Magnificent rendition on this piece. Upon Durable's passing I improvised on this theme in memory of him and sent a copy of it to his wife Marie, dedicatiing it to her. A few months later she also Passed away. It can be heard at: Improvisation on Veni Creator by Mark D. Falcone You Tube.
Hi Julian Matthews, I want to play this in my church. I am at St. Luke's Church, Dixon, IL, USA. I have One License, but they don't seem to cover French publishers. Any idea on how I can find copyright permission to broadcast this in the USA? Cheers, -YTS
Hi, thanks for your comment. I don’t really understand your question, sorry. If you want to play the video through speakers i don’t see any reason not to and if you want to play it yourself I don’t really see what’s wrong. But I don’t know anything about copyright so please ask other people if you’re worried.
How on earth does one play the last three measures? There's no way for the left hand to hold the middle "e" and hit all the cluster chords while the right hand is holding the top "e", even if the L and R hand to share all those notes and cross staves.
I thought: "What a magistral interpretation"... then I read "Olivier Latry" and that explained everything.
❤
C'est magnifique! That organ at St. Etienne-du-Mont is of classic French design, with amazing reeds.
Quelle majesté, ce thème du veni creator. Et quel finish époustouflant. Ma pièce préférée de Duruflé.
Mine too - plus some of his choral stuff !

Brilliant composition made by a great composer and played by a talented virtuous organist
Virtuoso
@@stephenkolarac5305: Maybe both! 😎🎹
Organ+organist+composer = make possible the miracle.
Without any of them , its imposible
True ❤

You may perform copyrighted music in religious services in the USA-you just can’t stream it without permission.

I mean its quite a stretch but the biggest interval is only a 9th, you would take the top note or 2 of the bottom stave with the right hand!
The highest note of the last left chords can be easily played by the right hand, a 9th is not a problem.
