Gorgeous finds. My Sister has been doing this for years..she has quite a collection of pin cushions...you will cherish and enjoy yours also. The information on the iron was interesting. Thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial ❤️ the black and white dog is adorable...and multi purposes..dish in front to hold clips..pin cushion...backhole you could keep friction pin or glue stick...can't wait to see what you decide ❤
Thanks, Pam! I definitely use the black and white dog a lot. My fabric marking pencils/markers are in the back hole, and Wonder Clips in the front dish (and top of head). Wish I could see your sister's collection. Shopping for unique holders is part of the fun of making these pin cushions!
Love your use of antiques! Thru the years, I’ve found using pieces of wool for pin cousins has worked best. It does not absorb humidity as walnut shells, sand or rice. The wool scraps are excellent for sharpening pins as well
Hello and another awesome video! I hope you had a wonderful day. I spent my day in my sewing room and filming for our little channel but now I get to watch your video. I just want you to know that you make me smile. Thank you for posting this video and sharing you expertise!
Those are absolutely adorable! Nice job. Thank you for your videos. I watch them while im sewing and they are not only informative, but also very relaxing.
Beautiful I'm going to check out charity shops for a dog ornament - and put a little back pack on the back in brown with a false pocket on top - that's my plan for a pin cushion Thank You😊
I just came across your channel, it was fun to watch. I love using antiques or unusual objects for pin cushions. The sad iron information was interesting. Which antique store did you find your treasures? The wooden spools make cute miniature pincushions too.
Amazing wonderful idea
Thank you so much 😊
These are so cute and I love repurposing antiques.
So cute❤ gingham dog. And calico cat!!
Haha, I just started singing that song too!
I can never find cute antiques like that. Cute!
I got real lucky the day I found the two pups. It took several antique stores to find something I really wanted. :)
I never thought of using antique planters! They are adorable
I agree, Wendy!

Thanks for watching! I have found several potential pin cushions at the Red Door Antique Mall in Mount Vernon, WA.
Steel wool helps sharpen needles.
Thanks for the tip, Linda!
I find if I draw the circle on the back of the fabric it’s easier to follow
Good tip! Thanks! :)
