- Levi Morgan one of the most dominating pro's to ever shoot 3D Tournaments is 32 up for the weekend and a second year pro who has yet to win a Pro Tournament is 32 as well. The Question is does the inexperienced archer got what it takes to control his nerves in the six target shootout. Jamie Jamison must be on his A game because once Levi gets in the shoot downs his dominance really begins to shine. Watch along as Jamie gives Levi all he can handle in what could be the shoot out of the decade.
I don't know jack about Archery, but this was exciting as hell to watch.
Cool shots. But background music sound like Pokemon stadium music. Hahaha
How do you know what Pokemon music sounds like?
ItsJCalvillo ikr
What’s so wrong about knowing what Pokémon music sounds like
I used to be obsessed. I still like it but not obsessed
se inscrevam em meu canal deixe seu like no meu ultimo video avize para eu retribuir
Thank you very much for the upload Michael Devine.
If you see this, Jamie, great job! This is my first 3d archery video I watched and you definitely deserved that. You seem like an honest guy. Cheers.
Every time this comes up in my feed I watch it. I love it more every time. Would love to see the shoot down between Randy Ulmer and Jack Wallace back in the mid 90s. I had it on video but have lost it.
Great shooting guys from all of you, it was awesome to watch..
I look forward to seeing all of you guys in comments section at the next championship beating these guys. Standing there victorious with the prize money you so easily won.
Lol my thought exactly
I have five separate 16 foot long stabilizers on my bow, so yeah I could kick all their butts easy. 😁
Davis Napier easily come on now! It saw down to the wire.
incredible. Those Guys are heroes. Great battle and both have really strong mind
look at all them binoculars in the crowd
they glassin
6:02 left him hanging
Didn’t leave that cheek hanging though 6:05
Best MegaMan background music dubbed to World Championship of Bird Watching footage eveeeeeeeeeerrrrr!!
i have no idea why i watched this, i dont know anything about archery and have no idea who any of these guys are...but i liked it 8 )
What a match between two of the best shooters and bow manufacturers #hoytusa #teamhoyt
Nerves of steel..one hell of a shot for the win..
Awesome shots from both competitors!
I really enjoyed watching this.
I never seen that type of archery before, but I was rooting for Levi just because my name is Levi... but what a good match
6:04 that butt slap
😂
Now that would be fun to watch. Lets watch Byron take on these two on a 3D Course. I am in.
6:01 that lady totally pushes the kid out of the way.
Beautiful shots!
saw this one live in West Monroe...it was great!
man i'd love to attend something big like this
Old bows with dead nuts accuracy but we are to believe every year every company makes a more accurate bow than the year before.
People should have to pass an IQ test before they can comment...
Sm snipes have you
What is Iq
Sm snipes I was 100th like!
Most Underrated comment.
Nice work Jaimie.
Spoiler alert, Jamie wins. But has he done anything since? The announcer made it seem like Levi was finished, washed up, done, career over.....yet here we are in 2019, and he’s won year after on the ASA and IBO circuits, and competes at a very high level in field (Redding) and spot shooting.
Jesus! Some damn good shooting!
Holy smokes that was insane
Real life Duke boys. All that's missing is the dynamite tied on the arrows.
Amazing skill levels !!
Was a cracking shot.
guys, please, we shoot recurve or longbow, does not mean we can dis people that shoots compound.
***** LOL I enjoy both but that is by far the funniest thing i have heard in a while.
Terrific bowmen!
great sportsmanship
What a shot
That was awesome!!
I shoot recurves and longbows off the shelf but I won't pretend that shooting compound like this is easy. Is it so hard to give a little respect? I don't like shooting compound but that doesn't mean that it's easy or inferior to traditional archery.
Shooting a compound is not archery so you can't compare a compound to a traditional bow.
john from Why isn't it archery? It's a bow, isn't it? You shoot arrows, don't you?
Quit being a traditional elistist. Why don't you go back to chucking stones at animals if you want a challenge.
Compound bows require plenty skill. Bet you couldn't do anything close to this even with twice as much training.
It is easier. It takes away guess work. Doesnt mean you don't need skill
Well I'm glad I met Jamie great guy
this is weird, shooting with compounds, with stabilizers, sights, binoculars and all that shit at 3D targets where everybody usually just shoots their trad bows at :D
But as far as I understand that doesn't really make it any easier, it just puts the competition to a higher level of accuracy where the slightest mistake or offshoot can make you lose.
these guys are great.
So American 👍
Most of us compounders pay no attention or even care about recurves or longbows and get on with what we love. Its amazing how much different it is the other way round. They spend more time calling us "cheats" than shooting their own bows.
I disagree. I shoot traditional and compound. I think compound takes more SKILL, as to where traditional is more hand/eye coordination. It takes practice with BOTH, to get and stay good with either...but in my opinion, compound takes more skill. Most traditional shooters(not me) are happy putting five arrows in a paper plate size group at thirty yards. I can do it at forty most days, but even though you have sights, high tech rest, mechanical release, stabilizers and so forth....
compound more skill xD yeah right...you can shoot a compound with your pinkie, can you do that with a traditional bow? I don't think so. Be more respectful of other types of archery.
nesuke...where did I say ANYTHING to be disrespectful of ANY type of archery??? you also don't know what you are talking about, another keyboard cowboy. lol. disrespectful, lmao...you need to take some reading comprehension classes.
nesuke Do you realize what you just said? You told someone to be more respectful about a form of archery right after you just said one was so easy it could be done with just your pinkie.
That's because a compound bow takes no skill. Anyone and I mean anyone can pick one up and drill 7" groups all day long from 40 yards with a compound since it's a mechanical device. It requires minimum operator input unlike a single string bow which does not operate on its own (unlike a compound).
There's a reason why compounds are called compounds and it's because they are not actual bows and are just space age military mechanical leverage devices. Look at how fat and out of shape these guys are. They have no discipline. It takes no practice to get good with a compound device.
This shit is also as boring as hell to watch. They sit there at full draw for 20+ seconds with their let off and rely on peep sights, the sight itself, stabilizers, wrist slings, and a mechanical release as crutches because they do not have the skill nor discipline to shoot a real bow that does not have these devices. If you want to go see real archery do a search for Howard Hill or Byron.
Compound will never become a big money discipline nor very popular because there's no skill involved and it's very boring to watch.
Have you ever ACTUALLY shot in a compound competition?
Woaw just totally awesome
Great shooting!
Great shot.
How many yards was the target?
30 or 32 yards
Ricky Miller that's it? well damn I'm not that much of a bow guy myself but I got friends that can kill a buck with lung shot from 80 so they would be great at this
Bubble Buddy ....lungs on a deer can be hit anywhere within an approx 8” circle. That’s a pretty forgiving target. The 14 ring on that target is approx 1” diameter. The margin for error is exponentially less while aiming for a 14 ring. Also, if you are aiming for an animals lungs at 80yds, and you miss by a few inches, you still hit the animal. As long as the hit was within the chest cavity, you still get your deer. If these guys miss a 14 ring at all, they shoot a 5. That miss costs about 20K$.
So there is a huge difference between hunting and 3D target archery
That's what Levi gets for blowing off his congrats lol. BOOM!:) priceless
I know Jamie personally and I didnt even know he won this😂 I wrestle with his son
A link to what the rules and regulations are would be a good addition.
Jamie just scored an 8 on the cinnamon bear !! LMAO what am i watching
?
Moral of the story: Never celebrate too early
I bet Lars Anderson can shoot all of those targets before one of those people release their arrow.
Minh Nguyen Not in the 14
Minh Nguyen he can shoot fast but not extremly accurate, thats just not his thing, he's more like a trickshooter (but just one off the best
I think the narrator wants to get a room with Levi Morgan
That's all well and good, but are they Lars Anderson good?
Jesus Christ that music and that commentary is just brutal for an otherwise interesting and intense competition. Fire that dude commenting and the music creator GAD DAMN!
incredible
See the dude at 4:27. He talks shit in his ear, and gives him a pissed off look.
Ha
would cameron hanes have a shot here? serious question...
Amazing
I am getting started into archery what would any of you recommend me to start with? Wether it be a horse bow or something?
I would recommend a place mini burner. A great beginner bow. That or a Genesis compound youth bow
Pretty cool comitition. Looks like everyone's shooting their target bows in a 3D compitition. They should be shooting their hunting set up to make ot more interesting. Everyones got a telephone pole sticking out their bows. I'd make it more realistic
Is this real???
That was epic
worst place for zombies to start their apocalypse
A good shot indeed.
I was just noticing how Jamie loosens his grip on the bow right after the shot. Anyone else see that? May have to give that a try and see if its more comfortable than the traditional follow through and keeping the sight on the aiming point that most people are taught...
the bow should always rest at ease within the relaxed palm.....over gripping can change shot projection
He lets off easy because the fps is so high. He doesn't need to follow through with such a high fps
3:15, true commitment...to eating
wow that was intense!!! :D
Damn Levis bow looks 50 years old
from how far could people of those skill hit the deer if they only needed to hit the deer and not a specific place?
STORMZ the targets are set for kill zones the only factor that would come into play is the animal moving.
If you are just talking about finding foam, as they say, which means just hitting the target anywhere, I would suspect most of these guys could do that out to at least yards meters. The rules for the tournament they were shooting specify UNKOWN distance out to 50 yards.
So for everyone that thinks this is easy because of the bow, think about this....the shooters have to judge the distance to the target. A misjudge of 1 yard means about 1.5inches high or low (this was in 2011 when the 280 FPS rule was still a thing...now it’s 300 FPS, so a 1 yard misjudge doesn’t punish as much as it used to). They then have to hold their pin on the scoring ring. Which sounds easy, but even at 20 yards, the rings blend in with the color of the target. So you have to know where to hold on the target. Let’s say you do all that perfectly. You still have to execute a perfect shot for the arrow to hit where you aimed. That is not easy with $20K on the line, your heart pumping from adrenaline, and every little bit of self doubt you’ve ever had trying to overcome your cool. And oh yeah, at the Pro level, every one of the shooters can shoot at least as good as every other pro. The competition is insane.
So before you trash these guys on the RUclips, get a bow setup with all the high tech stuff, get it sighted in out to 60 yards just to be safe, and shoot a round of unknown 3D from the long stake. Once you can shoot the scores these guys shoot, avg 420 for 40 targets, ASA scoring, join the pro circuit and show us all how easy it is.
Heck, I’ll even let you shoot a known class out to 45 yards. You still don’t shoot the scores these guys do shooting unknown mind you, if you haven’t practiced....a lot.
Now go. Lots of good bow deals online these days. Report back and tell us how you got along.
Hoyt got the job done !!!!
Unreal!! Wow
woow, that's what i call a best archer is.....
Next year I'll go there and sell binoculars, make a fortune
wow wow great
for hunting purposes i understand why is using compound so popular....but here i dont really get what is the competition about o.o
But can they do a 360 spin and shoot 4 arrows at once backwards
I'm very impress with these guys. But in a real life situation I have yet to see a stabilizer that big.....But great shooting
mach crush ....3D target archery is just that....TARGET ARCHERY. In target archery, long front bars to increase MOI, thereby reducing apparent movement and slowing pin float are the real world.
Listen people, at the PRO level of 3D target archery, the shooters are not drinking beer, sighting in and “practicing” with their hunting rigs until they can hit the deer 4/5 times and call it good before they head to the woods. At the pro level you have to shoot better than perfect to even make the shoot off. Then you have to shoot better than everyone else on top of that. Y’all that are knocking this type of archery, obviously have never stood on a line under pressure, knowing that if you miss a 1.5” circle at what you guessed to be 43yds, you miss out on 50,000$ (prize and contingency money from sponsors).
Hell, I am willing to be that you armchair archers out there that are hating on this aspect of archery could not come close to the scores these pros shoot, even if you were shooting 35 yds max, known yardage. For the record, the pro class shoots out to a little over 50yds, UNKNOWN distance to each target. They have to accurately determine distance to the target, set the sight, and make the shot. Also, in 2011 when this shoot was filmed, ASA had a 280 feet per second arrow speed limit. At that speed, being off by 2 yards on your distance, at a measured 40 yards, is about a 4 inch difference between where you are aiming and where the arrow hits. So you’ve missed the 12 ring completely, have no chance at the 14, and if you knew you might be off on yardage, so held a bit high or low on the 10, you MIGHT catch the 10, if you are lucky.
And let’s not forget that on top of all this, you need to know how to manage the course too. In IBO shooting of course you just aim for the center 10 every target, and hope your yardage and aim are solid, take the 11, and move on. In ASA though, where the 12 rings come in to play, you’ve got to know when to shoot at them and when not to. Remember that discrepancy between arrow impact and aim I mentioned before? If you are aiming at the 12, and you are off on your yardage, you just hit an 8, or maybe a 5. At this level, shoot ONE 5 during a tournament and you are off the podium, just like that.
So in short, if hitting a pie tin with your Sage from 7 yards in your backyard is your idea of what a “real archery challenge” is all about and what archery should be....congrats pee wee. Good for you. Maybe some day you will be able to hit that tin 6/6 times from 7 yards!!! In the meantime, have some fucking respect for those that put in countless hours of practice shooting, judging yardage, actually helping other archers, and being better people than you. Because aside from the differences in equipment and all that between pro shooters and backyard amateurs, you know what the biggest difference is? You won’t find the pros talking lame ass shit in the comments section of RUclips. Their shooting and scores are all the commentary they need.
what stabilizer does jamie shoot?
Why do they call it the world championship how many non USA archers were there?
TheGooch595 I was wondering the same
Who selected the mono tone announcer. It totally ruined the video!
how many pound pull bows are they shooting?
I doubt it is very high. As an example, Hoyt sells competition compound bows from 30-40lb up to 60-70 lb draw weights. Competitors would presumably use the lightest draw that shoots flat for the distances on the day. Modern bows have 75%-80% let-off, so these guys are probably holding around 10-15 lb draw with a bow+stabilizers+sights+power windows, etc. that weighs around 5-6lbs.
ok i get yah, makes sense they dont seem to pack much of a punch on impact, compared to 70-80 pound hunting bow.
So where is this Jamie Jameson guy now??
prob shit faced drunk in a bar somewhere still bragging about this tourny
OMFG ITS LEVI FROM ATTACK ON TITAN :D
no
Get serius, Get Hoyt, right?)
In the UK under most field archery rules, binos are not allowed.
Love to take on e of these guys bow hunting
How many of you can pull a compound bow all the way, or make a shot that good. So stop the hate if you cant do that and if you can well not that many can so value your talent.
What kind of release are they using
+Farm videos Back tension usually. Some use a thumb button.
+Jacob Rohr thank so much
Farm videos No problem.
All compounders know this, any good coach will tell you to relax and let the bow do the shooting
I also think it is funny how trad guys say compounds are "easy", but when you hand them one...they shoot it worse than a trad bow....???
I'm coming from trad bows, trying compound. You have more potential in terms of precision, but it is also more complicated.
I think it's a little weird when switching from one to the other.
I hunt compound, but like to target shoot traditional. It's fun to try and shoot instinctively. But when I'm in the woods, I don't like to leave anything to chance. Especially when meat in the freezer is on the line.
Hype
Hank Hill as the announcer helped
i.e. where's the hunting bows?
Maybe if they shot at each other in an obstacle course it might be more interesting
Marvcohen ....that exists...it’s called tournament paintball.
nice
Commentator sounds like Hank Hill 😂
Pretty sure dude perfect can do better upside down while driving 40mph on a gator
If this game is 3D, why they didn't wear 3D glasses?
He looks like tom Brady when he wins super bowl
Drink a shot every time you see a trucker cap!
