That little side note he made “and she’s here everybody!” after that one line in his song about getting a wife made me so happy and emotional for some reason.
I just turned 60 years old November 27th! And I first heard this song 7 years old through my 10 year old grandson who is 17 now! This song has been the most profound in all my 60 yrs & counting! When I married my husband I was 17, same age as my Grandson & he & his gf are talking about getting married & starting a Family as soon as school is out. I can’t help but wonder if in another 7 years I’ll be adding his child to the number of our Family loving your music & this song! God Bless you guys!❤from Texas, USA!
Happy Late BIrthday! I turned 18 on November 11th. I first heard the song when I was 11 which is crazy to think about, I hope everything goes well for your grandson.

God I was 11 or 12 years old when this song came out. I had no responsibilities, wasn’t even on the right meds for my adhd and autism. Now, 7 years later I’m a depressed almost 20 year old with a job and more responsibility that I ever asked for. For so long I just wanted to grow up and be an adult cuz I thought adults were the cool thing. Now I just want to be a kid again. I was so excited to grow up. I was so naïve. You never realize how much fun it was being a kid until you grow up. Idk why I’m writing this (I’m actually crying because of course I am.) I just wanted to reminisce I guess. You spend your childhood wanting to be a grown up and then once you’re grown up you realize it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. No one’s gonna read this anyway so I’m just writing this to get it out of my system lol. Edit: I just wanna thank y’all for the love. Imma be okay I promise. I know life is hard sometimes but I’ve always made it through. I’ve made it this far and I’m not stopping anytime soon. Y’all’s words have helped me so much. I’ve got my dogs and my family and my best friend imma be alright. Thank y’all so much 🧡🧡🧡
I've felt the same way, especially as a fellow ADHD'er that got diagnosed at 22. Keep going! You've got this! In a couple years you're going to wish you were 20 again but you'll find what you didn't have when you were younger is knowledge and years to heal
I live in Seoul and now it is 4:26 a.m. I have to go to church when it is dawn, but I have been listening to your songs all night long, I can't believe I know your music now. I have wasted my life. I love you. Please sing for a long time.
Yep! Just went on a Lukas deep dive again. But WOW, I immediately was stroke with this crazy heartfelt feeling.. it’s now been 9 YEARS since he came out! This song was my LIFE then. My 1st & then onlh child was 7. We were trying for yrs, suffering loses. The day this song first hit stations, I listened.. sat in my car in my driveway. Holding my 200th pregnancy test..praying. Looked at my beautiful 7yr old son behind me. That day, we found out we were pregnant with my 1st rainbow baby! 😭🥹 This song has forever, stuck with me. Now here I am 34, then 25. Have 4 beautiful boys. Lost 2 more inbetween them, and our only baby girl. My uncle passed away, who raised me as my father. Just 4 yrs ago, at 55. I’ll forever love the great Lukas graham. And holds a very place in mh heart and my story. ❤️ You will always be a legend, and this song will in fact go down as one of the best songs of all time!
My son introduced me to this as his favorite song 7 years ago. He graduates high school this year. It was one of the first songs he learned to play on the keyboard. Thank you, Lukas Graham!
This song came out when I was 13, nearly a full two years after my grandpa passed, when I was 11. Since then I've held this song so close to my heart. Never thought I'd get here, but now I'm 20 years old, hoping to write my own stories. Thanks for the memories and the inspiration, Lukas Graham. Here's to 7 more years, should God permit ❤️

Funny, I also remember when I first heard this song. It’s been while I drove for food shopping, listening to the radio and realized suddenly tears running down my cheeks. This song is like a fine wine to me, as it got better and the meanings clearer with time. I don't remember when I first heard the song, but currently at my 31, it means and hits so much more than it used to .
I traveled from Peru to Norway, Sweden and New York, to sing this song along with Lukas!!! Those are deeply happy memories I go back to whenever things get difficult.
Speed up to now...January 15, 2023 ...happily divorced raising my 2 beautiful young women who are now 13 1/2 and 15 yrs old now. Working too.....Yes got a JOB. lol.. I'm 57 old yrs now. Older and much wiser now.. God has blessed us... Wouldn't be here without His Grace and Mercy.....Went thru a lot of trauma and pain.......Tempted suicide...Didn't get thru it.... Had to dig deep to find my Faith..... Now when I hear this song...yeah I still get watery eyes...thinking about those dark painful days.... back then I didn't think I had the courage to start all over at 50 yrs old and a 7 and 9 year old to basically raise alone??!! Wow!!! Well I am doing it with his mercy!!! I am 57 now. and SINGLE... My daughters are 13 1/2 and 15 yrs old now!!! WE DID IT WITH HIS GRACE!!!! GOD IS GOOD! Just thought I'd share this with anyone who was low as I was back then. There is hope if you stay strong and don't give up!!
This song raised me. I had first heard it in elementary school, now I am starting my senior year of high school soon. I'm revisiting due to the same reason I always do, life gets stressful and I turn this song up. all respect to the man who wrote it, rock on!
Once i was 11 years old, now i have 18, seven years pasted as fast as a train, but this song always brings me back to that times and makes me want to continue. This is not simply art anymore, this is history.
Funny how time flies by so fast. I was in Kindergarten when this song came out and now I'm in Middle school. This song will always be apart of my life.
This is my favourite. It hit so hard every time I listen to eat. It's crazy how fast time flies. 7 years ago I was 13 years old and enjoying my life as an kid and now being an adult makes u understand that things are going to change even forever. But like the song does, I have to move forward towards the future. Thank you Lukas Graham for this song 🙏
7 years ago my best friend introduced me to this song. I remember the moment so clearly, we were sitting in his kitchen, the sunlight streaming in the the porch windows. And 7 years it has followed me, through it, through the moving and the new schools, the good times and the very bad. I’ve lost touch with my friend but wherever he is now, I hope he’s happy. Those few years in Red Deer were some of the best years of my life, and I thank him for that.

Lukas, this is my 11-year old daughter’s favorite song of yours. I haven’t seen her in almost 2 years and 5 months. The judge ruled AGAINST the evidence and placed my 2 youngest children in the custody of their abusive father. This happens to 58,500 innocent children each year in the US, according to the Leadership Council. It is a global crisis finally getting the attention of the United Nations. My heart breaks EVERY day for my children and the thousands more unnecessarily suffering because of this system failure. They are not safe. I lost ALL faith in the system but I believe God can use the SAME legal system to restore my family and bring justice! I can’t wait to watch this with her and my other 2 children together! We love your music, Lukas! May God bless you! 💜💙🙏🏼🙌🏼
I first heard this when I was in middle school, had just arrived at the US, and was learning a new language, new culture, meeting new people. 7 years later I'm in my first year of college, and it's still one of my fav all time songs. So many memories with this one. Thanks for this anthem Lukas ♥️🇧🇷
I just realized it's really been 7 years, back when this song came out, I was still in middle school and now here I am, with my own son who loves this song for a two almost three year old. He will point this video out to listen to it and just memorize the words with so much wander in his eyes
this song holds a special place in my heart. i heard it for the first time at a friends house in 2015. little did i know, that said friend died not too long a while later. still brings tears to my eyes to this day
When this song first came out, I was 16. Still in high school, mental illness really took a hold on me. Now 7 years later, I've used my journey to help others through their mental health journey, and am working in my dream field. Time flies. Things change, for better or for worse. This song is a constant reminder to cherish wherever you are at the moment, as it'll become memories in time.

I first heard this when I was in Elementary School. I heard this song in a car with my dad. The next day, I listened to it with my laptop. But my dad asked, "how do you know about this song?" I told him that we listened to it together in his car. But no, he was sure that he never listened to it before. I still remember that weird argument. This year, I will turn 16 and I will go to Senior High School.

My year 6 class wrote lyrics to this song about leaving primary school. We sung it on out last day of primary. I am now in my las year of college before university. This song will always bring tears to my eyes and the wonderful memories of primary school.
7 years - primary school - 4 BFFs 11 years - lower secondary school - 1 bestie + a few friends I was too scared to commit to 16 years - upper secondary school - first boyfriend + his friend that I'd known for years but never got close to 17 - 6th form - lost contact with everyone during the pandemic, made 2 new friends at my new school, was constantly ghosted by my best friend, but my BF + his friend stayed in touch 18 - started uni (and hated it), befriended a girl I knew from camp by pure chance on the first day and started running a uni society with her, was surprised that my BF's friend (and her new friend that appeared from nowhere because their mams met and knew their daughters would get on so forced them to hang out and lo they got on very well!) were still spending time with me, finally started to accept my best friend didn't care about me, struggled to be be social at uni and fought myself to start caving with uni (even though everything about it was so difficult, especially going to socials when I barely knew anyone and couldn't accept the people I did know actually liked me and was just so scared - more scared than I was of the physical aspects, which absolutely freaking terrified me!) 19 - started enjoying spending time with my 'new' friends that I'd known for years (because they actually like me and want to spend time with me?? Who knew??), broke up with BF on good terms, switched to a better degree I actually enjoyed, befriended everyone in my caving club and did a ton of crazy socials with them! 30 - god knows where I'll be in years time, but I think it'll be somewhere good, since I'm always learning to accept people's friendship and push myself even when I irrationally fear social rejection! Oh, and maybe I'll be an amazingly experienced caver with a successful sciency job to boot? 🤣
Crazy socials are as follows (and no, we never tell the student union!): climbing walls, bouldering walls, SRT in disused quarries, wild swimming in rivers, exploring abandoned lead mines, sneaking into the secret tunnels under the city, doing all of this in the middle of the night, in the dead of winter, miles from nowhere, during a storm, AND drunk, etc.) Everything that's ever caused anyone fear in a cave (some of these scare me, some are things I've seen others be scared of): deep dark murky water, dark, isolation, being lost, claustrophobia, heights, your harness catching on stalagmites when your trying to navigate tight muddy crawls, exhaustion, cold, stripping down to your underwear out of soaking wet clothes at night in winter in the middle of nowhere, rockfalls, falling off a free climb, getting wedged sideways in a crevice, floods, the scaffolding/rope/ladder/wood/rock you just put your hand/foot/bum/leg/elbow on MOVING when you put your weight on it, almost missing your callout time, bad air, that time many years ago we lost a few students to bad air, or even the few near-death experiences I had early on - specifically that time I was messing around on an on-site rope and fell off, tumbling down a pile of rocks and hitting every part of my body on the way down, when everyone thought I'd died - but that's why you wear a helmet and over suit!) In conclusion: caving is the most fun a girl can have, please try it - I swear it gets easier and eventually you stop being scared, I'm so glad I've found my people and a hobby I genuinely love. The one thing I've ever done that was MORE FUN than caving was mine exploring (because of the complete autonomy you have when you ARE the responsible adult!)
The first time I heard thisbsong was in college. Someone used it to do a project lol. We had to find a piece of media and break it down and discuss a bunch of different elements of it. It was such a banger even the teacher liked it

Who else went from "Soon we'll be 30 years old" to "Once we were 30 years old" in the last 7 years like Lukas?
7 years ago I listened to this song on repeat in a very dark place. Today 7 years later, I’m sober & living my best life. So GRATEFUL to be here, & my children can warm me. Expecting my first Grand baby soon on his way. Thank You Lukas❣️❣️❣️
Congratulations!!! So happy for you ❤️ not much makes me happier than to see someone in recovery, no longer just surviving, but discovering and living their best life!!

In a couple years you're going to wish you were 20 again but you'll find what you didn't have when you were younger is knowledge and years to heal
hey fellow autistic! hope you’re doing okay
Please, try to stay strong! Times will become better even if you can't believe it right now!
Aww God help you bro. I read it and I’m so emotional rn wish i could helpppp. Life is 🤦🏾♂️😞
You are strong and beautiful, and I know those are just words on a screen but they're so incredibly true. I love you and you got this.
This song has forever, stuck with me. ❤️
You will always be a legend, and this song will in fact go down as one of the best songs of all time!
Very long
My son introduced me to this as his favorite song 7 years ago.

Have always loved this wonderful melodic song and when it came out 'Soon I'll be 60 years old' resonated as I was 59 ....
0:52…. “And she’s here lady’s and Gentleman” THATS AMAZING
I traveled from Peru to Norway, Sweden and New York, to sing this song along with Lukas!!! Those are deeply happy memories I go back to whenever things get difficult.
The best thing is this was the song that made them famous. That means he wrote this song when they were still nobody. ❤

This made me cry that’s how well produced and nostalgic it is
Once i was 11 years old, now i have 18, seven years pasted as fast as a train, but this song always brings me back to that times and makes me want to continue. This is not simply art anymore, this is history.
Unbelievable how someone can do a MASTERPIECE like this
Funny how time flies by so fast.

This song is a constant reminder to cherish wherever you are at the moment, as it'll become memories in time.

one word to describe this song: nostalgic
My year 6 class wrote lyrics to this song about leaving primary school. We sung it on out last day of primary. I am now in my las year of college before university. This song will always bring tears to my eyes and the wonderful memories of primary school.

This song represents life. I really love this masterpiece.
Love this cold chills
7 years - primary school - 4 BFFs
11 years - lower secondary school - 1 bestie + a few friends I was too scared to commit to
16 years - upper secondary school - first boyfriend + his friend that I'd known for years but never got close to
17 - 6th form - lost contact with everyone during the pandemic, made 2 new friends at my new school, was constantly ghosted by my best friend, but my BF + his friend stayed in touch
18 - started uni (and hated it), befriended a girl I knew from camp by pure chance on the first day and started running a uni society with her, was surprised that my BF's friend (and her new friend that appeared from nowhere because their mams met and knew their daughters would get on so forced them to hang out and lo they got on very well!) were still spending time with me, finally started to accept my best friend didn't care about me, struggled to be be social at uni and fought myself to start caving with uni (even though everything about it was so difficult, especially going to socials when I barely knew anyone and couldn't accept the people I did know actually liked me and was just so scared - more scared than I was of the physical aspects, which absolutely freaking terrified me!)
19 - started enjoying spending time with my 'new' friends that I'd known for years (because they actually like me and want to spend time with me?? Who knew??), broke up with BF on good terms, switched to a better degree I actually enjoyed, befriended everyone in my caving club and did a ton of crazy socials with them!
30 - god knows where I'll be in years time, but I think it'll be somewhere good, since I'm always learning to accept people's friendship and push myself even when I irrationally fear social rejection!
Oh, and maybe I'll be an amazingly experienced caver with a successful sciency job to boot? 🤣
Crazy socials are as follows (and no, we never tell the student union!):
climbing walls, bouldering walls, SRT in disused quarries, wild swimming in rivers, exploring abandoned lead mines, sneaking into the secret tunnels under the city, doing all of this in the middle of the night, in the dead of winter, miles from nowhere, during a storm, AND drunk, etc.)
Everything that's ever caused anyone fear in a cave (some of these scare me, some are things I've seen others be scared of):
deep dark murky water, dark, isolation, being lost, claustrophobia, heights, your harness catching on stalagmites when your trying to navigate tight muddy crawls, exhaustion, cold, stripping down to your underwear out of soaking wet clothes at night in winter in the middle of nowhere, rockfalls, falling off a free climb, getting wedged sideways in a crevice, floods, the scaffolding/rope/ladder/wood/rock you just put your hand/foot/bum/leg/elbow on MOVING when you put your weight on it, almost missing your callout time, bad air, that time many years ago we lost a few students to bad air, or even the few near-death experiences I had early on - specifically that time I was messing around on an on-site rope and fell off, tumbling down a pile of rocks and hitting every part of my body on the way down, when everyone thought I'd died - but that's why you wear a helmet and over suit!)
In conclusion: caving is the most fun a girl can have, please try it - I swear it gets easier and eventually you stop being scared, I'm so glad I've found my people and a hobby I genuinely love.
It was such a banger even the teacher liked it
Believe me it is not your voice is miracle ❤️love you from India
