Yeah you’re gonna maybe catch me off guard with PGs once. And even then that’s not guaranteed map/zone depending. I wish pgs were slightly better but at the same time realize that would be beyond oppressive and op
prismatic peregrines is a simple build tbh. That does not make it less effective though. as long as one gets used to the amount of air one needs for peregrines to proc, you can pull it insanely fast, and even turn corners with mouse if needed like I do. Swashbuckler(dmg) and/or graverobber(utility) to add up to the effect, getting you access to illegal TTK damages on the following seconds... if you survive; two taps with some handcannons too!. It's a burst build though, which means if the one-shoot hits only one guy, or misses the titan in question is left just kind of there, ready to be shoot or punched at before running for cover if its in the middle of nowhere, or trynna finish you off if you give him the opportunity. The cooldown is mild but with high strength, it becomes manageable; you wont see it twice in the same encounter, however, unless its extremely extended or montecarlo manages to get proper barrages on you. (or a lucky kill!.) But honestly there isn't much to pick from. Void is good because of Suppression and Shields on command, and, stasis! cause it offers some more utility at the cost of straight up lethality. On the other hand. Consecration can be countered by shooting you mid air or slowing before you even get the chance to slide, which is fairly common on prismatic hunters. Arc only offers sticky nades in exchange for not using prismatic lances, cause the running shield is kind of a joke sometimes. (Last time I played arc, it was not even worth it to upgrade the nades since they didn't regenerate properly, deleting charge beyond the first grenade at random when respawning.) Solar can be annoying with trip or swarm nades n scorch ,but, for that you got pris hunter doing an infinitely better job. And knockout in pris Titan does a better job than Restoration x1, also being able to do the combo you just witnessed. And unless you got some cracked Strand shield lashes spots, it's kind of mid.(Its really funny to see people tangled though) In conclusion: Peregrines funi
As a casual PvP player I just try to use peregrine greaves to challenge players in their roaming supers. It doesn’t always go my way, but it’s pretty awesome when it does. Thanks for sharing. 🤙🏽
Btw you can use this build in gambit without changing a thing used it the whole time farming for my bygones 1taps the envoys so primevil dps is insanely quick
I’d argue it’s one of the most predictable. Hold forward and pray. Slow dodge and Harvey specter make easy work to counter this. Any slow or smoke bomb instant shut down
I think you’re right. It is predictable, but in game modes like trials where we’re forced to play a certain area because of zones, it’s often still hard to avoid even when you know it’s coming. Play back, they cap the zone behind a barricade. Move up, you get greaved. Even if you get the trade, as you saw in the clips, it’s an opening pick that has high potential for a double kill with the lance. This build is one of many reasons why I hate zones in trials.
I see no reason to run shoulder charge over shiver strike. Saves you the exotic slot and shiver offers way better movement and counters hunter slow and smoke bombs. Goes right through them.
This is one of my most fun 6v6 jank builds with Swash Spare Rations and radiant for the Two tap besides Feedbacks (insanely underrated exotic btw). Only issue I have with it is that the tracking can be kinda jank.
Kamikaze isn't the right term. Think a better one is the OODA loop strategy. Observe, Orient, Decide, and Act. If you disrupt someone's OODA loop you create hesitation confusion and ultimately increase reaction time. It may appear not well thought out but in reality it is. John Boyd was a fighter pilot who got the nickname 40 second Boyd because he could out maneuver anyone in 40 seconds or less. Later he became a military tactician and implemented this strategy of disrupting the OODA loop that all human beings are prone to using. This is why occasionally off meta strats can be very good. Back when everyone was shoulder charging it wasn't an effective strat because everyone was expecting it. Now it's rarely used so now everyone's OODA loop is disrupted.
WOW, I combined an exotic that allows melee one-shots and a weapon with damage from melee kill. How smart I am. Now let’s remember why no one uses peregrins in competitive pvp, oh yes...they are not playable. 👍
@@simplylethulI mean hunters are the only class playing true d2 with prism, spamming abilities up like hell and not even factoring the exotic class items. Good old? That exotic was mid for the longest time lmao

just be in the air as well. it's harder for shoulder charge spammers to target you if you are fairly high in air using heat rises or lion ramps
Isn’t 2 Invigoration and 1 Absolution better for melee regen? Unless they changed it with Revenant that’s what I remember..
Generally double stacking any ability recharge mod is completely worthless. For example, bomber gives you 75% less for a second stack.
@@ianmills6260 Yeah, so if you’re going for literal maximum melee uptime sticking an Absolution there is still the best choice? Cool.
