You and Monet are my favorite painters.

Gorgeous !
Out of the videos I've seen of yours, this is my favorite. You've inspired me to try painting loose jellyfish. Thank you.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it
The top part of the jellyfish is the “bell”. It has tentacles & the little dots on its tentacles are called nematocysts - they are the stinging cells. And apparently a group of jellyfish 🪼 is called a bloom / smack / brood / fluther / swarm / smuth or a stuck of jellyfish
Yaaasss..this is what I call art..I'll try to do this tomorrow
AMAZING!
THANK YOU
It reminds me of a colorful kit. Beautiful. Thank you :).
Thank you!
Isn't this simply Beautiful!! Truly fantastic, Kris ❤️

Kris, I believe the strings” are called tentacles?
This is absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you!
Beautiful tutorial,thank you!
Hi, the top part is the Mesoglea, and bottom are the Tentacles.
amazing!
just stunning, ty for sharing
Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful and thanks for the tutorial (new subscriber)!!! 😊🎨🖌
Jellyfish body part names:
The top part is just called the body, and the stragglers that come off of the body are 2 different things, the smaller skinny stringy (stingy too-ouch) are the tentacles and the flowy larger ones are the "oral arms". It's how they eat. The tentacles are what stings its food and stuns it so the food gets stuck in the oral arms and I think they either eat with their arms or they bring it up to the bottom of the body to ingest it. IF I remember correctly, those are the body parts! (The more you know🌈🌟)
This turned out so beautiful!
Thank you!
I love your loose style so much! So inspiring. I just subscribed to your channel and can't wait to see what else you have done. Thank you!
A question: you said you were using a Windsor and Newton watercolor brush, (?) but link is to Chinese calligraphy brush...?
Hi Jodi, the description box has been updated with a link to the Winsor and Newton Brush. Here's alink as well: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0141MP32C/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=krikey-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B0141MP32C&linkId=658bfeb876adb9665cda64c9bae3b7be
Gorgeous
Thank you!
What type of watercolor paper were you using?
Love your paintings and the materials you use. Can you tell me what brush you used? The large brush you used doesn't look like the ones at the link you gave. Thanks.
Thank you! The brushes posted are in three sizes. The largest one is similar to the one in the video. Here's a link if you'd like to purchase a single brush www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017X6GFB6/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=krikey-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B017X6GFB6&linkId=939483d43b042a820f5cb32448db7bca
I’m totally new to this, so can you explain the difference between inks and pigment watercolor paint? With This ( beautiful) piece you kept referring to it as ink. But it seems to act like pigment WC paints I’ve seen. Thank you.
Gorgeous. When I attempt something like this it turns into a big blob. :)
sara moyer I definitely suggest taking my course if it turns into a blob. It will help tremendously!
So beautiful!! I'm just getting into inks. Do you add water to your inks before going on the wet on wet? Or just straight from the bottle? Your channel is so inspiring
I add straight from the bottle
Can you use liquid watercolor for the same effect?
Yes, but it won't spread as much
This is amazingly gorgeous ❤️
Thank you!
You forgot to list the gel brush ink you used at the end
Really beautiful! Were you working from a reference picture? Love the delicate movement.🤗
Yes I took inspiration from all of the photos at the beginning of the video. Thank you!!
Tku
Yeah I'm not ready for this lol my attempt is an embarrassment 😳😖🥴
the tentacles and the oral arms. ... The tentacles hang down from the bell and have stinging organs to stun the jellyfish's prey. In addition to the tentacles, jellyfish have four to eight oral arms. thank you to google for this! 🙂
Love the video and your creativity! But your microphone makes me wanna quit watchin, its hoorrible haha
Beautiful! I love it!
