Rick, it has been quite the journey following your channel over the years. You went from hunting flea markets with Cary, Tommy & Chuck, to having them run expo booths for you, to opening a massive store, to getting major sponsorships, and now your own full length infomercial. Amazing dude. i remember when you were bummed if games were over $2 🤣 So crazy how much has changed in the collecting community in such a relatively short amount of time. Looking forward to many more!
I’m the employee that sold him the two games at the last vintage stock. Def come check it out and come buy stuff from us and talk video games if you’re ever around Fayetteville Arkansas!
Yeah he's into pokemon, power rangers, cartoonish games that look to be designed for younger kids , thinks Nintendo made the best systems and is wearing a 3rd eye blind shirt. I enjoy the channel but it's hard to relate honestly quite often. Age gap I guess. Good for him. He likes what he likes.
I remember my mom buying me that same black label on clearance for my bday, her not knowing anything about RPGs I had my doubts. Turned into one of my all time favs and I have been saying it so wrong for almost 30 years. Never knew
It’s kind of cool seeing this guy with hundreds of thousands of views going to stores I grew up in. I grew up in Rogers and moved to Conway with my wife. I’ve been going to that vintage stock since I was 11 and was going to game point before he bought it.
There are 3 Vintage Stock (V-Stock) stores in the Greater St Louis area. One in St. Peters MO., one in Chesterfield MO, and one in what is known as South County MO. Also, there are 2 in Joplin, MO.
Great grabs fellas. The super puzzle fighter is the biggest get for me. Those vintage stock stores are really nice looking, I've never seen or heard of them. 🤟🤙🤘
People may be saving for the spiritual successor to Suikoden called "Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes" releasing on April 23rd 2024. It was a Kickstarter game that had huge funding success, but the best part is that its being directed and produced by Yoshitaka Murayama who created Suikoden.
Disclosure these are all located in Rogers Arkansas NOT Fayetteville...I live here...wish I can make it to Conway to see your store...new to channel and LOVE IT...BIGG KRIS aka BK
As soon as I started watching this video (only the second I've viewed on your channel) I immediately wondered if you were going to find a Castlevania game. The N64 Castlevania titles were my favorites growing up.
Maybe the only grail in the video, price wise, doesn’t even get mentioned (Although I don’t know why anybody would want it). Color a Dinosaur in the Box.
Rick, I laughed my ass off when I heard you say Suikoden. You are the only one I've heard pronounce it that way. The correct pronunciation of Suikoden is "Psy-koden."
Hey retro rick love your channel you do great gaming videos also I got donkey Kong 64 for my 64 yesterday I got the 64 on Monday and got new games for it yesterday nice pick bro😁👍🏼
I wouldn't call those grails if they fairly are easy to find. All solid games but if all fairly easy to find they arent a grail in my opinion. A grail in my opinion need to difficult to find uncommon and low print or manufacturer run.
I recently ordered a CIB Suikoden II to finish my North American Suikoden collection. Now I just need the card game for GBA and I will have all the Japanese games that weren't released here.
Hello @RetroRick i love your channels, i love the whatnot too but because im in another country, i never know the exact time you re gonna be there. Can you put a countdown somewhere? It would be nice for everyone who doesnt live in the US like me but have someone who can receive the games and then send them to me later. Thanks a lot, keep growing, have a great day !
Haven't watched the video yet, but seeing a boxed copy of DK64 being called Grail #9 is strange. "Grail" has apparently lost all meaning. It just now means anything cool and worth more than a hundred bucks I guess? Before a Grail meant something rare and hard to find. Not even necessarily expensive. Stadium Events being one of the most well known. In N64 circles it would likely be Sculptors Cut, or one of those games packaged with a shirt or figure. In Ps1 circles it would be a jewel case variant of a Long Box game like Ridge Racer. Ohh geeze I bought Silent Hill black label!! GRAIL!!! It's lost all meaning.
Looking for rare games is more accurate. A grail to me is an Action Comics 1 or if you want it to be video game related, Stadium Events. Just saying. Not hating I just feel like the term grail is just getting overused these days.
Gotta nitpick just a bit. Just watched this video, and you kept saying you were in Fayetteville during the first 3 stores. You were in Bentonville and Rogers. The last vintage stock was the only one in Fayetteville.

I miss Tommy Nitro 😢

Just heard Rick say, "...I don't like Star Wars..." and now I'm questioning everything.
🗑
me too... bummer😒
When I heard that, I was like, "UNSUB"....but I'll give him a second chance
Sorry dawg. Getting the downvote for that slippage

Watching this has made me realize the term grail/grails means absolutely nothing.
Exactly my thought.
I agree
A Grail is a personal thing. One man's grail is another mans trash.
@@smithmr1 none of those were picked up here. They were picked up for a Whatnot auction. A big ticket item does not always equate to being a "grail".
the term is really what the individual desires.
I'm always amazed at the amount of stock these stores have ...
Props on saying the title "Suikoden" correctly! The creator passed away recently so seeing that game gives me feels.
I remember my mom buying me that same black label on clearance for my bday, her not knowing anything about RPGs I had my doubts. Turned into one of my all time favs and I have been saying it so wrong for almost 30 years. Never knew
It's pronounced Sui-skro-dem
As someone that also lives in arkansas Vintage Stocks are pretty cool I bought my copy of Epic Mickey there!
I loved it when you spoke to the lady in the thumbnail. She's awesome! 😂
It’s kind of cool seeing this guy with hundreds of thousands of views going to stores I grew up in. I grew up in Rogers and moved to Conway with my wife. I’ve been going to that vintage stock since I was 11 and was going to game point before he bought it.
There’s NO better feeling than finding a Gaming Grail. I love the hunt 🇬🇧❤️ We all do right?!
Ricks turning into Richard Simmons

What do you mean saving for it haha?
Also, isn't that game launching on Game Pass day one?
Dam just realized that I won one of the games featured on this on your Whatnot tonight. That’s pretty sweet. Thanks for what you do Rick.
Hell yeah, you're in my area. Welcome to the neighborhood! There's a Game Xchange in Van Buren, Ar. as well.
Got the pleasure of running into y'all while you were filming this.
Disclosure these are all located in Rogers Arkansas NOT Fayetteville...I live here...wish I can make it to Conway to see your store...new to channel and LOVE IT...BIGG KRIS aka BK
man, when I live in Joplin mo I love going to vintage stock. a great store today they don't have them here in Utah
As soon as I started watching this video (only the second I've viewed on your channel) I immediately wondered if you were going to find a Castlevania game. The N64 Castlevania titles were my favorites growing up.
Gotta collect em all
Awesome thanks for sharing dude
Maybe the only grail in the video, price wise, doesn’t even get mentioned (Although I don’t know why anybody would want it). Color a Dinosaur in the Box.
There is video game retro store around my home in downtown savannah, GA that has the same Pikachu and i believe it is for sale.
Excellent video Rick
Awesome video 😊
you have alot of cool vintage shirts come through your channel...this third eye blind might just be the best!!!
I live right next to Crested Butte, Colorado. Always makes me smile to see Michael's CB shirt!
That third eye blind t shirt is so so dope. So jealous.
Great hunt, keep finding those grails!
No lie, the real gem in this video is that 3EB shirt...
you totally bypassed the door with the full size TARDIS
Omg I lost it @10:08 🤣🤣💀💀💀💀💀
mario dance rmx 😁

Should’ve got this for Riff. You KNOW he loves Bow Biters…
Rick, I laughed my ass off when I heard you say Suikoden. You are the only one I've heard pronounce it that way. The correct pronunciation of Suikoden is "Psy-koden."
Oh wow. I remember that NES Castlevania game. I loved it.
So many cool stores!
Hey retro rick love your channel you do great gaming videos also I got donkey Kong 64 for my 64 yesterday I got the 64 on Monday and got new games for it yesterday nice pick bro😁👍🏼
I’m the weird guy that actually really likes Castlevania 64
4:29 Super Robot Taisen OG Saga DS. Passes it right by. Clearly difference of opinion on what is considered grail.
I wouldn't call those grails if they fairly are easy to find. All solid games but if all fairly easy to find they arent a grail in my opinion. A grail in my opinion need to difficult to find uncommon and low print or manufacturer run.
Well that’s just like your opinion man
@@Teadrinker710and?
Baby park mesmerized Rick. 😂
I got the chance to go to these sores a couple years ago. They were amazing
Love the Third Eye Blind shirt
Suikoden mention in Retro Rick?! Love it
I recently ordered a CIB Suikoden II to finish my North American Suikoden collection. Now I just need the card game for GBA and I will have all the Japanese games that weren't released here.
that zelda "insert" is the map!! cmon Rick!! lol
Crypto Rick back at it again with another video boys!!!
For 200 Bucks, this better be the 5 screw lol
You really should reserve the term 'grail' to be the top 3 highest priced games per console.
How does such a big store filled with 90 percent crap stay open and have multiple locations in a small radius? Crazy to me
Anyone remember the 10$ game collection series? That was peak Retro Rick.
1:06 *illuminati confirmed*
We're playing fast a loose with the term "grail"!! ;)
I live near Montreal and I'm so jealous of all the store who sell retro game in a short radius in the US, it's a barren wasteland around here...
I was thinking the same thing…
Heck Yeaa I Never seen another vintage stock I live in topeka kansas and we have one here
NES controller box is sooooo nice.
I'm feeling pretty good since I have like 75% of these CIB.
How much was that base set 2 charizard? Only asking because I’ve been saving mine since childhood
Yes Rick you are correct, half the games do not have to be Castlevania...ALL THE GAMES HAVE TO BE CASTLEVANIA!!!
👊😜👍
"Grail" is the most overused word ever on this channel... but I don't even care. Just fun to watch! =)
Guess the SMB 3”Left Bros” in the last store on the bottom shelf isn’t a grail..
I doubt the DK64 has the expansion pak with it, but $75 for the game, box and presumably the manual isnt bad
And now I want Freddy’s… Thanks Rick!😂
On Canada CIB means
Seald ...in ...box
You have the box copie not seald
Retro Rick back on the hunt for grails
Hello @RetroRick i love your channels, i love the whatnot too but because im in another country, i never know the exact time you re gonna be there. Can you put a countdown somewhere? prices in america are so high for this stuff , wish I could sell my stuff in america :D
I dont think rick knows what a grail is.
Haven't watched the video yet, but seeing a boxed copy of DK64 being called Grail #9 is strange. "Grail" has apparently lost all meaning. Ricky Edit, calling it now.
I followed your link and it did not credit me $10? Is there something else I need to do?
Where can I get my hands on that amazing black Retro Rick jacket you had on?
I have never seen Donkey Kong 64 on any store not even in the 90s.
Wasn't that SuperRobotTaisen on the DS considere a Grail?
Dude! I got my eyes set on a sealed Zelda, not just CIB. March 1 is my birthday, so do I get a birthday present? lol
RJ
Me. Casually looking at my chain chomp lamp
the same boxed zelda $250 in the uk unreal
“Charizard is our childhood!” Not sold on that.
I just did watch a whatnot commercial!
Hey Rick. Do you have a copy of Sensible Soccer for the Sega Megadrive? Like your content, thanks for doing it.
Being a leap year day that the giveaway happens, I'm slightly bummed you didn't find an old school CIB Frogger to giveaway.
Nice!!
I enjoyed this episode
Belgium isn't in the list of country's on whatnot, too bad
I’m the employee that sold him the charizard lol.
Carey is so good-looking.
Hey Rick, you’re looking for grails in this video I wanna ask you about one of my personal grails.
How about PSone
X-Com UFO Defense?
Looking for rare games is more accurate.
A grail to me is an Action Comics 1 or if you want it to be video game related, Stadium Events. Just saying. Not hating I just feel like the term grail is just getting overused these days.
Exactly. Drives me crazy lol
For my son !! My tummy hurts.
I keep marking my list off of places to not go because all the good stuff was already bought
But like, where can I get that jacket?
Gotta nitpick just a bit. Just watched this video, and you kept saying you were in Fayetteville during the first 3 stores. You were in Bentonville and Rogers. The last vintage stock was the only one in Fayetteville.
Can't believe you left the dragon warrior cib
Classics would be the right term
Several years ago, I called them about that Pikachu and they said $1500.
i would check the upload , videos not playing right
