For now, yes the motor is stock. We have done a couple simple mods to make it look a little better, but no motor work yet.

Awesome! Which color did you go with? I believe the rear view camera is standard for the ZL1 1les. On the 17-18, the camera was on the wing, 19s and up are on the roof antenna to see over the wing. I'd check with your dealer just to be safe, but I am pretty sure people have been saying it is standard.

Thank you! It has paddle shifters already. If you mean adding the stick on extensions, I'm not sure. I'm not really a fan of it, but it may go with the wrap we will be doing. I bought a 1le conversion bumper for my car, was wondering what color to paint the chin splitter, grille, and canards. Are the canards and grille a different color than the satin black splitter?
On a ZL1 1LE, the canards, splitter, grille and ground effects are all plain grey plastic. No paint on those unless someone gets them painted after they get them. From the factory, they are not painted at all. People also buy the aftermarket carbon fiber versions of them too.
I had to replace the splitter on mine last year because I pulled in nose first in a spot and scratched up the front a bit before I got the wrap on, so I ordered a new one from the dealership to get put on when the car got wrapped. It came to me with no paint or anything on it. I was able to just put it on and keep riding.

Most of those lights come a certain color maybe because of DOT standard and not necessarily a Chevy thing. Another example is Audi “euro” spec cars vs US models where the lights and other things slightly vary for compliance. Your car looks good though as is. Hell of a deal for the power. 💪🏽💪🏽

Aren’t all spoilers functional? Btw yes changing the side markers seem like a small thing to do but really do make a difference. Shit sounds nice 👍 also maybe look into jl stealth boxes so u can still keep the space while having good beat

I was going to do a JL stealth box in my 5th gen with the 3 8s, but we did a custom box with LEDs, hydrographics, and JL W7 10s instead. I think it may have ended up coming out cheaper and better bump to it in the end. Been a while so I can't remember lol. The ZLE will be a track car so the Bose is plenty for it 🤘🏻

Yeah I think it's the cleaner they use. They don't really clean under the hood like I would for a show. I will be trying to remove it the best I can this weekend. 🤞🏻

I thought my SS Camaro was so fast (don't get me wrong, it sounds awesome and looks different from everything else) but when I got in this car and actually got to see what it can do, I'm all about that ZLE life! Such a fun car. Will be posting the 1000 mile review next week if I can get this corrupted file to work. 😂

They are the OEM setup all ZL1 1LEs have. Multimatic suspensions are found in the ZL1 1LEs. The non-1LE ZL1s usually have the magnetic ride suspension.
If you are reffering to my SS, they are the 1.4" lowering springs from eibach.

Thanks! There is a reason why we did it that way. I'm not rich and I've seen people complain that the car is no longer fun to drive or tame on a road course after you go past the 800hp mark. The dealership I got mine at literally had a doc that traded in a manual he got to 800Hp+ for the 10 speed auto. For what we have planned, the 10 speed auto is the way to go. Manuals are fun and all, don't get me wrong, but much easier to mod the 10 speed transmission for the power. (At least I hope from my research before I got it 🤞🏻)

How good are the speakers?
Honestly, I haven't had time to tweak them much since I got it. I've been too mesmerized by the sound of the exhaust for now. 😂 I will say, I am happy with the quality that Bose speakers have with a stock system. I am glad Chevy went back to it since the Boston Acoustics didn't live up to my expectations in the 2011 SS. I eventually swapped the system out in the 2011 with since JL Audio C3s with its own dedicated JL Audio amp that sounds much better in my opinion.
Sorry if this question seems redundant but my dads first car driving is an 88 iroc and it’s my first car that I drive too so I want one of these new zl1’s so bad. If I’m only trying to hit 0-60 is the overall driving experience of the 1LE worth it and will you go faster because of the track performance ?
No problem at all and thanks for the great question! I went from a 2011 SS. At the time I bought it, it was the best new Camaro you can get with all the bells and whistles. It has been a great car and I live driving it, but the new ZL1 Is so much better in so many different ways. The look of it, the comfort, technology, and it's already boosted so its a great platform for easy added power! I love the look of the 1LE package on top of it plus it's fully functional. The 1LE package will not make you go faster in the sense of 0-60, but it will help on a road course go hard into the corners and hit the Apex. If you are looking for a drag car or a mile time attack car, go for the regular ZL1. The aero won't hold you back. If you are looking for road course or autocross action, get the 1le. Just my personal experience and opinion. Feel free to ask more if you would like. 🤘🏻
Thanks for the reply man I’m always tempted to go for speed over anything especially since Chevy let’s you add the spoiler on the ZL1 and you can get a sunroof with it as well but I’m sure you’re a better driver than me so you’re thinking about the course haha. Pretty sure I’m gonna go with a new ZL1 With the spoiler spec and sunroof in cherry red I’ll have to make a video and tag you in it safe driving to you!

I was too! I made a whole video, posts on social, and everything hoping someone would tell me something to know to go a certain way. It was tough, but after having this car and what I plan for it, it's gonna be so sick!
My thought process is that EVERYONE is going broke to have a hellcat. For a new fully loaded Redeye Widebody like I wanted would be $92,000. Also, I live in a poor county, so the thrives know they want that motor too. GT500 is great for the price, I am just not a fan of the interior and they look basic, but they are cool with that carbon package. The ZL1 is a monster and the 1LE package makes it so much more fun for tracks. If you don't car for track and want to go for the straights, save the money from the 1LE kit. This is fully loaded at $81,650. So much tech on this beast and I am have such a fun time with it!
Will be making a 1000 mile review of the car and if I think it's worth it down the road. Just hit the 500 mile break-in period and when I got on it, night and day difference between my cammed 5th gen SS. 🤘🏻

It takes 5-6 months if you were to order? Even if it is a regular zl1
It all goes through the same factory, so I would imagine so. I've spoken to dealers that will be waiting 12-15 months for the current C8s if you were to place the order today.
I was thinking a little more about your question and I forgot to mention that the additions you put on the car may also hold it up or get it to you faster. If they are out of the stitched center console if you ordered for your spec, they might have to outsource it to get made. So, it can get hung up for extra time that way too. It's all a 💩 shoot from what I can tell

You are right, there is not for the 19s and up. Apparently, they had an app called homelink that would work with it before and they did away with it. I think I heard the 18s were the last to have it. Replaced by the camera rear view mirror.

With the 1le package, yes the 19s are an option for the MRR wheels.

Does camaro have option for sunroof?
Yes, Camaros can have sunroofs but not the ZL1 with the 1LE track package. It's a track car basically and a sunroof will weaken the integrity of the car. I think the SS 1LEs can come with a sunroof, but not the ZL1 version.
Is that gas guzzler tax added on or is it part of the msrp?
Gas guzzler tax was under the "extra options and features" section and was included with MSRP of the car from what I can see.

No problem at all. They are a ton of fun for sure. I was telling another guy in the comments that I am kicking myself for not getting one sooner. At the end of the day, my total was about $81,650 or around that. Not too much more than the MSRP. Hope you get it and let me know what you think 🤘🏻

No, this is not a redline edition. The Redline package only comes on the LT and SS models. 2018 models, discontinued on the 2019 models, and came back on the 2020 models.

Is it really hard to see out of it?
It does have blind spots because of the slanted front and back windshield and a ton of pillars to see around. My 5th gen has been a bit, but the camera on the new one helps so much more!
Protip, if you want to back into a parking apot in the lines or back into a driveway, just used the motorized side mirrors. Has worked for me for 19 years now.

Can it push 145 MPH
Not yet. We just got the motor broken in. It's been snowing, raining, and ice storms the past few weeks here. Looking to get it wrapped first, then working on the motor. Yes, it can def go over 145mph easy. I had my SS up to 150 before the tires started to give on them.

Checking on it and will get back to you. Wasn't a feature I thought came on Camaros, but I see a few people on forums are wanting it on the new ZL1s
I saw an Australian version where LHD Is converted to right hand drive by HSV and sold in Australia. That got adaptive cruise control could be a country specific
Here in UK we can’t get hold of them as they won’t pass pedestrian safety regulations. I am thinking to import a regular zl1 which can pass the regulations.

Wow! So, of I decide to sell mine for a C8 Z06, I need to go overseas to sell it. Got it 🤘🏻 people around here just see it as another car. Of course, this is before the wrap we will be doing and such 😂
No spare??
It seams not. They do give you some gel to pump in he tire to get you to a shop in case you have a nail in your tire. Other than that, no spare. Didn't get one in my SS either.
A lot to of manufacturers with the new cars are leaving out the spare tires these days, not just Chevy. The car is equipped with run flats and they give you a small tire pump with the fix a flat to get you to your closest repair shop.
I plan on changing mine when we wrap the car. Possibly another wheel tire package that way I can bolt the track tires on/off instead of breaking them down. They sure do love to pick up rocks and pebbles on the rock and fling them against the paint

I'm not sure I understand the explanation/reasoning of getting an auto "because of the high horsepower." how does high horsepower equate to a bad manual driving experience?
Apparently, it's not as fun trying to shift a manual with high horsepower compared to an auto. The people I've talked to who track their cars say it's more of a hassle trying to put the power to the ground on a road course when you go above 700hp+. They traded theirs in for the 10 speed auto and said it is much more enjoyable now. I wanted the experience of the 10 speed auto since I've never had a car with one. I love driving a manual car, but this 10 speed is great for this car and I have been happy with my desision. (Talking about tracking this car on a road course)

I've always owned high horsepower manual cars, driven them hard at HPDE events, and they've always been more engaging and connected than autos (to me). perhaps what your friends are trying to say is that the auto 10-speed is *faster* around the track due to not having to worry about shifting.
Could be the case for sure. Since I'm all new to the road course track style, it might be better for me to learn on the auto to concentrate on my Apex driving style instead of everything all at once. Can always get a manual car when the time comes. Would be fun to do a comparison video.
Funny i wish i could afford a car like that...in Greece for a car with 6.2L you will have to pay annual road tax about 1500 Euros and about 1000 more Euros for insurance....oh did i mentioned that the gasoline here costes about 1.6 to 2 Euros per liter ? (about 10 $ per gallon) xD
Yikes! That gas sure does suck. We are over here complaining about $3 gas. This car might also be outlawed in Europe because of the diveplanes on the front. I guess they think it can severe body parts of pedestrians if going fast enough. Crazy

Well in Greece the average car has 1.4 to 1.6L engines...and the funniest thing is your new Camaro actually has the same fuel consumption as my Rx-8 🤣
It's all about how heavy your foot is to the floor haha. I can say a boosted ZL1 with the ZL1 fuel setup uses more than my SS withheads and cam. I do dig the rx8 though. Wanted to get me one bit we talked out of it and now I don't see them on the road anymore.

They are great too, I just don't think I can deal with mixing fuel and trying to troubleshoot a rotary. Respect for anybody that has one and deals with it.

Why get the automatic
Manual is fun and all, I will have another manual at some point, but the A10 is new (shifts amazingly fast) and I've heard once you get into the 800hp+ range with these cars, they are no longer fun to drive. I've spoken to a couple ZLE owners who have traded in the M6 for the A10 and are much happier. Same power levels as before, but a lot less hassle. Since we are looking to go passed that number with this build, I thought it was a great chance to get to test out the new A10 for myself and it's been a blast! Even the paddle shifters are way more responsive than the 5th gen A6. The only thing I've heard about the transmission that we will need to fix is the cog for 7th gear (doesn't like too much power) but other than that, we won't have to get a whole new unit to hit those high numbers. 🤘🏻 Thanks for asking and stopping by.

I ordered mine though New Bern Chevrolet. That may have been 1 of the 2 we were trying to get. We found 2 black with red accent 2020 models. One was a stick and one was the 10 speed auto. The dealer wouldn't work with my dealer to get it over to us, so we had to order it brand new and wait 5-6 months for delivery. The wait is painful 😭 I'll def chack you out. Would love to hangout and go to some meets even though Charlotte is a ways away 🤘🏻 Camaro fam

😂 only reason I got black is because imma wrap it soon. Otherwise, I'd go a different route. White looks good too though! I actually picked up my car in New Bern (2 hours away for me) and haven't been back to Wilmington since my wife graduated college (miss it there). Please don't put an ugly ass wrap on it like your other camaro. The yellow lights are required fed law. You can get a ticket now as a primary offense. That's why they put the yellow there. The motor is the same but detuned so it doesn't beat the corvette. But other then that my wife's dream care

What it will look like, will have to see. 😂 I understand the sidemarkers are there by law, but they are just an eyesore with the way they did them.
