I've been to well over a hundred concerts and 8 Rebellion/Epicenters plus other festivals but, this day and this song will forever hold a spot in me. We arrived that morning and had just parked. Started to get setup for tailgating, speakers out, beer cracked, etc when I got a text from my boss (company owner). Her husband, a coworker for 10+ years finally lost his battle with cancer and she asked me to pass the news on to our team. I spent several minutes collecting myself then got my tailgating crew to lift a tequila shot to Rob (rip brutha). When 5FDP played this and brought Allyson out, that night I balled the whole way through the song singing as loud as I could. Manyh songs hold special moments for me and this one shall forever do as well. Fuck cancer!!!!
It's so sad to watch the fuck cancer interview from this event, because you can tell she knows she doesn't have long, she puts on such a happy face but deep down, you can tell she knows. And that's something someone her age should never have to experience. She's at peace now and I don't think anyone could ask for a better final farewell .

Cancer is the true epitome of evil. I also lost my father to cancer when I was 16 , 3 days after my twin daughters were born. He held on til he met them, which I will forever be thankful for. My heart aches for you. It’s been 32 years now and, unfortunately, I have no false hopes of “closure”.Over time you learn how to function and live again. I realized to do that, I couldn’t focus on how to accept it, or get past it I also couldn’t dwell on how pissed off I was that he was so unfairly taken from me, my children, my family, the world- I had to feel all those things without letting it take over. I have lived in relative happiness for 3 decades with my daddy still being present in my life, memories shared, ever wise advice passed on, goofy jokes retold, in this he remains alive in our hearts and minds. Stay strong and hold dear the precious memories.
Both of my step dads died from cancer love you guys you showed me what a man is. One was a marine and the other airborne ranger from Vietnam. Thanks mother

Like Adam posted above, 'no one should have to face it alone' but as a single Dad l was diagnosed with stage 4 and had to keep it a secret. That was the hardest part for me. Surgery went well, and now 4 years later the kids still believe that "Dad hurt himself at work and had to go to the hospital." (Which explains the large scar.)

I know those phrases sound kind of empty most of the Time but I realy mean it as honestly as it can be when i say; I'm incredibly sorry for you. I would never dare to say I know how you feel (how could anybody ever know how others feel) But I think I can understand and empathize pretty well with how you must feel. my little sister, who is my whole world, is still alive and will be 23 this year. But at the age of 16 she received the same diagnosis as her mother years ago and then told her that there is no cure, but that they can make a pretty accurate assessment of her life expectancy... and they told us "not older than 30 if she's lucky... her mom died cause of this fucking disease when she was 5 years old (I call her my lil sis but we are not related by blood) her Father was my best friend. And I lost him on a mission, And I lost him on a mission, which in the end was my last, when she was 8 and was left without any family. since than shes my World my life and my reason. I promised her to protect her from everything and never leaf her alone no matter what. And then this damn bitch which calls itself fate brought me the only enemy I can't fight. Sorry for making short story very long but what I try to say here is. I might not know you and maybe never will, But there is one thing I can promise you with all my confidence and faith and my soldier's word of honor. The moment I read what you wrote, my thoughts went to you and your sister and thoughts are immortal as soon as you share them with just one. I don't know if it means anything to you but what I can promise you is that as long as my thoughts exist you're never really alone. Every thought of a person is precious and my thoughts of the last few minutes were for you and your sister. I wish you all the strength you need to keep going and by telling others about your sister and sharing your thoughts, not only immortalizing her memory but immortalizing her in my opinion... like you did with this post . Sorry for your loss my condolences really from the bottom of my heart , my uncle has cancer and I’m pretty sure it’s spinal and well he’s in the hospital as of right now he’s had it before it came back and it’s growing fast and well his body is unresponsive he can’t move / he is loosing movement in his legs and arms he can still speak I wish I had someone to vent to , the situation is really fucked up right now only my siblings and my mom are supporting him because he doesn’t want to tell his family/ siblings because they are greedy and well every time they only speak to him is when they need something (money) not to call and say how are you doing etc.. he doesn’t want their empathy and false hypocritically words . And well before the cancer and anything my whole family like My dads side are all assholes and they all talk shit about each other it’s a toxic ass family that’s been like that since generations and well MY family like me my siblings are breaking the cycle , I’m getting side tracked here but basically my dads side of the family (he is my dads cousin) talks shit about him and no one ever really speaks to him when we have “reunions”/ “party’s” . It goes way back on why they don’t really like my uncle supposedly cause they/my grandma /aunts on my dads side toxic ass bitches thought he was fucking my mom and my dad is an insecure mf who believed what they said anyways that shit is like some 2003-2007 drama they need to let that shit go because even up to date they still talk about that and I’m like about to snap on my dads side of the family idc if I get disowned they need a reality check and I know a lot of shit in my 18 years of being here I could expose everyone on my dads side of the family , I could keep going but It’s really a lot of fucked up shit , anyways back to the point he doesn’t want to see them or for them to know because I’m telling you they are really fucked up people who will only take advantage of him and he knows they want to take all his valuables if anything happens to him . Attending this show in 2018, then finding out in the next week that my paw paw would be diagnosed with cancer, makes this show so much more important to me. I cried here, at a heavy metal show of all places, and I am not ashamed to say that. RIP sweet girl, your Carolina Rebellion family loves you!

I got lucky to survive an adult form of liver cancer when I was 5-8 years old and years of fighting. This is truly awesome. It breaks my heart to know so many beautiful souls didn’t get to survive. I hope she felt incredible amounts of love that night before she had to continue her fight in a lonely hospital bed. Rip beautiful soul

It goes way back on why they don’t really like my uncle supposedly cause they/my grandma /aunts on my dads side toxic ass bitches thought he was fucking my mom and my dad is an insecure mf who believed what they said anyways that shit is like some 2003-2007 drama they need to let that shit go because even up to date they still talk about that and I’m like about to snap on my dads side of the family idc if I get disowned they need a reality check and I know a lot of shit in my 18 years of being here I could expose everyone on my dads side of the family , I could keep going but It’s really a lot of fucked up shit , anyways back to the point he doesn’t want to see them or for them to know because I’m telling you they are really fucked up people who will only take advantage of him and he knows they want to take all his valuables if anything happens to him . I know he is going to make it he has surgery tomorrow/ they told us today because it’s really bad . FUCK CANCER !!

And being in the military and fighting and putting on the uniform alot of my emotion was taken out during training and stuff but this shit finds a way to knock that big emotional barrier and just put me in tears like no other. Love ffdp and especially when he does this with the kids. #fuckcancer

I got lucky to survive an adult form of liver cancer when I was 5-8 years old and years of fighting. This is truly awesome. It breaks my heart to know so many beautiful souls didn’t get to survive. I hope she felt incredible amounts of love that night before she had to continue her fight in a lonely hospital bed. Rip beautiful soul
