That robot is a KMR iiwa which is around 400kg. I remember having to lift one of these with an engine crane after it ran out of battery too far away from the charger.
I definitely agree that the whole uncanny valley thing is something that will have to be addressed massively in the future with robotics. It’s currently present in computer/video games and is going to start happening more so in animations so we are in a good position right now where we can be prepared for that in the development of robotics. Basically make it obvious that they are a machine, but you can still empathise with them as being something that is still intelligent or worthy of respect.
@@danielwhyatt3278 I think that the chat bot heads are a great way to introduce people to how non threatening , fun and useful that social and household "Bro Bot's"really are. I like the Alan Head chatbot on Will Huff's channel. He looks retro tech cool like a Moebius character in heavy Metal magazine in plain stock, but he has a skin available for the more modern sleek look. He can do all of the basic AI home functions , and you can go with his standard charming C- 3PO style bot voice , or choose a celebrity download voice like Samuel L.Jackson with extensive story and talk references and different age appropriate language settings. ( Squee!) ruclips.net/video/88FS68hiSrs/видео.html But the real kicker this past week has been Sophia's big announcement. Elon Musk , Engineering Arts and Promo bot are all going to have some catching up to do . ruclips.net/video/LrIkf7MC8SM/видео.html

can't they have a neutral gear for manual pushing?
and have a seperate battery module so you can swap
wow, this is awesome.
I want a Baymax.
This tech would probably be far less distressing than a humanoid robotic medical assistant for those patients who suffer from uncanny valley syndrome.

Not quite up to Star Wars medical robot tech.
