It's interesting to see that a lot of the things iPhone users are waiting for have been available on Android devices, Honor, Samsung, Google, etc... for years now. At this point, my iPhone will be playing catch up. I think the only difference and advantage that Apple has is that the U.S. media leans more on what Apple does, thus making Apple's offering the most popular.

It all comes down to personal preference and/or if you're locked into Apple's ecosystem or not these days. The quality of features, customization, and advancements (AI) are *really* good on Android. The value is all there for the consumer on Android. Much better than it used to be. However, Apple's ecosystem is nice! If you have a bunch of Apple products, it's very inconvenient to switch and Apple has rightfully made it so on purpose.

Yeah battery tech has not advanced at all in the past 10 years.. phone batteries that powered our flip phones could easily power our new smart phones for a full 10 minutes. If for some reason you do not think the batteries are not good enough yet, its just a matter of time until they are. I have a Tesla, and have it charged overnight in my garage is an amazing experience, never have to go to a gas station or charging station, just charge at home. and if I do a long roadtrip, the fast chargers are great, and keep getting better. There is literally nothing wrong with the battery solution to consumer transportation as it keeps getting better.

There’s just as much invested into the making of the car as to support the ownership experience, which most people don’t even grasp. For instance many thousands and thousands of proprietary Apple Chargers would have to be implanted to insure a consistent Apple level electric charging experience. Of course no OEM can have just one car model. Kiss that fat 44% operating margin goodbye. Even highly experienced Mercedes is backpedaling off pure EV production and Tesla itself has been slashing prices since last year.

Battery companies are forecasting a 50% reduction in battery costs over the next 2 years.. but what do they know? and ICE cars do catch on fire way more often than EV cars, but that doesn't mean anything. Battries are dumb, we should stop making them for all products. I am going to put my head back in the sand now.
@@ZupE891 , We need a better solution to batteries and internal combustion engines using fuel. It appears Apple doesn't want to touch what the solution might be, which is saddening. No answers by our big corporation folks, we will still need to be at the pump for many years into the future.
@@erichvonmolder9310 What is wrong with the batter approach? Its very safe and getting safer and the cost keeps going down and the range/capacity keeps going up every year. If for some reason you do not think the batteries are not good enough yet, its just a matter of time until they are. I have a Tesla, and have it charged overnight in my garage is an amazing experience, never have to go to a gas station or charging station, just charge at home. and if I do a long roadtrip, the fast chargers are great, and keep getting better. There is literally nothing wrong with the battery solution to consumer transportation as it keeps getting better.

There’s just as much invested into the making of the car as to support the ownership experience, which most people don’t even grasp. For instance many thousands and thousands of proprietary Apple Chargers would have to be implanted to insure a consistent Apple level electric charging experience. Of course no OEM can have just one car model. Kiss that fat 44% operating margin goodbye. Even highly experienced Mercedes is backpedaling off pure EV production and Tesla itself has been slashing prices since last year.
