As the author of the GDC Logistics Realistic Fuel Prices mod; I'm happy to see that such a popular member of the ATS/ETS2 community is using and promoting my mod. Thank you very much Toast.
As boring as most people would think it is, I think the game should have a tutorial phase where you can go to trucking school to master everything and get your CDL and you can either lease a truck to work for a company or buy your own to build your own business when you graduate. Sims but for trucking.
Nah, I agree. The current career progression is totally unrealistic. Like your not gonna do a dozen freelance gigs and then get your own truck. I feel like a really old SCS game 18 Wheels of Steel had that progression where you were a company driver first and then you could graduate to like an Owner-Operator or start your own business and that would just feel so much more immersive, to me
I can admit, the Real Traffic Density mod made the whole game WAYYY more realistic. Traffic in downtown feels like you're just driving on the outskirts of any city, barely any traffic.
Gonna admit, the light traffic is a real plus for me. I have to fight it every day driving the real rigs, why put up with it in a fantasy game? Then again I'm also running around in a bulletproof supertruck with a helicopter bubble for a cab, so...
Hi Toast. Thanks for presenting these terrific mods. The best part is that they are all mostly from the Steam Community or SCS forum. Hopefully, every helps to protect mod creators by only downloading from a trusted site, and not re-upload these mods somewhere else.
Dude, the mods that you show on this videos, all of them together make the game 3 times better, i download most of the mods that you show here, and play with all of them active at the same time and i have a much better experience with these mods, thank you for showing me that any game can be better with mods i am eternally grateful for that.
Do you happen to know how many of the mods shown here work on TruckersMP? I'd love to use most of them but I often play on TruckersMP and I have a feeling some might not work there
The most important for more realistic game play can be changed in setting. It's to widen your fov. It makes the truck speed feel realistic and the braking distances
Wow. The sim itself looks pretty cool. But the mods look awesome. As a guy who used to drive, decades ago, this interests me. I might find myself willing to spend some money and time, *IF* the sim, or the SIM and mods, will allow me to build a hard core old school truck from my era. For instance, if I could build a Peterbilt 359, 260"-270" wheelbase, juiced 8V-92 TA Detroit, Spicer 6 over 4 transmission, etc, I could probably convince myself to spend the time and money. Thanks for posting this video, great job!
This is just extreme level of hardwork and dedication towards the entire gaming community! For someone who's just started ATS do guys recommend switching to these MODS quickly or try out the Vanilla version first?
the rain one is prefrence, cold rains good but I often find even with wipers on the fog to be too dense/visibility too small, which is why I use Realistic Rain instead, but brutal weather is the best for lighting weather
hi toast thanks a lot for the video just both ats a couple weeks ago and found the mod scene kinda week until i found your chanel u gave a new life to this game for showing this mods 💛
Great mods all around, you showcase the mods very well and I will most likely be using most if not all of these. - I actually use a good portion of them already so now I have more to add to make the game better! Ty
Here I am playing damn near vanilla with maybe 6 or 7 mods for textures and cargo. I have all map dlcs and have been enjoying every second of it but I can guarantee I'll be subbing to most if not all these mods when I jump on next, thanks a bunch!
I'm already using some of these mods. Want to use more, but I'm having a lagging or stuttering every so often and can't find out if it's a mod causing it. Really enjoy your videos, keep up the great work.
6:20 the guys description for this mod (on steam) gave me a good laugh for about a hour and haven't used it yet (I'm busy right now while typing this and haven't had a chance to log in.
I'd really like to see the devs implement some sort of realism mode with a logbook. Doesn't have to be ELDs necessarily. There's some dumb shit you gotta worry about in trucking that would make the experience more immersive like individual weights for steers, drives and tandems. Shippers will load you overweight. Sometimes you can scale out like at the bigger DCs and scrap yards always have them. Sometimes you have to scale at the truck stop. If you're overweight you'd go back and get them to take some of the load off or rearrange it so you aren't overweight on the steers. The damage system could be overhauled to include random breakdowns like a tire blowout or a coolant leak developing if you don't keep up on your truck. Hell even just a pre-trip GUI would be cool. Should be able to park your truck wherever you want too. To balance the logbook mechanic you could park wherever (highway ramp, an empty dirt lot) if you run out of time but you have the chance of DOT coming out and either giving you an inspection or fining you for improper parking. If they opened up the API more the modding community would have a field day with stuff like that. I mean people play other more realistic simulation games like DCS or even casual games like Papers Please with a bunch of mundane mechanics and they enjoy it. I'm sure many of us truck drivers would love to help them in this process because driving is arguably the easiest part of the job.
Some excellent points. I kind of think that you might have "experience" in the real world, especially the logbook which if not properly kept current can be a real thorn in the side of any driver.
Yes!!! I absolutely love your suggestions. Even with all these mods the game still feels very vanilla, I've been hoping to see the ability to even strap down my own load or actually be able to fuel up my truck. Anything to add to the actual immersion.
So you had the thumbnail show a mod that adds smoke to the exhausts, but didn't include it in the video.... Fantastic job right there! *slow clap* Then again that's the only thing I want to complain about with this video 😄The rest is great and edited well.
I wish someone will create a mod where an NPC car in the intersection will be like not paying attention to the light and you have to use your horn to make them move when it turns green. That way, there would be an actual use for the horn
Nice video! Long trains suddenly spawning next to you on a track next to you on a highway can be very disconcerting!! LOL. I don't know if there was a way to fix it or if it was ever done.
As the author of the GDC Logistics Realistic Fuel Prices mod; I'm happy to see that such a popular member of the ATS/ETS2 community is using and promoting my mod. Thank you very much Toast.
Love your mod can't wait to see what you make in the future.
Your mod is top bro, keep that great work 🙌
I use your mod and I love it
I wish your mod made the game more UNrealistic 🤣
Now you need to make a out of diesel fuel mod to add at random gas stations...
As boring as most people would think it is, I think the game should have a tutorial phase where you can go to trucking school to master everything and get your CDL and you can either lease a truck to work for a company or buy your own to build your own business when you graduate. Agreed it just throws you in the deep end lol

10:52 Very realistic cause if you see Obi wan Luke or Vadar as your co-driver you know that its time to find a place to sleep.
My CDL teacher said "you know you're tired when you see a purple dragon go past you" 😂😂
Wonderful how you present all these mods. I love the way you edit these vid's. And I find your vid's very useful, a nice source of inspiration.
I just can't find them on steam!
I was about to search some mods and the notification came out! Glad to see it, thanks from now Toast!
Same
A lot of bangers in here, I hope the ones I picked are up to date. Thank you for putting this together.

If you use the swift skin your truck won't be able to back up properly.
😂
Man, thank you so much!! You did incredibly great job! 👍🏽👍🏽
Google Maps was the only one I had downloaded. Can't wait to have a computer again and use all of these.
This was surprisingly well edited for a compilation video. So coming from someone who never comments; good job

Do mods, vanilla honestly is kinda rough around the edges
@@papapuffin9181 yeah dropped in lots of mods, the gameplay turned out to be more fun and realistic types! Thnx for the heads up amigo! 👍

Amazing mods! I'll now be using severl of these in my ATS game. Thanks for sharing!
The wheel pack and the sound packs as well as the rusty wheels and rusty trailer pack are some of my favorite
hi toast thanks a lot for the video just both ats a couple weeks ago and found the mod scene kinda week until i found your chanel u gave a new life to this game for showing this mods 💛
Great mods for the great game ! 👍🚛
Great video man!!! I think I'll add some of them 😎👌🏼
I never thought of using mods, but after this video maybe I will try
You're missing out.. mods are literally a game changer
0:29 Whoever came up with this idea doesn't know jack sheet. 😆🤣
Yea those are not scratches. Plus scratches are harder to see. I would prefer a dirt texture for the windshields.
Can't wait to mod my play through
Daniel's alts immersive events, realities traffic density and ratio, intermittent long freight trains
Merci, Thank You !
its unfortunate that 70% of these are out of date and wont see a update
Awesome video man. Crazy how many mods there are
always a worthy post @Toast . thanks my love xx

The cold rain mod made my PC lit on fire
You didnt even show the exaust mod. Good job.
Def some things ill be checking steam workshop for when I buy this game next sale.
Thank you for the video! ive downloaded most of the mods and I hope to get back into ATS!!
thanks for the info bro i need this stuff bad, i really like every mod here
Thanks for sharing this great video
Thanks for the info I need a good mod selection. I’ve been playing for about a year off and on and just now got my own truck lol
I have all these mods great video
This man is a goal cool
Nice video. Keep doing these mod videos👍
I want a mod that makes the trucks handle like they would in real life
I'm from Brazil . thanks
Love these videos man I appreciate it . So much .makes my streaming and video purposes so much more realistic
I think the intermittent long Freight train pack should have 2, 3, 4 and more locomotives and more manifest train or long mixed freight train
It is amazing mod pack! Thank you!
I'm already using some of these mods. Want to use more, but I'm having a lagging or stuttering every so often and can't find out if it's a mod causing it. Really enjoy your videos, keep up the great work.
Most likely a traffic pack
The only one close to traffic is real companies and billboard signs.
Love the video and the first music track too! I guess it is a NCS track but I love it!!
Amazing Video 👏🏽👏🏽
Why did I have to see this video?? Now I’m going to go down the rabbit hole of ATS mods and download too many for my pc to handle lmao
thanks for the video, much help all love keep up the grind
Impressive mods! Thank you ❤️
A great video, keep up the great work. 👍
What about the dispatcher mod demanding the impossible? 😂😂😂😂😂
Truck World Australia is around the corner, realism redefined
11:50 yeesh, I dunno if I’m ready for realistic fuel prices in 2023…
I was to lazy to hold my phone for this video. So put it on my TV. Nice introduction video from the mods. So smooth 👌🏼
Great video Toast, good mods, presentation and edited video. Thanks for all these good mods, specially the fact they are almost from Steam!!
thx for the video and great mods
I'm surprised I didn't see realistic traffic light patterns / times. I can count on one hand how many times I've gotten a green light 🤣

very nice mods but some link dont work anymore. can u update them?
Some mods are quite unnecessary, but there are some I already have in my mod list, so all in all it’s a good video.
Every mod is unnecessary since the game is more than playable without any mod. It all depends on your personal preferences.
i need the lawyer signs in las vegas for it to be real lol
Now all it needs is a mod to add HANDS to the steering wheel do it feels like there's actually a person driving.

2 questions:
1) Cold rain and Brutal Graphics and Weather can be used together?
2) Can ALL of this mod be used together?
yes to both of those questions
