@@freedommowers420 - Sometimes, the “free” ones can be the most expensive once you add up all your time and effort. That motor sounds good, though. Good luck with it, my friend. 🦅🇺🇸
Thanks Paul. Yea this one was out on the back burner due to the amount of work needed. Looking forward to getting it back cutting again. Thanks for stopping by.
Thank you Artie. I’m making good progress. I’ve made part two already for Tuesday’s upload and should be done with it completely by the end of next week.
At 5 minutes in Alex I was like maybe it'd be quicker to tell us what does work on it, lol. As far as the drive belt novice mistake just join the club brother, most of us have done the same thing and worse. Good video and I'll be awaiting the next stages too. :)
Haha. Yea I think I went rambling on at the beginning. Big time mess on this mower for sure. I’m working on part two right now and making some good progress on it.
I think you got a nice tractor Alex, once its up and running and a little paint work. Engine runs fine and hopefully the transmission is good! People throw away some good projects. Part 2 should be very interesting as well.👍🇺🇸🚜 Roger
@@rogermcdonald1607 thank you Roger. Yea I’m not quite sure yet what made them leave this one to rot, but it is coming along pretty good at the moment. It was pretty bad, but I’m up for the challenge. I thought this one would be a fun project for the channel.
Thank you. I’ve made some good progress on it and can’t wait to share how it’s coming along in the next video. Greatly appreciate your support, and have a great weekend.
Would you happen to have the model and serial number for this? I just got one in on a trade. Guy bypassed the seat switch...seat switch dangling around and rubbed through the sticker. I need to order some parts for my machine. 18.5 with Manual Trans Need Shift Knob Battery Tray, Hold Down and Hardware Seat Springs Belts
@@freedommowers420 ok, TY. I swore up and down DYT were premium machines. I would assume premium means Hydro trans not Manual. I just want to make sure I didn’t get jammed up with another Franken Tractor. I did find a model number online…break down shows a fan on the trans which to me means Hydro
Clean that carb you got on there good, it should be good carb. The engine runs solid. The oil on the rocker arm cover, is most likely the gasket not sealing off, but I have encountered the rocker arm cover bolts slightly loose a number of times. Over all the mower looks dirty but not in horrible shape. Good job far 👍
Thanks Mitch. Yea I finally got the carb sorted out, and running well. I think they left the rocker cover loose at one point but I have another gasket worst case. I’m making good headway on it, and should be totally finished by the end of next week. Really appreciate you stopping by 🙏
I have a DYT4000 spec no. SV590-0002 and want to know if this motor has a low oil pressure switch and if so where it is located? Many thanks for any help you can give me
You have to love the free ones. I'll be following to see where this one goes. 😁👍
Thanks brother. This one is a real mess. I’m trying to get it going the best I can on a budget.

@@baldeagle242 agreed 100%. I knew this one may be costly, but I decided to run with it to have some content and show what it takes.

Over 600 hours lasted quiet some time. After looking at this it Really cleaned up well💯💪🏽
Agreed. This mower has put in some work. Hoping to give it another shot. My zero turn after two seasons of lawn care only has about 150 hours on it.
Good start on fixing that freebie up. I hope the trans is ok after you put the belt on. I think it will be. I'll see you on the next one brother!!!

I don’t have that exact machine from this video but I’ll look through my hoard tomorrow and see if I have the numbers for you.
