Knowing me I'll probably stumble at the first hurdle. I find it difficult to navigate software, but this video will definitely help.
Intesting about panning the bass to the left. It makes sense but wouldn't have occurred to me until you mentioned it.
I guess techniques like that in combination accumulate to help give you your great sound.
