I think using a shovel is a few milliseconds faster then the axe, i never had 8 items with an axe, but with a shovel? Always

More specifically the swinging and recoil animations are shorter, and since getting resources from rocks relies on a timer quicker animations are better

Kiki is literally my favorite villager! I imagine her having a southern accent because her home in New Leaf had K.K. Country playing and her furniture looked pretty rustic! Kiki is always so welcoming!

Just wanted to say that the reason you are getting only peach and apple islands is because you can only get your native fruit and your «sister fruit» on nook miles ticket island tours

you keep getting peach islands because your rare fruit islands can only come with 1 type of fruit that is not native to your island, so technically without friends you're limited to 3 fruits 4:02

[EDIT] Etce if you want to get all 8 items off of a rock, it's best to use a shovel because it's slightly faster than the axe.

There's only two types of fruit you can get from nook mile tickets, your native fruit and sister fruit. As for the rocks, to get all 8 items hit with a shovel since it's slighty faster!

fyi, not seeing it in the top comments, but if you eat a fruit and break the first rock that you need to break on money rock island (so that you can pole vault over), you'll get 8,000 bells from it instead of the few coins you can get by looting one item/swing/one item/swing/one item/swing. tested it myself so i've seen it working. always break that first rock and hit the others with the shovel since the animation is faster and it lets you get 8 money instead of just 7 (the last bag contains 8,000 bells as well for each rock). :D

For like an entire month All I got was pansy islands with cherry trees I was going CRAZY and then Leif finally showed up and I got some new flowers. I love Kiki he reminds me of my cat juju
The reason you get peach and apple islands only is because you only get your starting fruit and your sister fruit (the one your mom mails you) on mystery islands. When I go I get pears and sometimes peaches because those are my fruits.
Ooh so that why i only have pear, i have appels too but only pears keep get back -_-
