Just wanted to say to all the people talking about kickstarters not being on this bike. Well, honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki 2020 models 450f race bikes don’t come with a kickstarter anymore. They’re all electric start and electronic fuel injection. Welcome to the new era of dirt bikes. Say goodbye to the carburetor as well. Whether you like it or not, the industry is changing and you can’t do anything about it other than securing some older used bikes and put them in your garage.
Yesterday I drove 3 hours and bought the one-year Wonder the 2009 crf230m I'm going to put off road tires on it it looks like brand-spanking-new I like it I'm excited my feet can touch the ground on this I got tired of falling down on my KLR650 which had everything and the kitchen sink falling down off-road trail riding you had to be a beast to pick it up and I could get it up but I'm disabled with a spinal cord injury and the bike wasn't practical it was so heavy so now my feet are on the ground and I'm going to put big tires on this bike and use it for Offroad hunting and exploration
Solid review....like the comment " if you want a bike with alot of power, then buy a bike with a lot of power"... I'm looking at one of these for my next bike. Currently on a KLX 140G
I thought you lived close to me when I caught a glimpse of the honda of the ozarks logo on your bike.. Then the chadwick clip.. I am looking at these myself for chadwick I bet they are perfect for this type of riding
Dave Stinson tbh i would get the 230. because its for your son, the seat height on the crf250 is a hell of a lot more than the crf230. and maintenance on the 250 is ridiculous (change the oil after every 2 rides, valve adjustment every 4 rides). while the 230 is basically oil half a year depending how you ride it, valve adjustment once a year (valves on 230 is very simple compared to crf 250)
Prime Clan is there a big wheel and small wheel variant on the 230, I'm not sure, but mine has full size tires, 18' for the rear and 21' for the front tire

The 140g only has about 8 hp though, I was looking at it too, but ended up with a crf230f

They really are. The guy that I bought one the bikes from also used it trails at Chadwick

@REMEDY if you are a beginner looking for a trail bike get a crf110 or crf125 and if you are going to race get a yz65
@REMEDY if you are 12 I’d say get a 65 2 stroke because when I was 5’3 I had to tippy toe a 85

The 230 is actually very heavy I’m gonna buy a fuel injected kx 250 or 450 there a lot lighter

Around 65mph. It is geared really low for trail use
Bro changed my sprockets for a little higher speed and 65 mph would be screaming on my bike. Stock speed more like 55 to 60 . Still kinda screaming

My 230 has a lot of climbing power and goes through mud a lot better

E start is excellent, has never ever failed.
