Thanks, I understand the concept... But, how can we save this so we'll be able to click on our textures whenever we need (like if I want to use it on clothing or objects)?
Nice!! BUT I HAVE A QUESTION :3 When playing wih figures over the limit of some sliders, it stretches the surface maps ! So for example, you have a wool shirt on a very fat belly, the wool maps will be enlarged in a not nice way. Could I manage to only affect, lets say, only the belly section with displacement map??
This works great on a Daz primitive, but I followed this tutorial for an imported model and it doesn't work. What is the process for getting this to work on an imported model? Is there a tutorial on that?
I can't seem to find any videos from this decade that use DS 4.21. Kind of frustrating trying to figure out where to find things. Plus he doesn't explain things in enough depth. Like why it's important to be in interactive in your Draw Settings and Render Settings, or how and why to duplicate a map in grey scale, etc. People who know these things, probably already know how to find and apply maps. Edit: I think he needed to explain that going back from "Interactive" to "Photoreal" in your Render Settings makes a difference too.
Thank you for posting this tutorial, you made the complex easy to understand. I was able to use the info to solve the issue I was having.
Thank you so much! mine looks so real I could've sworn I saw a little strings coming out of my fabric!!!😀
Daz ! you guys are doing a fantastic job!
Thanks for this tutorial

Great tutorial, although i think my PC would make funny noises if I pushed the SubD that high
Why not put some tools in order to improve skins materials?

After importing your obj you have to add the iray uber base. Without the uber base it won't work.
