Wes, do you have any more info about receiving Google reviews? I teach an online course and have always gotten glowing reviews from clients. But when they try to leave me a written Google review, it shows up on their end, but I NEVER get any notification on my end and it does not show up publicly. I'm betting it's because they don't live in my immediate geographic area, so Google filters them out. I don't know how to get them to show up and it's super discouraging to know that I could have dozens of 5 star reviews to speak for my work, but it's not happening. I don't know the solution. I work with clients worldwide.
That sucks Meg, I'm really not sure why that would be happening. There are tons of bugs/quirks like that in Google's ecosystem, and htey never really say why. Hope it gets worked out at some point for you!

Not that I know of... but I think doing it is kind of the point. As Alex says, you get better the more you do it.

I’d just do it so your business listing is complete. But as a non local business it’s not likely to do much other than that.

Why does our Google Business Profile not look like the one you show in the video. We can only select woman owned and that's the only option we get given there. The additional category layout looks different than what yours does and it seems to give you way more options than what ours does on our side/view.
Your business category will show/hide different options like that. I think that's all thats happening there.
