- Potentially the EARLIEST piece of Oasis memorabilia in existence? Very likely! Recorded at OUT OF THE BLUE STUDIOS in 1991.
When the band were in their earliest stage (even before Noel had joined) they recorded a 3 track demo and rehearsed at a local Irish social club in Levenshulme, Manchester. The tape was copied for each band member and only 2 are known to exist now, it pre-dates the more known Swirl Demo Tapes by a good while.
For most fans, the songs themselves wont be a new listen. But it's good to hear the story and take the tour in this interview with the original owner Liam, who worked at the venue and was given this tape at the time by Paul Gallagher (Bod). Shortly after this, the band were kicked out and had to find an alternative rehearsal space.... The Boardwalk days were coming.
APOLOGIES in advance for the sound on this one, it wasn't a pre-planned chat so mics were not to hand. Видеоклипы
Thank you for this cool video, I love hearing stories about the earliest Oasis days before they were famous the most! So nice to see the venue where Oasis practiced. Everything he tells us about Bod, Liam and Oasis must have happened in 1991 then as it was pre Noel. Liam was only 18 years old at the time ❤
Always a pleasure mate, I certainly had a gormless gorp moment during this one.... 1993... what was I on about.
Appreciate the kind words. I have a lot of new unheard stuff to chuck up soon
fantastic mate, I love take me, I loved the story and the part where you walk through the streets with that song in the background, one can imagine a young Liam and Noel walking there and how giant they became afterwards
Yeh i did like that edit point too. The good old days back in my home town
Great video! Loved the story behind this and getting to hear those early demos is amazing to me… back in the early days of listening to Oasis and knowing about these unreleased songs, the thought of someday hearing them was a pipe dream! Thank you 👍🏻
My man, there is a lot more out there. I have 3 myself from 1997 but I'm determined to give them back to Noel to decide what to do as you know.... they're his haha. Watch out on www.bittersweethome.co.uk for a massive announcement next week
I hope this demo shows young passionate musicians that anything is possible. "You gotta make it happen!....."
Cheers
ABSOLUTELY! The worry these days is mobile phones.... kids are never bored so never wander over and pick up that old guitar randomly......or try that new sport. Pokemon has a lot to answer for!
Yeah the Dj who had a copy of the tape was called Johno he recorded over it. I met Johno back in the 90s with my mate Ozzy. Great video thanks Carl Manchester Vibes in the Area
Nice one mate. Yeah I enjoyed meeting Liam. He's a top fella with great stories
Absolutely awesome, mate!
It's great to hear the old demos, some that may do even well in todays market, even better with a story to go with it, nice one 👍
Appreciate the words mate, always a pleasure
Fair enjoyed that, would have been good to hear what the fella thought of a young Liam, especially when it's been said that he was always loud and had a swagger 🤷🏻✌🏻
I'll ask him next time we speak and reply back here for you mate
@@BittersweetHome top man ✌🏻
Great video!
Oasis and the roses are a massive influence on us ✊️
I'll have a listen on the long drive north tomorrow mate
Oasis was always Liams band. The band was called oasis before Noel joined and made the magic with the song writing. Unfortunately Noel ruined Liams band by leaving In 2009. Oasis would never be the same without Noel however the heart, the soul, the founder and the passion of oasis was always Liam. Noel made them who they were purely through the song writing and structure. Noel was the brains but Liam was everything else that mattered
Agree with all - but I think Liam was brought in too. It wasn’t ‘his’ band either… yeah? Not sure but I think that’s what I read once
It's their band and the sooner they realize that, the better.
Noel would be an acoustic open mic performer, and Liam would be a fry cook/crack addicted petty criminal if they didn't have each other. Brains and balls = rock n roll that
Well presented video
A mic would have helped eh.... appreciate the comment mate
Absolutely Stunned. I'm sure you put on pieces on here last year, but this is just Incredible. Thank You. I wish Alice could be released. In fact, I'd buy all these Tunes. 🎊🎁📻🎸🎤🔉
In February I'll be announcing some big news for an event in Manchester, even more rare stuff on show
@@BittersweetHome you make this sound like I have to wait 6 months haha 🙂
@@LIVERNIL723 June.....
alright so Reminice is a banger!!!! Always thought these tunes were as "The Rain" didn't realise they were demo'd under the name Oasis.
Rain changed there name when liam joined
@@davesmith8620 ah interesting for all these years i thought in the earliest stages of Liam being involved they were called The Rain. Thought it was Oasis only after Noel joined.
Take me sounds like the early stone roses
You're not wrong, heavily influenced by Brown back then eh
Are there links to higher quality copies of the transfer of this copy of the tape? The sound is really great but with the commentary video cross fades and RUclips’s compression, you can’t fully appreciate the music.
Great watch that 👌
Liam should rerecord Take Me, though I seem to recall him calling it "rubbish" in a *fairly* recent interview? I could be wrong..
He referred to it as rubbish in that Liam vs kids video
@@rook0078 That was it! Cheers.
Golden this like
so who are 'the harrisons'?
take me sounds massive with only 1 guitar... rest are poor but they were only just starting out
I have the whole tape in digital format so I can listed to them, I couldn't find anything online that matched up. At the risk of sounding nasty.... you're not missing much mate, I can send the recording if you wish
@@BittersweetHome no i was just interested seeing as theymust have been around at the time?? did Oasis supply him the tape to record the tracks or was it the guys own tape?
Whats with this guy keeps pulling up his sleeves , he cant help himself. Watch how many times he fiddle's with them. Whats that about!
My guess would be nerves, not everyone is used to being filmed AS WELL AS trying to understand my fast mumbling accent. Coronation St on Speed.
Hope you at least enjoyed the video fella.
*Correction; 'the biggest Beatles cover band in the world'.
They did a beltin job at it though eh haha
fuckin great, brother!
