
Second off, comedic timing, sudden timing, and just all the jokes makes this so much more better than the masterpiece it would've been even without the jokes.
Edit: I just realized, through the entire animation starting from when JZ drank the shine, a circle of light stayed around him, including when running from Lucy. Attention to detail at it's finest.
Would Lucy be the axe? Puglord isn't familiar with Don't Starve but has noticed a things like Abigail's flower as well as fought this boss, but Puglord didn't get whatever kind of weapon Lucy is.

@@puglord7947 Yeah, Lucy is the axe. Imo best axe in Don't Starve thats also unbreakable, sadly unique and only usable by Woody. She talks as if his wife.

Wow you've gotten a lot better since I watched your Terraria animations 4 years ago! It would be awesome to see these new modernized versions of all the others bosses! Cant wait for Moonlord, Lunatic Cultist, and Empress of Light!
Even after more detail additions it still stays true to the originals! Great comedic timing, Action scenes that are more intense, using some actual terraria mechanics and much more!
Compared to the older animations, this really does feel more modern. It’s cool to see the way they’ve changed camera angles over the years
I love to look back at the old King Slime one and such; the changes in details such as lighting, how the movements are smoothed, and things like that are impressive to see :D

I'll be honest Jzboy I can see the improvement in this animation the stick figure and deerclops just feel like they have so much more life and emotion in them and it's amazing I've seen other comments say your working with a team on these now and I must say that's great to hear a team will not only help you finish these faster but make them just as well animated I can't wait to see the next installments of this series Keep up the great work 👍

I like the little refrence to DST right there with the torch (if your sanity isnt maxed and your campfire is still up a hand will attempt to remove the fire)
And fun facts: Deerclops is a JOKE in DST with only 4k total HP and his drops are great for Spring, but when Deerclops goes invincible in Terraria, his look actually changes to Feastclops (Winter's Feast variant of Deerclops in DST)
also the death animation for deerclops in dst was referenced in the video when the deerclops died

@@arandomgamer9317 not near minimum. I believe your sanity only needs to be below 80% for the hands to appear.
Absolutely LOVE the why you animated this you gave the characters so much feeling and made them feel like real beings with emotion and it’s just astonishing how incredibly well you can animation now please keep it up I’d love to see more of this it’s not every day you see some REAL dedication in animation 👍
I love how he shows how you can go underneath deerclops
Even small details can tell where this story took place. This guy has the Muramasa, which means that he clearly fought AFTER Skeletron, and if I recall, it was usually best recommended to fight Deerclops mid- or late pre-hardmode. He definitely went with the latter, even entirely unintentional.

The deerclop's most annoying thing is it's knockback which is not easy to counter without the shield

This is one of the coolest animations I’ve ever seen. Still has that humor, has every boss mechanic, and all the action is top notch. Amazing
I really like how he even implemented the player positioning mechanics and conditions for each attack to occur. Very well made, nice job. Definitely my favorite one.

Dude I just got this in my recommended after not watching for a long time, this is incredible! The amount of improvement from the last time I’ve watched is really impressive! And I still think that the old animations are great!
I also just want to mention how good some of these gags are, this is actually hilarious.
Man, I feel old watching this and looking back to the older Stickman vs Terraria animations, but watching this makes wonder what vs Golem will have in store. Take your time JZBoy and everyone helping!

I love this animation! Everything feels so alive! Each Hit from Deerclops has impact you can almost feel with quality of the animation but it still keeps the classic humor from older videos from killing the boss point black before the end, or how twinkle twinkle little star is being played followed by ice right to the eye, Lucy the axe being threatening to the classic freezing response to massive danger with a glass breaking sound effect. 10/10 you all did good

Man I love to see how an animator grows and learns, glitchtale is a great example of this starting in season 1 with pretty good animations with an overall great storyline, and then going to season 2 with amazing animations, and still a great storyline, and it looks like you're also starting to become a lot better animation, I always love to see animators become better. There's always room for improvement, keep on going! :)

imagine the amount of detail this must of taken to make. the animation style, along with the relatability of the game itself its spot on.

From all the DS easter eggs I could find is from order of appearance
1.) Charlie's shadow hand creeping in during night time to shut off the torch light
2.) Deerclops's full death animation and pose
The rest are mechanics in the game itself which is already a reference to DS which if you didn't know
1.) When you're too far from Deerclops it will turn into the Winter's Feast color shading to indicate invincibility
2.) The Shadow Hand that assist it in the fight is the same with the shadow hands earlier shown clearly repurposed in Terraria for the boss fight
3.) The ice attacks are the same in DS but unlike DS Terraria's Deerclops can't inflict the frozen debuff
I like how easy the fight looks like , this crap killed me alot of times in my first try (in master ftw)

I think the Deerclops Fight takes place before Queen Slime and after Skeletron.
So maybe this happened after Jack killed Skeletron and went back to his base.

Really like the additional don't Starve stuff like the creeping shadow hand trying to put out your fire, Deerclops' death animation, and all
I absolutely love how animated both of them are. Deerclops always seemed to be the most energetic feeling and animated boss in the whole game. Even other humanoid bosses like the Moon Lord feel stiff due to lacking any form of emotion in what animations they do have. Deerclops actively looks pissed off and driven as he fights you. He looks like he wants you dead and to teach you a lesson for messing around in his turf, and you captured this absolutely perfectly.
Very cool, I would even say I really wanted to play terraria)

This is the best one so far in my opinion. I love how Deerclops is animated. The best part is because of how already animated Deerclops looks, you can do soo much more with em than you can with most bosses in Terraria. The creative freedom is oozing!
Deerclops is the only boss in the game that has a sprite for forward and side so they went all-out
That expression work on Deerclops it's just, amazing, loving how the team has improved a lot trougth the years.
