What a beautiful locomotive Scott! I’m really happy you were able to find the parts to get it repaired. That just makes you so upset you finally get a locomotive that you really want it just to find out something is wrong with it. Great video! 👍💯
Great video. How can a company that changed so much for a locomotive let it leave the factory with inferior parts . Luckily, a person with skills like yourself had that one.Nice job.
I would like to think that it as more my fault than there’s. The traction tires were sooooo good, that it broke the drivetrain before the wheels slipped. 😊 Also, this is a used engine, though lightly used. Thanks for watching.
@scottstrainloft5965 not the first time I have heard of this I have an old rivarossi 4 6 4 chassis I modified to be a 4 8 4 I added a set of drivers to it and put it in a Bachmann daylight gs4 shell it has two black rubber traction tires I pulled over 50 freight cars with it nothing ever broke. As beautiful that company makes locomotives they could do a better job with the drive train .they are not the only company, lionel for example bad units right out of the box. I buy used broken stuff and fix it. I really can't afford to drop 500$ plus on a train, and if I did, I would be disappointed if I had to fix it anyway. Anyway, you have a beautiful locomotive .I love to see people over come problems when the have them, that's half the fun of model Railroading.
@scottstrainloft5965 I just got back in the hobby my self got my first train in 1977 a tyco midnight special and got out in about 1985 when I was 15 I wish I never got out of it .
