Iowa lost two WNBA players n yet are in good shape to continue rolling. With Olson n a top 15 recruiting class coming in n have key return players (Affoltor, Stuelke, McCabe n others) Iowa has a chance to continue its tournament string. Many people don't know Iowa has been to ten straight tournaments Lisa Bluder was national coach of the year winner n took Iowa to elite eight in 2019 BEFORE Clark got to Iowa. In fact Iowa has been a tournament team eighteen out of last twenty four years including MULTIPLE sweet sixteens. Iowa had been good for years before Clark arrived in Iowa City.

@@Jamie-ff1zm they lost lisa but Jan Jensen has been her assistant coach for years. I do not suspect that thw coaching will change much.

Iowa will be irrelevant now that Clark is gone. The program will be below average

The transfer portal is a nightmare for collegiate sports. It just makes strong teams stronger and weak teams weaker. Not fun to watch the same teams making it to the playoffs every year.

At this point these kids are playing minor league sports and they’re free agents every off season. There needs to be clearly defined rules and regulations for how NIL works and mixes with the portal. If they’re getting paid make them sign contracts with schools so they have to show some sort of loyalty.

Yea it's hard because I definitely think they should be allowed to get paid through NIL, but at the same time, it completely changes the landscape of college sports. I agree, college athletics has operated like a professional league the past 3 years since NIL became legal. Some states have even passed laws allowing the schools themselves to pay players directly from NIL deals. So it doesn't look like the rules are going to be any stricter... Probably the opposite.

Among the best guards in the NCAA AND going to UConn to replace Muhl. the all-time assist leader. Pretty big miss if you ask me.
