So I'm using a regular cloth mousepad and I'm torn between the jade and the obsidian. Coming from the tiger ice skates which is closer between them? And is the obsidian okay on cloth mousepad since I mostly play CS or Valorant and I want the control over speed most of the time. Thank you for your review!
Jade skates are the most similar, obsidians are fine on cloth

All skates work with all pads, its personal preferance, decide based off of what you saw in the video.
Obsidians dots are by far my favorit skates to date.
does a glass mousepad with obisidian dots glide much faster than a speed cloth mousepad with jade donuts? i never used glass mousepad so i wonder how much faster this combo is compared to jade donuts with cloth mousepad
The jades don't feel good on the sp04
Yes, the obsidians on a glass pad are faster than faster than basicallly all other mouse skate and mousepad combos on the market. Even with one of the fastest cloth pads on the market, the Fnatic Jet with jades, the 4.0 is still faster with obsidian skates.
@@navidmehdi6 i'd say the jades feel amazing on sp0004. They die somewhat quickly, but they are very cheap.
They are definitely my favorite skates that I've tried so far on a glass pad, no question

Hey im looking to get dot/donut skates. I came to the conclusion i am very picky about my skates, and want to add/remove dot/donut skates to fine tune the glide and stopping power on my mouse. I hate the stuck feeling you get with most oem mouse skates and don't want the total slippery feeling that comes with too few dots. What kind of skates would you reccomend for this? Pads im on right now are raiden xsoft and zowie gsr-se gris. I think i will need the donut skates for my raiden xsoft since normal dot skates i can feel my mouse scrape the pad, it does not feel good. Let me know what you recommend, getting both dots and donuts for both of my pads.
Xraypad just released a slightly slower version of the jade dots, so if you double up and put two skates in each corner of the moose and one in the top and bottom middle, that should have a nice and smooth glide feel, while not being super fast
I have the pink cicada wings aswell and i know how fast they discolor / look nasty, while being clean. would recommend not using them in a review though , shit looks nasty haha.
Yea I know, but I also wanted to show the wear in speed of those grips, and how fast they discolor after just a few weeks of use.
I'm using obsidian pro mouse skates (dots), I have the jade as well but they're too fast on my xsoft raiden. It looks to me that the donuts are slower/more controlled than the dots? What's the difference between letting the dot stick inside the donut hole and not having the dot in the middle of the donut?
Nothing really, just slightly less friction

every month, that is on the 4.0 as well. on the 3.0, 2-3 weeks is average

Great review mate! I just ordered a pair of Jade Dots from your reviews (Can't wait!). I really wanted the Donuts, but the diameter (9.5mm I think) is a little too big and won't fit in to the grooves of my FinalMouse Tenz Small.

if your someone who likes to press hard into your pad then no not really, but if you don't put that much pressure, you should be fine getting the donuts
What are your thoughts on jade dot vs donut on control pads. The priority being not having the mouse sink or catch the pad. Also would you say its as important to make the donuts perfectly symmetrical when placed or will a few mms not make a huge difference.
If you have a soft pad, jade donuts are definitely the way to go, they sink less into soft pads than dots. Having the skates perfectly symmetrical isn’t needed either, any placement is fine as long as your mouse is level and balanced.

It mostly comes down to personal prefreance, donuts are a nice balance of speed and smoothness between dots and full skates. Refer to my reply to your other comment on the dot skate video for exact details.

if your asking about jade skates on a glass pad, its very fast, you have to have very good mouse control to use that combo
